Mother's Day Party

• I was invited to Mica's preschool for a Mother's Day Party.
• I have to admit, I was a little nervous about leaving work. I have one student that is leaving for Iraq, and this was his last day. I had to give my student leaving his final exam, I also had a quiz and guest speaker scheduled. It gets a little, ok a lot hectic towards the end of the semester.
• I didn't want to be the only mother to not show up to his preschool.
• It was really sweet!
• They had tables set up with flowers on them.

• Mica came walking into the room with a HUGE smile on his face. :)

• The preschool spent the first part of the morning making muffins for us.
• They sang 3 mom songs for us. Mica's in the red t-shirt. He wouldn't clap for one of the songs, and got too into the other. LOL

• The preschooler's got to pick out a book to read with their mom. We played Hokey Pokey. Mica's favorite game was when we sat in a circle, passed a heart around. Music was playing, and when it stopped whomever had the heart had to hug and kiss their mom.
• Then the preschooler's passed out our gifts. I got a flower pot that was painted on by Mica, with a little plant inside it. Mica was so excited to give this to me.

• After the party I took Mica to McDonalds. Then had to go back to work.
