Premium Teeth Whitening Activated Charcoal Powder

I've been using different charcoal toothpastes on my teeth for the last 5 years. My teeth stay clean and I haven't gotten any cavities.

My toothpaste is almost gone, so I thought I try Premium Teeth Whitening Activated Charcoal Powder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JTT4N1

Avantage:

Charcoal has been used to clean things for years. It's in many stomach medicines. That's the one ingredient I think that does its job. While it seems new to use on teeth, it's not new to use charcoal pills.

I'm a coffee drinker at times, and a tea drinker other times. I kind of switch back and forth with my preference on what to drink. Ever since I started using charcoal on my teeth the dentist hasn't complained about stains like they did before.

Disadvantage:

It does get black speckles on the sink. The speckles happen with regular toothpaste too, but it's more noticeable when it's black.

Cost:

$50, but on sale for $10! A $40 savings, yet please!

Whiting Strips:

The set comes with some charcoal whiting strips. I just think charcoal powder cleans my teeth well enough, that I don't need the strips. My husband is a Dental Tech. He's mentioned before that A) There is a wide range of how white teeth are, and that's ok. and B) Strips could strip enamel off of the teeth. I don't know about you, but I want my enamel to stay there. I'll just be a good girl, and brush often.

What about you:

Have you used charcoal to clean your teeth?

#Natrogix Green Superfood Powder Review

We have a smoothie almost daily. Usually I add spinach leaves, dried kale that's been ground down, matcha, or Natrogix Green Superfood Powderhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KO4RM1Q

I do feel like they could have filled it a little more full.

You can also add Natrogix Green Superfood Powder to water. I just whisk it as I drink it. It's actually really good! It tastes like orange and not green.

Cost:

$19.99, but on sale on Amazon for $13.99.

That's for 30 servings.

Do you like having smoothies?

Organically Grown Vanilla Bean Powder Review

I simply love the taste of vanilla! I always add more extract than recipes call for. Recently I got  Organically Grown Vanilla Bean Powder to review.

It comes in a 4.23 ounce bag:

I've used a lot already, but here's a look inside the bag:

What is Ground Vanilla Bean Used For?

  • Ground Vanilla Bean is most used for culinary purposes, it gives desserts and baking goods rich and creamy flavor. I plan on using it in fall breads. I often make pumpkin and banana bread to stock in the deep freezer during the fall. It can be used as a substitute for vanilla extract in many recipes.
  • Vanilla is perfect to enrich the taste of coffee by adding a teaspoon to the ground coffee before brewing.
  • It's used a lot in DIY gifts and Christmas presents.
  • It can be used in home-made bug repellents against mosquitoes.
  • Often used in cosmetics due to its pleasant scent and antioxidant contents that help fight off free radicals. Vanilla possesses anti-inflammatory properties that help to soothe inflamed areas of the skin.
  • Smelling it in is wonderful. I have allergies, and can barely smell. I could smell it every time I've used it.

So far I've only used it in green smoothies. I know many people are turned off by the green. I promise it didn't taste like spinach. It tasted like mango, banana, and vanilla.

Smoothies for a family of 4:

  • 1 cup of spinach leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of green superfood powder
  • A scoop of Vanilla Bean Powder
  • 1 cup of frozen mango pieces
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup of ice
  • Mango juice (amount depends on how thick you like it)

Benefits of Sunny Day Organics' Ground Vanilla Bean:

  • Vanilla Bean is high in potassium. Potassium is important for cell and body fluids that help control blood pressure and hear rate.
  • Vanilla Bean is high in iron. Iron is important for red blood cell production.

  • Vanilla Bean is high in manganese and copper. Manganese and copper are co-factors for the antioxidant enzyme.
  • According to USDA, vanilla bean is in the top 10 antioxidant foods.
  • Antibacterial properties that help reduce skin infections and encourage wound healing. It can reduce bacteria that cause acne. With Mica and Isaak's skin issues I'm totally excited about this product!
  • It has relaxing properties.

Organic Wise Organic Turmeric Root Powder Review

I really love powder that can be added to your food, or drinks. I got Turmeric Root Powder to review. I never realized how versatile this root is.

We've used our Turmeric in:
  • Smoothies
  • Eggs
  • Indian Dishes

Turmeric root powder contains a minimum of 4.8 % curcumin, the powerful active ingredient in Turmeric. Most turmeric powder on the market has 2-3% curcumin content. It's nice to know that what you are consuming is going to benefit you. This turmeric powder is of the highest grade, grown under the strictest of organic standards at a family owned and certified organic farm in India.

The turmeric powder is USDA certified organic by the Colorado Department of Agriculture to ensure our Turmeric meets the highest standards.
  • All Natural
  • Raw
  • Salt Free
  • MSG Free
  • Non-Irradiated
  • Preservative Free

The texture in other brands we've had in the past is grainy. This brand isn't at all. It's super fresh.

I made Organic Turmeric Chicken

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp coconut oil
½ large onion
2 inches fresh ginger
1 clove minced garlic
½ Tbsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp crushed red pepper
¼ tsp curry
1 can diced tomatoes and chilies
1 whole bay leaf
2 lb. chicken (breast or thigh)
1 can coconut milk
Salt & Pepper to taste
Sprinkle with cilantro (optional)
2 cups uncooked jasmine rice

Directions:

In a medium sized pan bring 3 cups of water to boil. Add in jasmine rice. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

In a large pot add the oil, chopped onion, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

Once the onions have softened add the turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, crushed red pepper, and curry. Saute for 2 minutes.

Add diced chicken to the pot. Cook for 8 minutes.

Add the can of diced tomatoes and chilies, and bay leaf. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Discard the bay leaf, and stir in the coconut milk.

Add on top of jasmine rice. Sprinkle with cilantro if desired.

I would have loved to do the last step, but we didn't have any cilantro.

Now that I know Turmeric is so good for you, we'll be sure to have some daily.

Cost $19.95 for 1 lb Resealable Stand Up Pouch. You get a lot for the money.
