Mica was all excited about Jump Rope for Heart. He wants to do it because there is a party in the school gym. The funny thing is, is that the boy can't jump rope, yet. We've tried a few times at the Y. He got frustrated and looked like he was going to cry.
I told Mica that jumping rope is a lot like walking, you just need to build up the coordination to do it. Someone told me to use the time to try and learn how to jump rope. I like that idea. He can raise money to defeat the skill. I suppose he could try and learn how before the event. With ALL THE TIME WE HAVE. I'm being sarcastic of course. I'd like the boy to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels; more so than jump rope.
I guess I need to go buy a jump rope. I have one somewhere, but I have NO CLUE where it's at. It would be a perfect gift for Easter, but I don't think we can wait that long. The Easter Bunny could have brought a jump rope for Mica and a
Loop de Loop, otherwise known as a Hula Hoop for Isaak.
I think jump roping is all about the rythym and girls seem better at it than boys for some reason.
ReplyDeleteDon't they provide a bunch of jump ropes for Jump for Heart? I think my kids even came home with some from the event.
