Choosing The Right Skincare Products

Getting cosmetics intended for anyone including African American skin tone used to be a challenge. The base I use is called "Fair" and it's still not light enough. You can find a really wide collection of make-up to choose from located in each and every department retail store anywhere in your city or town but for black skin, the choice used to be minimal. These days selected makeup firms have now seen that women with color possess requirements too and also have dollars to spend and so they have created goods accordingly.

There was a time when it was really hard to find anywhere that sold foundation for black skin. There were not many companies that created make up that was specifically catered towards women of color so there was very little, and sometimes no choice at all.

It is very good to be able to say that things have now changed and these days you do not have to go far to find a very good stock of makeup products that have been formulated for black skin. This includes best liquid foundation for african american skin 2018.

A lot of the major cosmetic companies have now come out and produced ranges of makeup to suit the different skin tones and skin hues that can be found in the skin color palette.

Understand the Tone of your Skin

To say that all Afro-American women have 'dark colored' skin is as ridiculous as saying that there is only one red color. All colors have shades and so do brown and beige. You have to begin by identifying your skin tone in order to choose the right kind of make-up for yourself. Broadly speaking, black skin can be categorized into three types - dark, medium, and light. Apart from this, there are also undertones to your skin, which could be cool, neutral, or warm.

Foundation

The best foundation is the kind that blends with the tone of your skin and makes it look even. What type of foundation you buy will depend entirely on what you are most comfortable using. You can choose from among liquid, stick, cream, or powder foundations.

Clean and moisturize your face before you apply the foundation. Apply the foundation evenly onto your face and neck with either a cosmetic sponge or your fingers, blending it into the skin with downward strokes.

Concealers

You won't need a concealer if you have a flawless skin. However, if you feel the need to hide blemishes, choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than the tone of your skin. You don't need to apply the concealer to your whole face, just your problem areas, after which, you spread it with the help of your fingers, or a make-up brush. After the concealer is applied, dust your face gently with loose powder, so that it gets a smooth appearance.

Eye Makeup

What color eye shadow you wear will depend on what time of the day you are wearing it. If you are dressing for work, you will find neutral shades to be the best choice. Along with the time of day, you will also need to match your eye shadow to your skin tone.

If you've got medium-brown skin tone, gray, mauve, and brown, will look great. For black women with slightly darker skins, colors like violet, navy blue, and chocolate would be perfect. For day time, apply a very light coat of eye shadow, whereas for nights, it should be a darker and a heavier coat.

Blush

This is one area where black women can make some bad choices regarding the color. Peach, pinks, red, and orange look a lot better on a lighter skin tone, not a dark one. For your skin, browns and coppers would be the best choice.

Swissvita Eye Cream For Wrinkles Review

I've always had bags under my eyes, since I was a kid. I've always been a huge allergy sufferer. This year in particular has been bad for me. It's been really humid, and stuffy. I had to start taking an inhaler daily, which I wasn't taking one before. Getting sick with the stomach flu didn't help. I find when I get sick, my allergies are worse. I decided to try out Swissvita Eye Cream For Wrinkles.

Safe for all Skin Types:

This eye lift eye cream/serum has the phytonutrient AC-11®, which is derived from a natural herb from the Amazon rainforest.

This safe, all-natural and water-soluble ingredient has been discovered to aid the body's natural skin tissue repair and slow down the process of skin aging.

I've been using it for quite some time. I actually went over the review time. It's been twice a day for a few weeks. I have sensitive skin, and it wasn't itching, nor did I break out. I could certainly tell it is there though.

Yep I Have Wrinkles By My Eyes:

Upon for notice there isn't the wrinkles. That's before I'm smiling.

I don't know if it did anything, or not. Like I said it's a bad year for allergies!

Say Goodbye to Dark Circles:

I still have dark circles, but they aren't horrible right now. The wrinkles are more noticeable. Dark circles are common with allergy sufferers. If I lack sleep it can be worse. Age and genetics are also common causes to darkness under the eyes.

Erase the Eye Wrinkles:
I'm still waiting for that to happen. This product improves skin firmness and elasticity with our high performance eye cream / serum. It also contains multiple active ingredients that nourish and heal discolored skin, fine lines and wrinkles. It's a natural skin tightener. That I can feel.

Chemical Free:
It's paraben-free. They don't have any other dangerous chemicals in this.

Cool Packaging:

I really do love the packaging of this. It's in an aluminum package, which is much better than plastic. Just open the cap, squeeze a small amount on your finger and apply on desired areas.

Application:

Use 3D eye cream every morning and night after toner. Take a pea-size and apply onto skin around eyes, tap with light pressure or massage gently with finger tip. It is clear. I got asked if I was crying when I used it.

Cost:

$49.99 and on sale for $29.99.

Do you have wrinkles of any kind yet?

NeoCell Biotin Bursts Review

I recently got NeoCell Biotin Bursts in Brazilian Acai Berry flavor to review.

Having beautiful and radiant skin has never been so delicious and easy.

They deliver high-potency beauty nutrients in a gourmet soft chew.

It comes in a box that has really pretty packaging.

Inside the box is a foil type bag that zips up for extra freashness.

I do with they'd make the bag and box smaller, to not waist packaging space.

There are 30 soft chews in a bag. It is suggested to take 1 chew daily.

The Brazilian Acai Berry flavor tastes wonderful!

NeoCell Beauty Infusion - Tangerine Twist Giveaway

Recently I got NeoCell Beauty Infusion Tangerine Twist to review.

I've tried one of NeoCell's products before. Their Beauty Bursts Soft Chews did not disappoint me, and their Beauty Infusion is great to!

What is Beauty Infusion?

It's an all natural solution for youthful, radiant beauty that starts from the inside. I firmly believe that you have to take care of the inside for your outside to look good.

I have to admit that I've been cheating by eating too much Halloween candy. No more!

Diminished collagen levels in the body can lead to loss of elasticity in the skin, thinning hair, and brittle nails.

It's a powder that is mixed with water to make a refreshing drink mix. The powder is filled with essential nutrients that work together to strengthen hair, skin and nails, hydrate the skin, and provide antioxidant power against environmental damage.

Recapture that vibrant glow from the inside out with a beauty supplement your skin and taste buds will crave.

I think it tastes a lot like Emergen-C if you've ever had one of those packets.

I love the Tangerine Twist flavor. If you don't like the Tangerine flavor they also sell:
  • Appletini
  • Cranberry Splash

 Just one scoop delivers:
  • 6,000 MG of NeoCell collagen™ Type 1 & 3 for firm, smooth skin & strong hair & nails*
  • 50 MG of Hyaluronic Acid for skin hydration & renewal*
  • 3,000 MCG of Biotin for support of strong hair & nail growth*
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid & Vitamin C for protection from free radical damage & enhancement of collagen formation*
*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

I love that there is:
  • No Soy
  • No Gluten
  • GMP Certified

My only concerns:

Was when I saw an allergy warning. It May contain trace amounts of naturally occurring sulfate residues.

Many of my long time readers know that I have allergies to sulphates, and try to stay away from them. I drank my first drink with caution. Most of the drink is water, so it wasn't a big concern for me. I did just fine with it.

I wish they'd fill the container, or put it in a smaller container. There's a lot of empty space.

Serving size:

There are 30 servings per container.

It tastes really good. Sometimes it's just nice to drink something besides water.

It's giveaway time:

One of my US readers is going to get their chance to win what I reviewed, NeoCell Beauty Infusion - Tangerine Twist.

NeoCell Beauty Bursts Review

I once had a sample at Whole Foods for NeoCell Beauty Bursts. It was so good! NeoCell recently sent me a package to review.

NeoCell Beauty Bursts promotes beautiful and radiant skin. It's not like a daily vitamin. This stuff is delicious! I got the Fresh Mint Chocolate flavor. They do come in a few different flavors: Super Fruit Punch and Brazilian Acai Berry. They are chewy and soft.

They are gourmet collagen chews that deliver a host of beauty-enhancing nutrients, including NeoCell collagen types 1 & 3, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. It does not contain soy, wheat, lactose, palm oil, starch, yeast, or artificial flavors. It does contain rice syrup and dried cane syrup.

Take an inside-out approach to beauty with NeoCell collagen and help skin achieve that healthy glow, hair grow thicker and shinier and nails that are longer, stronger and less brittle. My hair and skin can be brittle, so that's why I was interested in NeoCell Beauty Bursts.

Another perk that I love about them is that they were made right here in the US.

Where to get them:

There are a lot of place to get them. On their website neocell.com you can type in your zip code, and it tells you the store(s) closest to you.

A few places include: Whole Foods and GNC. There's lists of other stores that sell them. Many vitamin, or natural stores have them.

Price:
  • $19.00 for 30 chews.
  • $26.00 for 60 chews.
I've seen them cheaper when they are on sale at the stores. You can have 2 to 4 chews a day.

What flavor do you think you'd enjoy the most?
