I took some vacation time from work. We're just doing things close to home. Sort of like a staycation. I have plenty of fun things planned. The boys won't have any camps for 3 weeks. The rest of the summer is pretty full of different camps for them. I took time off for child care mostly. There's a few house projects we need to work on as well.
Travis got a call a few weeks ago. It was a lab that is in the same building he worked at for 12 years. Now that his old boss is gone, they want him to come work for them. A week from Monday he's going to be working for them 4 days a week. I think it will be good because it's so close to home. We can carpool, he can ride his bike to and from work, and when the boys start school he can take and pick them up (they are ok with that). The other lab he's worked at during the summer just wasn't stable enough. The owner there said he could come in 2 to 3 days a week. He was only going in 2 days. He'd go in around 8:30, but come home around 4. It wasn't even full days. It was good for the summer, but not good long term.
A lot has been happening. I have a ton to blog about. Maybe I'll post here and there, but since I'm on "vacation" I may take a bit a blogging break.
Enjoy your time off! I am happy to hear your husband got a call for the old job. I hope it works out just perfect! :)

ReplyDeleteHave a great vacation! We are taking the girls to The Smokey Mountains next week, so I won't be blogging much, if at all then. It's been a really boring summer here, so we are really looking forward to heading out!
