For Christmas Isaak wanted an alive Frosty the Snowman. I was going to try and Photoshop one to be in our living room, much like the "I caught Santa" ones you see. But there's no alive snowman to pull from. In the end I bought him a gigantic Frosty the snowman that was on sale for $14.
Isaak was a little bummed that he wasn't really alive for him.
This weekend he decided to dress Frosty up.
I said, "See Isaak you made him alive yourself!" Isaak said, "No I didn't Mom. He just has my clothes on."

Guess he's getting to old to be fooled! I remember when my oldest was about 2. She was screaming in the car and I just wanted her to shut up. I yelled "look! it's frosty!" then pointed to a gas pump. I don't know where it came from, but desperation makes you scream crazy things. What's funny is, every time she saw a gas pump after that, she would sing Frosty the Snowman! hahaha
ReplyDeleteMaybe this would be a good time for The Velveteen Rabbit?
ReplyDeleteNice try, though! :)
ReplyDeleteIf Frosty came to life, your kid would probably wet his pants with fear.

That's a smart little cookie you have on your hands :)
ReplyDeleteSigns that he's growing up indeed!! It is a good try though :)
ReplyDeleteI looked at the pictures before reading what you wrote and when I first saw frosty I didn't realize it was so big. I thought it was a little doll.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it couldn't come alive for him. Love the outfit though
Kid say the funniest things! Thanks for the history of the "I ♥ N Y" shirt. I was so glad I found it.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love dead pan kid logic!
ReplyDeleteNice try Mom but he doesn't look like he's buying it. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI think that's the old Frosty from a cartoon my kids always watched at Christmas years ago. All I remember bout it was there was an Elf named Herbie. He wanted to be a dentist.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said gigantic you weren't kidding. I didn't expect him to be so big. I love that your son dressed him!
ReplyDeleteHe is so very practical! He reminds me of Graham :)
ReplyDeletelol!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL their is a likeness too...but don't tell him I said that heheh!
ReplyDeleteI thought Frosty was little in that first photo, but he his huge. Love the second shot, and what a great deal you got on it.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't look that big in the first picture, so the second was a surprise!
ReplyDeleteAww, poor kid! It really stinks when you do all you can and it just doesn't match his imagination. I do admire you for trying at least!
ReplyDeleteAww, it is a cute snowman though. :)
ReplyDeleteCute! I'd be totally creeped out if he started moving on his own like Chucky, though. ^.^
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!
ReplyDeleteAww bless, I always wanted a live one too :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute snowman and very cute photo! I love the hat.

ReplyDeleteGood try! Just not quite good enough, huh? Kids are just too smart these days ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is sure a big Frosty. My Daughter has a lot of snowmen that she puts out after she takes her Christmas decorations down. This would be a cute one for her to display.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is a big frosty! :)
ReplyDeletebroxton was the same way....
ReplyDeletelol- he still wants to know why the snowman we built in our snow this winter had to melt!!!
Heheh! how cute :-)
