Hot Glue Gun Reivew

I've been wanting to use a hot glue gun to do so kind of project for the last 5 weeks. My students are making projects out of all white materials. Whenever they work on this project I feel like working on one of my own. I simply want to do something creative. 

I love that I got a Hot Glue Gun to review. I haven't made any big projects with it yet, but I want to. 


So far I've made hair things for myself. I love pearls because they are my alternative birthstone. Alexandrite is my official birthstone, but that stone is expensive. 



The glue gun worked great for this. 

It helps that they sent a PDF book to give you ideas with the hot glue gun. Some of the projects do look pretty fun!


I've been wanting to try putting crayons in a glue gun, but I read online that it's best to use a cold glue gun for that.  The wax melts too fast, and makes more of a mess with a hot glue gun.



 Features:
  • I like the clip on this one. You can prop it up, and glue won't go all over the place. 
  • 20 Watts. It's gets pretty hot. I also like that you can use one glue stick after another. Just keep putting them in, and they heat up right away. You don't have to stop working to get your job done. 
  • Fits standard glue sticks that work in glue guns.
  • Adheres to metal, wood, paper, fabric, magnets, lace, burlap and more.
Hot glue guns can melt Styrofoam to. I found that out with my students on the white paper project. To avoid overheating Styrofoam just unplug the gun, and apply the glue when it's cooling down. You can also apply the glue to the other surface, let it cool for a few seconds, and connect the object to the Styrofoam.

    Oh what a great idea to DIY your own hairclips! Now I feel like getting my own hotgun to play around and make stuff too haha

    My wife uses a hot glue gun to make things for her special education class. I use it sometimes to fix things around the house or do little repairs here and there.

    I gave my Hot glue gun and probably 100 glue sticks to my Granddaughter. Your pearl hair pins turned out very nice.

    Your hair clips turned out so cute! I just used mine yesterday to replace some plastic string hair on my Nightmare Before Christmas doll I bought at Walgreen's this year. She looks so much better with her new head of yarn hair!

    What are you wanting to do with the crayons?????
    I love the hair pins, I just don't do anything with my hair. Lol
