Laser Light Green and Blue With Remote Review

My kids are so excited to have lights that are going to beam onto our house this year for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I tired stringing lights in the past. Even on the porch railing it annoyed me big time. One light would go out, and a series of lights would go out. I don't even know how people string them below their roof. It just seems like a pain!

There's something new you can try! Starry Laser Lights Projection puts out Green and Blue lights with a fancy remote! This system works for me!

When I asked my kids if they wanted to help me put out lights they jumped at the opportunity. They were so excited.

There's a manual, but I have to be honest we didn't use it very much.

Everything worked that slick. The only thing we had to refer the manual to was when we have to take the screw off the post, and onto the lighting device.

The remote came with batteries, which was nice! They are not a main brand of batteries, so I don't know how long they'll hold up. The only thing this kit didn't come with was an extention cord. No kit comes with that.

The boys figured out the remote right away! We're talking before it even got dark outside.

We wanted to A) Try it out. and B) Have it a little too close to the house so that the trick or treaters can walk through the lights tonight.

Starring into the light:

Colors:

You can have it just blue, just green, or blue and green. You can make it so that the lights blink, or stand still. It can all be controled with the remote. The remote even works from inside the house.

Timmer:

It has a timmer as well. If you know you're going to be out of town, or gone for an evening you can set it to go on at a certain time. Set a timing mode using the remote control and the light will turn on the same time every day or night and turn off again either 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours later.

Events:

The laser lights can cover up to 3900 square feet from a distance of 25 feet and can be set to flashing / twinkle, or simply stationary. It's perfect for Christmas and holiday entertainment, parties, landscape decoration, and anything else you can think of like for Trick or Treaters.

If we back it up a bit our whole house will be lit up.

Energy Saving:

These lights use 99% less energy than regular string lights. I love that you can change how it looks too.

You'll save money in the long run too! This set only costs: $75.99. If it seems like a lot think about the time you save by not having to string lights. The energy alone is a huge savings. You won't have to keep buying new lights because one bulb goes out.

The set is weather proof too. If it snows, no worries.

Do you light up your house with Christmas lights? If the laser lights aren't for you, but you still want an easy yet effective Christmas light solution, you could opt for a custom neon light.

Disclaimer: I received this Laser Light set for a discount for the purpose of this review.

Laser Maze Jr. Review

My kids love reviewing games. Laser Maze Jr. is a 1 person game by Think Fun. This is a game that will build science and logic skills. I love as a mom that this game makes kids think!

We have other games at Think Fun: Gravity Maze, Rush Hour, and Robot Turtles. They are all thinking games.

About Laser Maze Jr.
(Ages 6 to adult, MSRP: $29.99)

Your Mission:

Get the laser beam to the rockets so they can safely return to earth! You’ll need to use science and logic to reflect the laser beam to the rockets. Carefully place the satellite mirrors to guide your path, but watch out for space rocks that might get in your way. It’s one tricky job for any scientist, but with a little brain power you’ll be sure to ignite the rockets and your mind. One mission completed and 39 more to go!

Each card shows you where to put your rocket(s) on a card:

Easy = The Green Card
Medium = The Yellow Card
Hard = The Blue Card
Super Hard = The Red Card

All together there are 40 cards.

There is a symbol or multiple symbols on the card that show you what you need to include on the game board to figure out how you can get the rocket(s) to light up. Just don't stare at the laser.

11 Game Tokens (1 Laser, 2 Beam-Splitters, 1 Cell Blocker, 1 Mirror, 5 Target/Mirror and 1 Checkpoint)

Mica is going to show you how to play.

Both of our kids really enjoyed playing this. They figured it out faster than I could. I had trouble getting the card to slide in. Check out the video to see how it goes in. Mica runs you though how to play.

Do you like playing games?

Fun and Function Laser Pegs Review

Our boys got Laser Pegs from Santa AKA Fun and Function.

They were really excited to get something that can be built and has the ability of being able to light up.

We got two sets to build: DuneBuggy and Tractor. Both have 9 different models you can build in each box.

Both construction sets include:
  • Tractor set includes: 29 Laser Pegs
  • Dune Buggy set includes: 31 Laser Pegs
  • A Triangle Power Base
  • Fractoids
  • Instruction Manual
Both sets we got are $24.99 and for ages 5 and up.

Mica built the model called Do-Si-Do:

Mica needed very little help. It was the first time he built it, so a few pieces he needed help snapping into place.

Daddy helped Isaak build the Scooter:

Isaak is only 4 1/2, and these toys are for ages 5 and up. Isaak wouldn't be able to build any of the sets himself. Since Daddy was helping it is possible for a 4 year old to put together the sets.

Both boys love that their constructions light up! We lit it up last night at their New Years Eve dance party.

I love store Fun and Function

They had a lot of products on their site for kids with special needs. They have up on their website that their company is, "Where Kids of All Abilities Learn Through Play!"  Since I have a nephew with special needs, I know I'll be going back to look at more of their things.

Here's just some categories out of many that they have on their site:
I know my kids will continue to play with Laser Pegs for a long time!

Like Fun and Function on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and follow them on their blog.
