I haven't seen doves in like forever! I love the sound they make... I use to see them all the time when I worked downtown Chicago. They were everywhere & sometimes you even had to dodge them & yes I got bombed once... grrrrrr
Weird though it is, some Southerners believe that a dove appearing outside your house in early morning is the soul of a recently departed loved one. My sister, for instance believes that. Who knows?
I enjoyed your comments. It must be difficult to express views that go against the flow on a conservative blog, especially with grace and tact. I wish more could do that.
@Harry I have friends all over the place. Some are conservative, some are very liberal, and a lot are in between. My only hope is that the very conservative and very liberal take a step back and see things much like a Cubistic Picasso painting is: All sides. It isn't easy to do. I have my opinions that often bump into another person's opinions. If we were all the same there would be no opinions. Life would be boring. It would be like all fruit only being one variety of apples. We need bananas, cherries, and so on... I appreciate you for being you.
I find their cooing relaxing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous experience finding a nest.

ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting!!!
Doves are so pretty! Though, I am not a fan of any bird waking me up in the morning lol

ReplyDeleteDoves always get scared away so how fun it must have been to be able to watch them up close like that!
ReplyDeleteAww how sweet that there is a baby dove in there. They are such peaceful, sweet birds.
