I got a chance to review a discount card for prescription medicine. The site is: medicationdiscount.com
One thing I do love about this card is that it's super easy to download, print off, and you can use it right away!
The cards are small. They are the same size as a standard business card. They do fit in your purse, or wallet easily.
Where Card Works:
It works at all chain pharmacies. Including Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, and many more. It works at over 59,000 pharmacies nationwide. That's pretty handy!
My Experience:
I called into Walgreens and ordered my allergy medicines for the spring. One thing I did not read carefully enough was that this can not be used instead of insurance. My insurance actually covered more than the card did. Singular was free, and Nasonex was $30. I mistakenly thought that the card could be used on top of insurance to cover extra costs for prescription medicines. I did ask the pharmacist if it would save me more money if I used the card from medicationdiscountcard.com, or my health insurance? They said my health insurance saved me more.
This Card is Great Though:
I think this card is great if you A) Don't have health insurance, or B) Don't have prescription coverage on your insurance. It certainly is a great idea to have for those that fall into those categories.
You receive a 10% to 75% discount on your medication with their free prescription drug card.
There is no application, no health restrictions, no fees, and the card will never expire.
