- I just finished up designing the invites for Isaak's first birthday. Please click on them to see them larger. Everything is on one 8 1/2x11 sheet of paper, and folds up into a card. I put it on here in sections, so nothing would appear upside down.
- I scanned in torn colored papers I got from a paper exhibit I went to for work.
- The horse I did find on the internet, but I tweaked it a lot. The colors are very different from the one I found. I used the clone tool in Photoshop to remove the image on Isaak's shirt; then added the horse on his shirt with multiply set on the layer. The type was done in Illustrator.
- Isaak likes to hold balls. He doesn't quite get how to throw yet.
- I keep trying to get him to say, "Ball". He doesn't get that word yet.
- We got this camera today.
- It's definitely a step up from our last one; which we bought at least five years ago.
- Isaak will stand on his own for seconds at a time.
- He'll take a 1/2 step; then go down.
- Travis told me that he'll probably walk this weekend while he's at work.
- I have yet to get him to stand on his own. He always does his standing with Travis.
- Travis said that he sees a since of confidence in Isaak when he does this. We noticed things like this more with our second kid.
- In the flick above, you can see at the end that both boys are quick to take things from each other.
- I found out yesterday that I won a toothbrush holder.
- I won it off of, www.feistyfrugalandfabulous.com
- They have other animals too on, www.myflipperusa.com
- I think it will go with our rug in the bathroom. It has lines in it. They didn't have a duck, or frog one. Oh well. The kids will still enjoy!
- I got the book I won. It's so much fun. Both boys love it!
- Then I had a past student, the same day I got the book in the mail come in and give me a whole box of wooden blocks from www.fatbraintoys.com. They are a little different then normal blocks. Lots of fun shapes. He works there, and creates all their design work from packaging to their website. Their store is a lot of fun! If you are looking at this, and live in Omaha visit their retail store! It's by Village Point. Otherwise check out their website! Very unusual toys; you wouldn't find at most other stores. They've won lots of toy awards.
- I forgot to blog about this last week.
- Travis and Mica were talking about cute girls. Travis asked in regards to one of them, "Mica is she a cute chick?" Mica said, "No Daddy, she's not a chick! Chicks come out of eggs!" Silly him.
Isaak now knows how to make the spider climb up the water spout. He's getting good with his actions.
