Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

I started doing what I call Sing, Sing a Song Saturday.  I'm going to post one song on Saturdays that the boys or I like.

The song may be part of a movie, a kid's video or just a song we like. I'll try and include why we like it and/or the history of the song/singer.

I was watching TV and saw a commercial that struck my interest. Twice now I've forgotten what the commercial was for. I just remembered that it was really cool, and that I wanted to find the one man band that played in it. Well I figured out once again what the commercial is for. It's for Delta Water Faucets. Have you seen it? Here it is:

The artist's name is Glenn Kotche. He lives in Chicago and composes, performs and is a percussionist. He's has 4 records under his belt. He has been a collaborator on 90 records! He has twice been on the cover Modern Drummer. He's part of a band called Wilco, but I'm choosing to mostly feature Glenn Kotche today.

Monkey Chant

Here Glenn Kotche talks about some of the sounds he uses:

Here's the band he's in called Wilco:

Never heard of him before but those things that sound like bells are pretty cool.
