WW: Haircut {Linky}

Mica really wanted his hair long, to put in a ponytail. I was ok with the idea. It's just hair.

A few people said things like, "When are you cutting your hair?" Which inside I eye rolled when people ask questions like that. It's kind of like people saying to me, "When are you going to color your hair?" When people say that to me I respond with, "When are you going to stop coloring yours?" It's nothing I care about, but if they are going to jab me, I'll jab them right back. Ha!

Not for the reason above, but for the reasons below we convinced Mica to get his hair cut a bit. It can grow back if he chooses in the fall.
  • His hair is super thick, and it was getting hot, it it will only get hotter as summer approaches.
  • He also hated it being brushed. If you're going to have long hair you have to take care of it.
  • The boy kept getting the front part in his face.

Before

After

It's a little shorter than we were expecting, but he looks great. He's happy with it, and that's the important thing. He has a crooked bang line, so often times when it's cut short his bangs are angled funny. I'm glad they got it right this time!

I think both styles are nice but the haircut one is suitable for summer :-)

Have a styletastic week :-)

Oh, he has beautiful hair. I like both styles actually. Good for you for jabbing back! My good friend from high school doesn't dye her hair and yes it is gray and I've never mentioned it, neither has she for that matter. To each her own! :)

yeah I know what you mean. I get quite irritated when people ask when we are going to cut lil Pumpkin's hair too!

The new 'do looks great on him. My 10yo is on a long hair kick just now, and our deal is as long as he keeps it clean and brushed he can keep it long. His older brother went through the same phase around the same age, and now at 20 keeps his hair super short. It's hair. Whatevs.

He looks so much more grown up with the shorter do. I am sure he'll love having it off his neck this summer!

Very handsome young man, would definitely be cooler with shorter cut!
Happy Wednesday!

How fun that he shows personality through his various hair styles! My boys don't seem to care one way or another. Which is good for me - I can cut it myself which is free!

When my son started school his hair is till his waist as we never cut it since birth. But he ask us for a haircut because he said his classmates are teasing him as a girl and we have to obliged as its his wish.

My son looked different though. He looks older and well lighter so I guess its not so bad. And yes we have to brush the hair a lot which he hate so shorter is easier for all of us =)

Your son looks amazing after the haircut as well. Ready for warmer days!

We just went through this too. And like you mentioned, so many people kept asking me when I was going to cut my son's hair. I didn't cut it for that reason either, I had it cut because it was just getting too sloppy looking for school. ;) That in-between stage is hard to manage. I told him he can grow it long over the summer if he wants to do so.

No offense at all, but even his haircut is way too long for me. I like my two clean cut and always keep them buzzed on 3.
