Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

I started doing what I call Sing, Sing a Song Saturday.  I'm going to post one song on Saturdays that the boys or I like. 

The song may be part of a movie, a kid's video or just a song we like. I'll try and include why we like it and/or the history of the song/singer.

The artist I'm covering this week is Birdy. Have you ever heard of her? She has a lot of likes on YouTube. You can buy her CD here. She grew up in a rather large, musically-inclined household in the New Forest, Birdy was born to be a musician. Her mother is a concert pianist and it wasn't long before Birdy took up piano at the age of 4 and began writing music from the age of 7.

    I've never heard of her, but she has a really nice voice. I can see why she's becoming a youtube sensation.

    I really like her. I'm glad you put her up, I hadn't heard of her until now. The first one was my favorite, but they're both really good.

    I haven't heard of her either. She does have a lovely voice. The songs are a bit sad though, but so fitting for her voice!
