WW: Crazy Clothes for School {Linky}

Last week the boys had a Dr. Seuss day at school. They didn't have to dress up like a character in one of his books. They were supposed to dress silly.

We had no problem dressing them silly like. In fact we messed with their hair to. I didn't ask them to pose funny like. They did that on their own.

Guess who owns this book? We do. He must really like the story of Sam, Sam-I-am.

Why Ask, "Why?"

Isaak's officially in the "Why?" stage. Sometimes it's more noticeable than other times. When we read books he asks, "Why?" every time I turn the page.

Why ask "Why?" I told Mica that it's important for Isaak to ask, "Why?" because it means that he's learning. That's a good thing! I also explained that if he ever had a question in school to ask the teacher. Questions are great! They answer those gaps that were not quite filled.

It's only a problem when I read books that really don't answer, "Why?" I read this book by Dr. Seuss:

I didn't really know why a Wocket was in his pocket? Every page Isaak asked, "Why?" I had a hard time answering. I just said, "Well that monster likes to hang out in his pocket. Wocket rhymes with pocket. That's how they got that monster's name. It's very ironic that I'll be talking about Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss tomorrow in my Illustration class. He's an important part of Illustration history!

Next time I'll pick a more logical book to read.

While we were reading I leaned over to Mica and whispered, "Mica this will take a LONG time to read! Isaak's in the 'Why?' stage. Every page I turn he'll ask that question." Sure enough Isaak did. Mica looked over at me and laughed.

• A few week’s ago I wrote a post about reviewing something from CSN Stores.

• I got this clock for a very reasonable price $18.18
• I have to admit that it did have a little smudge on it and I couldn't get it to hold its time. It impressed me that they sent a new clock right away!
• Both of my son's love this clock!
• I like that it has big numbers to teach them how to tell time.

Trend Lab Dr Seuss Cat in the Hat Window Valance

• I got this valance for a very reasonable price $18.18 as well.
• I love how this window treatment looks with the many plastic balls that I hung up!
• I've washed it twice. Both times I only ironed the white part with Cat in the Hat on it. The other fabric didn't need to be ironed. I wanted to see if colors were going to fade when I washed it, and none of them did. This pleased me because I love color!
