#pencilcase #pouch Review

Mica's super into anything space, or galaxy. This summer we're going to start the process of redoing his room. His room right now has streets painted all over it. There's nothing wrong with streets. It's just that Mica's past playing with cars and trucks. I think we'll paint his room with a blue grey, and add galaxy paintings on canvas. He has a locker in his room, and we may repaint that to be dark blue.

He watches YouTube videos on space, wants to go to a high school that has classes on Astronomy, and reads a lot of books on the subject.

I recently got a Fresh Twister Jumbo Pouch to review from zipit: https://just-zipit.com/collections/pencil-cases/products/fresh-twister-jumbo-pouch?variant=18497684635705

zipit has a lot of cute cases on their site!

zipit:

It has the name zipit for a reason. It zips fully shut, and unzips all the way. I did find it got stuck in one spot (zipper wise).

Patterns in Fresh Twister Jumbo Pouch:

Galaxy
Kaleidoscope
Race Flag

Size:

It's pretty big. Much bigger than most pencil cases. 9” x .78” x 5.9”

What You Can Carry in it:

Anything small! I was trying to think of things a teen would want to carry in it.

Scissors
Pencils/Pens/Markers
Art Supplies
Rubber Bands
Paper Clips/Alligator Clips
Ear Buds
Phone Charger
Phone
Tissues
Chapstick/Makeup for Girls
House/Car Keys
First Aid
And Much More!

Cost:

$9.99 Free Shipping if you spend over $35. I think the cost is very reasonable; considering the size and the cost I've spent on other pencil cases in the past. I love that it has a lifetime warranty!

Don't hesitate to get one. I'm thinking the Easter Bunny will leave 2 of these, for the boys. Why wait, for back to school time? They can use them now.

Do you have a pencil case you carry around? We have a drawer at home, I have a canister at work, but I carry a case on my cart to go to the classrooms.

Disclaimer: I got this product for free, in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Court Trial

I've only seen trials on TV. Showing up, and being part of one was new to me.

It's lots of sitting, listening, not talking, and not sharing.

I did find it funny when I went to the bathroom, and a lady was in there talking to herself. She came out of the stall, apologized for talking to herself. I said, "Hey we all talk to ourselves from time to time. No worries." She replied, "I'm just so worried about my urine. I'm in trial over a drug charge. They said I diluted my urine, but I didn't." I replied back with, "Oh well maybe you just drank a lot of water." She said, "No." I said, "I'm not sure." Thinking, You look a bit strung out to me. You sure you didn't dilute your pee?!

Now that my civil trial is over I can share.

They told us not to look anything up, while the trial was going on. Now that it's over, I can't even find anything about my trial online at all. Poof nothing!

First off I'm not about to spill the beans, and names too. I'm just spilling the beans only.

A man was shot (wrong place at the wrong time) in 1979. He remained a paraplegic. His wife was/is his primary caregiver. She was told by the VA to take a 30 day vacation. She sent her husband to stay at a healthcare center.

The VA checked him out, he was in good health. He had a history of urinary tract infections, but hadn't had one for 3 years that we knew of record wise. He needed a condom catheters, which is a catheter that goes on like a condom, and has a bag at the end to collect the urine. It's the least invasive catheters.

Condom catheters only have to be changed every 4 to 5 days. The healthcare center changed it every 2. He got a scratch on his penis, that changed into a bigger wound. They claimed he wanted a foley catheter. He said he never asked for that.

The order was called in to the VA doc to get him a foley catheter. He got a massive UTI, which turned sepsis. He had to go to a hospital, and it cost him $35,000.

He was suing the healthcare center for the medical bills, pain and suffering. He claimed it was the healthcare center that was at fault, for giving him the scratch, turned into a wound. He never wanted the foley catheter. It all lead to the UTI.

The healthcare center said his memory wasn't right. They were just following what he wanted, and what the doctor ordered.

In the deliberation room:

The healthcare center and VA had horrible records! The healthcare center said one day he had the condom catheter, the next day the folly and the next day he was back to the condom catheter. Say what?! The VA doctor didn't even have him on antibiotics. Say what!? With the scratch/wound in the penis + being at risk for UTIs I would have had him on those right away! He could have gotten a staph infection on that wound. Yes he was out of it memory wise, he was sick with a UTI that went sepsis!

There were errors with his care all around. BUT the nurses at the healthcare center were acting on orders from the doctor at the VA. He went to a different hospital, not under the VA because that's where the ambulance decided to take him.

He was suing the healthcare center, for the catheter they put in causing his infection. We as jurors couldn't find them guilty. They were only guilty for not seeing him enough, and taking crappy records.

A needy guy lost. It sucked. BUT it was what it was. Moral of the story, take good records!

Protect Your Laptop With a SHIELDON Bag

I just got my first call from Isaak's school. I wasn't thinking I'd get a call this early in the year. Apparently on Monday he tripped, fell, and along with him falling so did the school's laptop. It's broken. They won't charge us, but will charge us if it happens again. He did show the teacher right away, and apologized. Accidents do happen, but I was hoping nothing like that would happen this early. To be honest I didn't even know they got laptops. Had I known I would have made sure he got a laptop case/or bag!

He gets a sleeve, and will carry it in his padded backpack.

Travis gets this SHIELDON Bag, for our Macbook that he carries to and from a class he's in.

We're doing our best to protect our laptops.

Size:

I have to be honest it's hard to find a case/bag big enough for a bigger laptop. I'm glad this one fits!

It's 16.5 x 12.6 x 5.9 Inches.

It can be strapped in:

Lots of Pockets!

I do like the many pockets it has. I try not to fill mine up too much, as I have had straps break at the clips where the straps clip on before.

If you carry just a few things it doesn't get too weighted. If you have a lot to carry, just hold it by the handles.

There's a pen/pencil section, a spot for a book, a spot for a notebook, and even a spot for printer paper. It holds paper bigger than the standard 8 1/2 x 11 inches. You could put in a small umbrella, and a water bottle. Best of all it has pockets for chargers!

Strap:

There are handles if you have it loaded well. Again I've had on other bags the metal where the strap is attached break. If all you have is your laptop, a notepad and some pens you're good to go. It can be carried around Indian Jones style.

Colors:

This bag only comes in black. I do wish it came in a few other colors. I'd pick brown if given a choice. I got brown wood for my keyboard cover.

Cost:

$59.99 on Prime.

Durable:
  • It's waterproof
  • It's scratch proof
  • It feels durable

I'm so glad I got a laptop bag that I've been needing! Do you own a laptop?

Travel Make-Up Case Review

I love having suitcase and cosmetic bag options when I travel, or go camping!

This one is really compact! There's two velcro bars that come with it, so it can be split up however it works best with the user. I fit a lot in the main part of the bag.

The pocket up at the top has a velcro as well. It splits apart in two different ways, to reveal 3 different compartments.

One: A Big Mesh Pocket

I just put a few make-up brushes in there. I do kind of wish I had velcro or a zipper to help hold those things in place. They slipped out every time I'd try to get to another pocket behind it.

Two: Another Big Mesh Pocket

I put a wooden comb in there. I don't really use a comb, but it's just for this review. I mainly have a comb for combing out hair out of a bigger brush I do use. I think Isaak uses it on his hair as well. This pocket is tighter than the first one featured, so nothing would slip out.

Three: Small Mini Pockets

Lipsticks, lip glosses, chapstick, fingernail polish, or even small pill bottles could go in these. I have lipsticks in them right now.

Uses:

I don't know exactly what I'll use it for to be honest.
  • More than likely it will get used for make-up. I don't use a lot of makeup. Certainly some for sure.
  • I could use it for medicine. My nasal wash salt, neti pot, and meds eat up space when I travel. I'd love to have a bag just for that stuff.
  • I go through times where I wear a lot of hair things.
  • A man case. Mica is getting older. They may want a case to carry a razor, soap, shaving cream, and more.
What would you use it for?

You can get this travel make-up case on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDW35XM for $20.59

Disclaimer: I got this product for a discount in exchange for an honest review. The company didn't tell me what to say. All the words in this post are my opinion.

IPhone 6 Case Review

This IPhone 6 Case is made with high quality luxury brushed metal aluminum and chrome hard plastic material and it is designed to shelter your IPhone from: dust, scratches, bumps and other daily damage that can be caused to your phone.

I have to be honest, I don't feel like it protects my phone enough. I'm taking my $100 GC to Best Buy and buying another IPhone cover.

I do like that it's thin, and will fit in sport armband carriers without taking the case off. I just don't feel like it's durable. If I'm worried about dropping my phone, then I need a better case.

The case is pretty! It has a nice sleek design.

It is a Super Slim iPhone Case and Comfortable To Use. I didn't have any problem getting the case on my phone. It fits comfortably in my pocket!
