- I've had Mica back on cow's milk after he had the tummy flew around Christmas. Knock on wood, he hasn't had hardly any problems. His doctor did tell me about toddler diarrhea. Mica could of had that. I've read about it, and I guess it's pretty common for toddlers to get. This wouldn't explain my tummy issues, but I've always had a sensitive tummy.

Busy Weekend

- We had a busy weekend! My sister Terra threw a surprise party Saturday for her husband Tyson (who is turning 30). I went early to help set up decorations. It was fun! Mica almost ruined the surprise when he asked really loud, "Where is Tyson at?" Tyson didn't hear him. We were there really late (10:30 before we got home). My boys generally go to bed around, Isaak 7:30 or 8 and Mica 8 or 8:30. Mica fell asleep in his car seat, and when it was time to get him out, I had to set him down to take his shoes off (it's been snowy here). He walked right into a wall that was right in front of him. I did my best not to laugh (I have a strange since of humor).
- The next day, Mica woke up at 7:30 like usual, but feel back asleep on our bed, and slept until 10 AM. This is unheard of for Mica.
- We had a brunch party for my niece and nephew Kailey and Ethan Sunday morning. I can't believe Kailey is in 8th grade, and Ethan is in 3rd. They are both so tall, and grew up fast. I remember when I was in collage, Kailey was our little baby. We all treated her like she was ours.
- In the photo's above they are playing some Wii boxing game. Mica's back is to the camera. He can't keep his pants up (no hips). I've tried everything (belts, adjustable waist pants), nothing works. Well...suspenders work, but he looks kind of dorky in them. Travis hates that Mica will someday ask for a Wii. He's not a lover of video games.
Cuddle Time
- I try and have cuddle time with my boys at night before they go to bed. I read stories, during this time. Isaak makes it pretty hard for Mica. He likes to pull his hair. Then he wants to grab at the book we're reading the whole time. He stays pretty happy, but constantly grabs at things. Mica is always like, "Isaak stop grabbing my hair!" He says it nice; I have to remind Mica that he's just a baby, and babies don't know any better. I think I may have to move to our bed for cuddle time instead of the couch. That way Isaak can be further away from Mica.
- Isaak really likes Mica. He stops whatever he's doing when Mica comes in the room just to look at him, and has a big smile on his face.

Baby and Me
- Isaak and I went to our Baby and Me Group last night. It's been awhile. Most of the moms are usually first time moms. Although last night I did see a mom that came at the tail end of when I went with Mica; she's on her second girl. I like going mainly, so I can weigh him. He is 17 pounds 2 ounces. He interacted with a girl his age (7 months). You can tell she's much bigger then Isaak. They sort of shared toys. I joked with Travis that, this girl is Isaak's girlfriend.
- In one picture I thought you could see his tooth, but I think it's just a glare on his tongue. His tooth is just too little yet to capture on the camera. One thing you can tell is that his eye color is now brown. For the longest time I thought they'd be hazel like mine.

Scary Thing
- I heard last night on the news that a girl (middle school age) died of meningitis. She had a headache that just kept getting worse, her parents took her to the emergency room 2 hours later, 8 hours after the initial headache, she was dead. In the emergency room she had seizures, and was not responding. I feel so bad for her family and her friends!
- I had a baby with it, who didn't even have a developed personality yet, and I felt awful. He was so little and couldn't tell me what hurt. Of course only one of us could be at the hospital at a time, unlike when Mica got his staph infection. Someone had to stay with Mica. I was with Isaak most of the time because I could nurse him, those antibodies helped him to get better. The pain cry is the worst! We couldn't feel a soft spot because there was so much pressure. I read that sometimes they have to drill holes into the head to relieve the pressure (Isaak didn't have that done). He had to have a mess of other things done though: A spinal tap, a couple IV's put in, gobs of antibiotics. He was so hot from his fever. I can't imagine losing him. We were not lucky to have to go through what we did, but so lucky to have him healthy today!

YoBaby

- Isaak has a favorite food. He loves YoBaby Yogurt. If it were up to him, he'd eat the whole thing, but I only let him eat 1/2 of it. He likes it in his cereal too. It's good for someone that has baby eczema problems. Giving him probiotics is one of the only things that would make his eczema clear up. Now that he can eat yogurt, I might be able to do away with the supplement.
One New Tooth
- Isaak has one new tooth. It came faster then I thought. I thought it would be a few weeks before he'd get one. Another will be popping through any day now. He's been pooping up the back from teething and gnawing on his finger's. Cutting teeth is rough for these little ones.
Nick Names
- When I was pregnant with Isaak, my dad was trying to come up with a nickname for him right away. He secretly must not have liked the name Isaak. I thought up "Ike", "Zac", "Zeek" or "Zeeky". He liked "Zeek" and "Zeeky". I heard "Zac" can be a nickname for "Izac", but I didn't want to spell it that way because we already had a Mica Zachary. So...Isaak is called "Zeek" and "Zeeky". I love those nicknames, but Travis isn't too fond of them. He likes, "Baby I's" or "Baby Eye's". He does have huge eye's, then of course his name starts with "I". He looks over for all his nicknames and his name.

- Mica has always been "Mica Moose" and "Mica Z" to me. My sister Terra calls him "Mica Mouse" because he had a high pitch cry in the hospital and later squealed in his regular babble. My dad calls him "Smartie", which Mica likes because there is a candy called that. He calls him that because he talks so grown up.
- Nicknames have always been such a big thing with my family.
