Isaak just started playing basketball at the Y. He couldn't understand why he just couldn't go into playing full fledged basketball. I'm a firm believer that you need to know the basics before jumping in to do anything - like dribbling with his head up. He only wants to use his right hand to dribble. All these things he needs to work on are normal. Practice makes perfect. He's having fun with it.
Don't take a picture Mom!
Hustle!
He did make some baskets.
Head up son!
I've never been a sports person, but if I had to choose one to play it would be soccer. What about you?
I have never had anything to do with organized sports since I played "cricket" Little League in 1964. Just never caught on with me. I think it's good for you though, if you can last it out.

ReplyDeleteVery nice.Hope he keeps with it. I played basketball in high school against some guys who went on to the NBA. I still like to go and shoot sometimes.
ReplyDeleteNone of the boys are into basketball. They prefer to play badminton. Great to see your kids enjoying the game.

ReplyDeleteway to go, Isaak...my boy hasn't really played basketball yet :)
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I liked basketball at his age, but never learned to dribble correctly.

ReplyDeleteLooks like he's enjoying his sessions. My youngest now has a thing for volley ball.
ReplyDeleteMy son played soccer for a few seasons and we all really liked it. He misses it and I can't wait until I can get him back in.
ReplyDeleteYup I think one should get the basics right first before trying the hard stuff.. it's harder to change your bad habits later on!

ReplyDeleteHe seems to enjoy it, still learning..we have a few on the team that don't know how to pass to others.
