WW: School Events {Linky}

Mica's school had Grandparent's Day a few weeks ago. Grandparents go and have lunch with their grandson or granddaughter. We just got the picture back:

Great Aunt Becky (the one in pink) went. Mica calls her, "Grandma" more then "Aunt Becky".  The other two are my parents. In total Mica has 2 living grandmas, 2 living grandpas, 1 living great grandpa, 1 living great step grandma that he's never met and Great Aunt Becky that he calls, "Grandma" sometimes.

Then last week his school had a Dog Story Session. People with well trained dogs came to read dog books to the kids. Once they heard three stories, the kids got to go take their stamped book mark over to get popcorn and bottled water.

The kids with Mica and Isaak are two of Mica's friends. Their parents gave me permission to post the next two photos.

The next picture is a great image of Isaak, but Mica has his eyes closed. Isaak LOVES animals. I always feel bad because we can never have any furry pets. I have stupid allergies.

Beautiful pictures Alissa! Your children certainly have intersting events. It is great that they recently had Grandparents Day. I wish I knew some of my grandparents. They all died before I was born. Thanks for hosting and Happy WW!

Lucky!! I didn't have Grandparents, and sadly my kids never knew my parents either. Love hearing about so many grandparents!

Love the idea of Grandparents Day. What lovely photos. Our library just had what sounds like the Dog Story Session Day. The librarian has a dog who has been trained and they just had this special day this past weekend. I didn't dare go because of my allergies, but it sounded like fun.

You boys are blessed with grandparents so close & in large numbers! I wish I lived close enough to at least on of mine to go to events like this. Nice photo story :)

How fun! I keep wondering what I'm gonna say when the girls ask to get a dog. I'm not a fan of the work involved. That's why events like the one you blogged about sound very appealing!

Wonderful photos; it's so good that the boys have so much family close by. Kids can never have too much love!

Awww - grandparents day is such a cool idea. Our school doesn't do anything like that, but the next time I am at the school to volunteer and run into the principal or the VP, I am gonna mention it to them.

My kids are all grown and gone, but they did have grandparents day in their schools. It meant so much to them. Your children are lucky they are still here for them. Very blessed indeed.

I love that the kids could have dogs at their story readings. It makes the stories come to life. :)
