Post Program

  • Isaak sat through the program pretty well, but started getting fussy towards the end. Aunt Angela was nice enough to take him out.
  • Here is cousin Ethan holding him.

Christmas Singing

  • I loved watching the little girl next to Mica. She was singing, or should I say screaming as loud as she could.
  • Mica would do the actions, lose focus and do them some more.

Christmas Program

  • Mica came out and looked pretty unsure about being on stage.
  • As time rolled around...he seemed more confident.
  • Evan is below. I loved his hat!

Pre Christmas Program

  • Mica and cousin Evan got to play in the preschool room before their Christmas program.

'Tis the Season For Bloody Noses

  • Mica got his first bloody nose of the season yesterday. We had problems with this last year. Daddy said that Mica was crying, he went in his bedroom to check on him and there was a small pool of blood on the floor.
  • Daddy cleaned him up and we've been squirting a saline spray in his nose.

Water, Water, Everywhere

  • Mica had a book that is titled: Water, Water, Everywhere, now it's Isaak's. I have the book memorized because Mica LOVED to have it read to him. Isaak is not as into books at Mica was. This isn't good. One thing that is good is that Isaak could care less about TV, and Mica LOVED TV too!
  • I thought about this book when Daddy told me what happened yesterday in the kitchen.
  • Yes...yet another kitchen mishap!
  • Our refrigerator doesn't always work when it comes to the drinking water coming out of it. We got a refund for it a long time ago, but didn't have the heart to get a new one. Our refrigerator that we have works just fine, it's just the drinking water that won't come out sometimes. So...we kept it.
  • We fill up a 2 gallon container with filtered water from the hose under the refrigerator.
  • This process works just fine, but there has been a few times Daddy has forgotten about the hose running, and the container filled up past the maximum capacity and went all over the floor.
  • Yesterday was one of those days!
  • Daddy went to go get the mail while it was filling up, came inside and forgot about the water runnung.
  • Water was everywhere! Mica and cousin Evan were like, "Daddy, water is going all over the kitchen"! Daddy went in there and the hose was squirting everywhere.
  • Silly Daddy is so forgetful lately! LOL

I Want to Be Santa When I Grow Up

  • Mica informed me that he wants to be Santa when he grows up.
  • He went on to say a bunch of stuff that made no since until the end, "I want to get Kaylee (a friend from preschool, not Kailey our niece) a pogo stick like she wants for Christmas. I want to go down her chimney and put it under her tree".
  • It's a good thing he's thinking of someone other than himself. Kids his age are all about themselves.

Conversation

  • This is how Mica and cousin Evan's conversation went after preschool yesterday in the car:
  • Evan: Mica, I miss you when you leave my house. Do you miss me when I leave your house?
  • Mica: No, not really. But...I do miss my Mommy when she goes to work.
  • Evan: I miss my Mommy when she goes to work too. I miss my Daddy too. Mica do you miss your Daddy when he goes to work?
  • Mica: No, I just really miss my Mommy when she goes to work.
  • Evan: Mica, did you love it when your baby brother came out of your Mommy's tummy?
  • Mica: I only really like him when he laughs at me.
  • Poor Evan, poor Daddy, part lucky Isaak and lucky me. LOL

Special?

  • Daddy asked Isaak, "Am I special?"
  • Isaak replied while shaking his head, "No, no, no!"
  • It was pretty funny!

Melted Plastic

  • Daddy almost started a fire tonight.
  • He put the baking stone in a hot oven, and didn't realize that there was a spatula on it.
  • We had to use the whole house fan to get the burnt plastic smell out of the house.
  • We're just out a spatula.

Stonz Wear

  • These booties at Stonz Wear are too cute for words! My Wee View is giving away one pair of booties (winners choice of design and size).

All Our Family Photo's

  • Here are all our other family photos.
  • The top one is the one we got, but I like things in all of them.
  • I thought they did pretty good.

Will You Marry Me?

  • Aunt Terra just called me telling me that Mica and cousin Evan (both 4 years old) are planning their wedding. LOL
  • Mica told Evan that Evan could wear the black suit thing, as long as he got to wear the white dress with a bow.
  • Silly boys!
  • Mica's asked me a handful of times to marry him.

Chalkboard

  • I forgot this photo was on the camera. This was Isaak at the doctor's office last week.
  • He was so eager to copy the other kids when they were writing on the chalkboard. He kept looking off to the side to see what other kids were doing.
  • All was good until he tried eating the chalk; then he had a miniature melt down when we got called back and he had to put the chalk away.

Rain and Snow

  • It rained sleet last night.
  • Daddy knew he would have a busy day today at work. We agreed that he should go in last night, so we could carpool today. He was at work from 8:30 to 11:30.
  • This morning it was snowing.
  • Visibility, and sliding around during rush hour wasn't too much fun.
  • I'm sure to Mica, slipping around with the car felt like being on an episode of his favorite 70's show The Dukes of Hazard, "Yee Haw".

New Words

  • Isaak now says, "Eat". He points up at his chair and says, "Eat" over and over again.
  • He also says, "Do Bobs", which is Doddle Bops. An annoying show that Mica loves.
  • It's funny that he says this because we don't turn Doddle Bops on for Mica very much.

Chocolate Roll Out Cookies

  • I made these and they were pretty good.
  • They sort of taste like brownies.
  • I wanted to make something that could be decorated, but was different from sugar cookies.
  • Overall I like them, but I have to admit they are a bit sticky when rolling them out. I sprayed my hand and the roller with flour spray. That seemed to help.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 10 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Cream butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Mix in the vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa powder and baking powder; add and mix well. Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill for 2 hours, or freeze for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. Divide dough in half. Roll out each half to 1/4 inch thick. Cut with desired shaped cookie cutters. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
