One of my friends posted today that her daughter wants glasses. She actually cried when her pediatrician said she didn't need any.
Mica told me this weekend that he wanted glasses. I just forgot about it; until I read about my friend's daughter.
Why does Mica want glasses?
Because he wants to look like Clark Kent.
He also keeps running down the hallway to and from his room. Then pretends to open his shirt up. In fact lately he's been wearing a button down shirt over a t-shirt. All so he can open it up like Superman does.
He told me that Superman III is his favorite movie right now.
I do think that Mica would look awesome in glasses, though. After school Kathryn told Daddy about her "horrible" experience at the the eye doctors. (I had already told him that her eyes were fine). He asked her why her experience was so horrible; did she need big thick glasses; worse yet, did she need to wear CONTACYTS?!?! (my contacts freak her out). She burst into tears AGAIN....silly kiddos of ours; they just don't understand.
ReplyDeleteMica is a silly superhero! my youngest wanted glasses too, but it was in middle school. I think some friends had some & fancy wirerims, so he had to have them... he lot them after a few months & never told us... a naughty silly boy! my special WW is up HERE

Well, Clark Kent IS pretty awesome, so I can't really blame him.
ReplyDeleteMy 8 year old does actually need glasses and my 5 year old wants them just because his big brother has them. I keep telling him not to rush it because everyone one else has them, so he'll probably need them someday.
Perfect time for a pair of inexpensive glasses with clear lenses! It's so fun watching wee ones experiment with different personas. =)
