Random Tid Bits

  1. Isaak slept walked for the first time. I don't know if it was because he was sick, or just something random. He may or may not do it again. Dad woke up to him standing in the shower/tub, and walking around in circles. I don't know if he was going to go potty in there, or what was going through his mind.

  2. Isaak and I both grind our teeth. Thankfully Dad works at a dental lab. I've had 3 or 4 mouth guards made for free. I guess they don't do anything for kids, since their mouth shape changes so much, and they have baby teeth. It's just a manner of time before he gets a mouth guard.

  3. When I was little I slept walked. I got up out of bed, walked over to my sister's backpack that was hanging on our bedroom door, and blew my nose on it. I said, "Awww...that feels better!" and went back to bed.

  4. When I was in high school I spent the night at a friend's house. It was the brink of summer time, and her parents did their best to not turn on the air. We all had a sheet to sleep with.

I remember waking up (or not waking up at all) and saying, "What did you do with my sheet?' to the person next to me. She said, "I don't have it. Go back to sleep." I slapped her. I don't know if I really slapped her, or not. Then I proceeded to get up to look for my sheet.

I went into the living room to look for my sheet.

In the living room was my friend's sister (or not). She said, "Alissa someone is outside!" I went outside to look. I walked around in the front yard, came back, and told her (or not) "There isn't anyone out there." I went back in the house to lay back down.

I woke up the next morning to my friend's mom talking. She said to my friend, "Sarah did anyone go outside last night? The door was open." I came clean about what I thought was real. We determined that I was sleepwalking. My friend's sister was never in the living room at all.

  5. Lastly our kid that had night terrors was Mica. He'd wake up screaming crying, but was unresponsive. That was pretty scary. It's been a few years, since he's had problems with night terrors.

My little one had night terrors a handful of times when he was little and it was 2 or 3. SO scary!

I don't know if I would be amused or freaked out if I found my kids sleep walking. It's not something I have ever seen anyone do before!

Allison grinds her teeth as well, but they said the same thing about not giving her a mouth guard.

How funny you and he both sleep walked (though I bet it could be scary too).

Night terrors also sound scary.

My oldest is 27, and he doesn't sleep walk, but he did for the first time (that any of us knows of) when we were visiting. He doesn't remember a thing, lol!

I don't have any experience with sleepwalker but my kids talked a lot when they slept. Sometimes Obi just laughed or called out her brother, like remembering when they played before they slept. It can be a bit scary as well to hear them laughing in the middle of the night..

Sleep walking would bother me... because we have stairs....

Night terrors- broxton had them as a baby, but not now. Now he just talks in his sleep from time to time. (He just asks " did it snow?" and then keeps sleeping. I really hope it snows this year for him!)
