Soon after they hatched.
One week later. They kept eating and pooping none stop it seemed.
This is when their jar was getting cleaned out a week later. The next day they started twitching and turned black.
Daddy got a video of one making a chrysalis.

Here's they are in their chrysalis state. They look like peppers hanging to me; with pretty gold leaf beads around them.
Five days past and now you can see their wings through their chrysalis.
Here are the Now they are Monarch Butterflies. We let them go soon after they came out from their hiding place.
