I've been pushing a few things on my husband: Drink more water, and take Dr Benjamin Rush Prostate Health Supplements. An enlarged prostate can be something that men go through as they get older.
Packaging:
The bottle shipped out really fast! The lid was closed up with a thin layer of plastic, and it had a paper top below the lid. Certainly sealed for protection!
Where to Get it:
You can get it on Amazon for $29.90. It's on Prime, so if you're a Prime member there's no shipping.
It comes with 90 pills in a bottle. I do wish that only 1 pill was needed per day. They have you take 3 pills daily. That seems like a lot.

Travis wants to grow herbs in pots next year. I do think it's wise to grow many herbs in pots, as they tend to spread all over when they are planted on the ground.
What We Plan on Growing:
Basil - I actually cut fresh Basil, mix it with Olive Oil, put it in ice cube trays to freeze. Then when I need it for soups or pasta dishes I have it all throughout the fall and winter.
Chocolate Mint - It works great in smoothies with frozen bananas, spinach leaves, a scoop of vanilla protein powder and plain almond milk. It tastes like Soft Served Mint Ice Cream!
Spearmint - It works great in smoothies as well. Just make it the way I listed above. It has a mint flavor, minus the added chocolate. I also add it to tea.
Parsley - I add to most salads.
Lemon Balm - I add to tea, salads, lemonade, and homemade beauty products like soaps and lotions.
*We already grow Oregano in a side spot. I just dry that out, grind it and use it throughout the year for many dishes.
Now I Have Many Pots to Grow Herbs! I want to use some pots for real or silk grasses too.
We may have to figure out some way to drill holes in the bottoms of them. Travis mentioned that he would just need to get a masonry bit for his drill.
I simply love the rustic pattern on these pots though! The set came with 4 in this model. If you have a business do check out Commercial Silk Int'l because they sell things in bulk. It's kind of a bummer in stores when you want pots that match, but they don't have the amount you need.
They will go under our covered porch. We really don't have natural elements hit that area much at all.
More Pot Love:
I also got the pots below. They came in a set of 4 as well.
These pots go with the others really nicely. I told Travis we could use them as planters as well, or he could use them as bases for his sculpture. That's pretty unconventional, but certainly will work. If they become bases they will be flipped over.
This Owl is a Hoot!
I'm working on a painting of an owl that can't sleep because of the city noises and light. When I spotted this owl I just knew I had to have it. It too looks rustic like the pots do.
It's not super heavy because it's hallow. I haven't decided if it too will hang out under our covered porch, or inside with us. I want more things that can be outside.
What would you pick out at a silk plant store like Commercial Silk Int'l? My first choices were these pots and owl, but I also like silk grasses as well!

Recently I've been participating in Nature Savvy'sfacebook talks and twitter parties. They happen to land on my lunch break because I'm in Central Time Zone, and they are Pacific. I don't mind eating, and following along. I learn something every single time! They had a speaker that talked all about oils to cook with. I learned a lot. In fact I went to the store, and bought some of the oils they talked about.
Recently Nature Savvy had a twitter party with Bigelow Tea! I won a set! They've been making tea since 1945. It's so good.
Give the Gift of Tea
Midterms were last week. I gave a few bags of tea from each box to the Education Director to put in a basket. She passed the basket around for students to take some tea. They loved it! College students need tender care at time all the time.
What the Set Came With
Looking to Stay Well Every Day - Lemon and Echinacea Herbal Tea. I've been having this because I don't want to get sick on top of my other health problems with nasal polyps, allergies and asthma. I kind of can't wait to have surgery at this point.
Refresh - Turmeric Chili Matcha Green Tea. This one was popular among the students. It's great to drink this right at the low point in the day. For me that's about 3:30.
Sleep - Chamomile and Lavender Herbal Tea. I don't know that the Education Director passed this one out to the students. We didn't need extra sleepers in class. This is a great one before bed. I've had trouble sleeping for months on end.
Calm Stomach - Ginger and Peach Herbal Tea. I haven't had stomach issues in a really long time. It used to be that I did. I contribute it to the fact that we eat steamed greens most mornings. I do know that ginger does reduce inflammation, so I drink it for that.
Balance - Cinnamon and Blackberry Herbal Tea. This one is my favorite. I like the cinnamon taste. I don't know that I'm totally in balance after I drink it, but I find that tea in general puts me at ease.
Radiate Beauty - Blueberry and Aloe Herbal Tea. I'm certainly the prettiest woman in the room when I drink this. ;) It's my second favorite. I must love berries.
Variety
I love all the variety that each box had! On their website they have all kinds of recipes you can use the tea in.
What would be the tea that you would go for right now? If you're not a tea drinker, what tea would fit what you need right now: Sleep would be the one for me right now.
Disclaimer: I received Bigelow Teas. I was not asked to review this product. I wrote this post, and was not influenced at all with an opinion. I only review things that I find interesting, or that would benefit my readers or family.
Recently I decided to clean out my spice and herb rack. I had a lot of Whole Cloves, a ton of Dried Ginger Pieces, Sesame Seeds, Oregano and Lemon Grass Pieces. My husband makes fun of me for getting too much of this, and that. The bag of Sesame Seeds were from him.
I got out my new Grizzly Grinder. It's a large 4 piece herb and spice grinder. They say it's large, but it really doesn't take up a lot of room in the cupboard. It has 4 pieces that fit together.
All the pieces screw on together to store nicely. It's 2.5 inches wide, which makes it a great size for traveling. It can easily fit in a pocket or purse.
About the Grizzly Grinder:
50 powerful diamond shaped teeth and 25 filtering holes for flawless grinding.
4- piece grinder with stainless steel mesh screen that does an amazing job at filtering pollen.
Free pollen scrapper tool included for easy pollen collection.
Easy to clean with a drop of soap and warm water. Hand wash and air dry is recommended.
Made from premium quality zinc alloy material.
It's on great sale. Usually it's $49.95, but right now it's $21.95. That's a great deal since the competitor products are $50 and up.
Since fall is right around the corner I made Pumpkin Pie Spice and Allspice with the plethora of Cloves and Ginger. I was out Pumpkin Pie Spice and Allspice. During this time of year I use a lot of them. The spices ground down really well using the Grizzly Grinder.
I'll leave the Sesame Seeds as is. I'll make Protein Bites with them.
I ground down some Oregano. We grow our own Oregano, so we always have a lot of that! You can see how well the Grizzly Grinder ground up the Oregano. Here's
before and after pictures. Keep in mind that I had already ground up the
Oregano with a food processor. The food processor was a great start,
but didn't do the job that the Grizzly Grinder did!
Before and After:
I ground the Lemon Grass down to. I'm new to the Lemon Grass world. I really haven't used it. Any ideas as to what to use it for? I'm open to suggestions. So far I ground up about a Tablespoon and a 1/2 to put in Popsicles. Summer isn't over with yet.
Popsicles:
2 Nectarines
1 - 8 once glass of Dandelion Root Tea
1 and 1/2 Tablespoon of ground Lemon Grass
1 Tablespoon of Honey
Add all the ingredients to the blender, and pour them into Popsicle molds.
The Grizzly Grinder did get the Lemon Grass ground down finer. That stuff is a tough grass, so it's harder to grind down super fine.
Before and After:
So far I'm really impressed with the Grizzly Grinder! I'm Considering this the last grinder I will ever buy! Do you have a Herb and Spice Grinder?

In the summer time we eat a lot of green onions. I chop them up, and put them in eggs. They are really good in eggs.
I was happy to review Magnifeko Herb Scissors. It's a scissors with different blades. They make cutting herbs easier. You can get them on Amazon for $30.00 - on sale for $12.50.
About:
They are 5 times as fast as other kitchen sheers.
They come with 5 blades to tear and shred herbs.
There handle has a soft comfortable grip. The handle is made of silicone. If you are cutting up a lot of herbs, there is no discomfort holding these scissors.
These scissors are durable. They are made with a stainless steel. They won't rust, bend, or corrode.
They have ultra sharp that blades hold their edge well.
They come in green and red.
I did like that they cut herbs up in a snap. I didn't like that the green onions I was cutting would get stuck in the blades. I got a knife out to pop the onion pieces through, but that was one more thing to clean. I see myself using these more when I'm cutting up a ton of green onions, but not for day to day use.
Incredibly Versatile:
Great in the kitchen to cut up herbs.
Great in the garden.
Shred up paper for crafts.
Have them around to shred up documents that need to be shredded. I find that credit cards get stuck in the machine, so you can use these scissors to get the job done.
Simple Clean Up: There's enough space between the blades that makes cleaning the scissors easy. They are dishwasher safe, but I cleaned them in the sink with hot soapy water.
Safe: They scissors come with a blade protector. I like that a lot. My kids reach in the drawer where is scissors will be kept.
