WW: Graham Cave {Linky}

Graham Cave State Park is pretty fun! They had a free walking tour. We went on it.

It's a walk through ancient history. Artifacts uncovered in Graham Cave revealed that people were living in the cave more than 10,000 years ago.

A little natural water spill area:

The tour leads you to Graham Cave:

You can go under the cave, but not in it. It's fenced off to help preserve the area. They do have a trail, and a rock wall that you can climb to get on top. Of course the boys picked the hardest way to get up there.

What was really cool up above was this S shaped tree! At least that's what we call that shape in art for a composition. I know it's not literally an S. The tree is no longer alive, but they left it because of it's shape.

We also found this cool Sycamore tree. It's trunk had a heart carved out of it, and it's base was like a maze with all different holes in it.

  8. Wow! Nature hike. I haven't done that since I was little. I wish I would've had the time to do such things with my kids, but I worked around the clock being both mom & dad to my four little ones. These are great photos and such finds! That tree with a curly q is something for sure. Thanks for sharing.
