School Science Fair

If you remember I helped Isaak with his Science Fair Project, and Daddy helped Mica.

Isaak filled up a balloon by mixing vinegar and baking soda.

Mica did a study on evaporation.

Daddy took them to school that morning, which was about a month ago. He helped them set up.

The kids do not find out the winners until the last day of school. It must take them awhile to tally the votes, or maybe they just want to save who won until then.

Each class has a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention.

Both boys got 2nd place. It's funny because Mom helped Isaak, and Dad helped Mica. The boys had to write all their own stuff on their signs. They had to prepare their own experiments to.

  1. Good for you and dad, and the boys. I remember well the agony of science fairs when I was teaching. I tried to make sure everybody got some kind of award. It wasn't a level playing field.

  2. Yay for the boys! That is awesome. Neither of my boys have had a science fair yet and I am totally ok with that. It is tough coming up with ideas.

  7. Way to go! Second place is great. I love how you helped, but made them do most of the work. I hate it when parents do all the work, then the child takes credit for the win but didn't learn anything in the process. Congrats to the boys!

  9. Congrats to the boys! I never did care much for science fairs, and that's only because I've never been good with science myself.
