Panopliz Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl Review

I am super excited to share with you Panopliz Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl.

They Come With 6 Sheets:
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Pink
  • Red
  • Black
  • Green
Size:

9.8" X 9.8"

Uses:
  • It's meant for clothing. You can add it to shirts, jackets, coats, aprons, skirts, canvas bags and more. Isaak wanted a shirt, so I made a shirt for him.
  • I plan on using it within mixed media art pieces on canvas. I haven't tried this yet, but will show you when it happens.
Flashy Gold For a Boy:

What does a mom do when a boy loves sparkly, shimmery, shiny gold, and wants it on a shirt? Well I had to make him a shirt. There's no chance I'd find a shirt in the store with flashy gold.

He agreed to a pirate shirt.

Process:

If you have a Cricut Cutter that's ideal. The instructions include a Cricut Cutter. I don't have one. It took awhile to cut out the design by hand.

Once the work of cutting it out was done I set out to iron it on. The side with the glossy film is up. Iron especially the pointed cuts.

After it's ironed - let it cool. This doesn't take very long. Peel up the film. That's it! You're finished.

I had no problems with it folding, or wrinkling up. I did place it a little too low on the shirt. Sometimes I have trouble with placement on clothing.

Isaak loves his new shirt!

I made it big, so it will fit him in the spring and summer.

I can't wait to try and use it with my art projects.

Cost:

$25.99, but on sale for $17.95! Get it while it's on sale.

Have you ever worked with vinyl?

Angel Crafts 12" x 12" Self Adhesive Vinyl Review

I've reviewed Angel Craft products in the past. Their 12" x 12" Self Adhesive Vinyl certainly wasn't a let down. I know I'll use it for a lot of projects coming up.

Colors:

This set comes with 30 sheets all together. I love all the variety of colors that come in their sets! A perk is that they throw in 5 extra sheets.

Yellow and Greens

Neutrals

Purples and Blues

Pinks, Oranges and Reds

I have a list going of different ideas I have for upcoming projects:
  • My igloo piece is getting close to being done. With Travis' residency I got kind of behind. In this one I'm incorporating square or rectangle vinyl pieces.
  • A raven flying, but its wings are breaking apart. In this one I'm incorporating square vinyl pieces.
  • Honey bees with gas masks on. I haven't decided what shapes I'm putting in that one.
  • A big cherry that's also a bomb. I'm incorporating circle vinyl pieces.
  • A large strawberry being shot up with growth hormones. I haven't decided what shapes I'm putting in that one.
  • Three sunflowers bursting because of the high heat. I'm incorporating circle vinyl pieces.
  • An octopus with a tire around its neck. I'm incorporating circle vinyl pieces.
  • A plastic bag blowing in the wind, stuck on a tree branch. I haven't decided what shapes I'm putting in that one.
I'm not really super gloomy, I just have a series going that is about destruction. I'll work my way into happier things.

How to Use the Vinyl:

  • You can use it like me in mixed media projects.
  • You can use it to cut out for crafts. We have a cutter here at work, and I let a student use it for her portfolio. It worked great. She just said that the program that went with the cutter was a lame version of Illustrator. The vinyl worked great though.
  • You can use it to make stencils for airbrush, or spray painting.
I love this new set of Self Adhesive Vinyl! It's bigger than the other sets they've given me to review. You can get it on Amazon for $29.95.

Have you used vinyl sheets before? What would you use them for?

Disclaimer: I received these vinyl sheets for a discounted price for the purpose of this review. The opinions are 100% mine.

6x12 Self Adhesive Vinyl Sheets by Angel Crafts Review

I've reviewed Angel Crafts Self Adhesive Vinyl Sheets before. They didn't disappoint me then, and amaze me now.

There's so many variety in terms of colors.

There are 35 Gloss Colors:

Gloss Black, Gloss White, Matte White, Matte Black, Brown, Magenta, Tomato Red, Tangerine, Sunbeam Yellow, Kelly Green, Blue, Plum, Wild Cardinal Red, Fiesta Pink, Teal, Violet, Royal Purple, Lavender, Beige, Silver, Medium Grey, Gold, Olympic Blue, Sapphire Blue, Sunflower, Lime Green, Dark Green, Red, Burgundy, Peacock, Flat Black, Matte Yellow, Poppy Red, Forest Green, & Azure Blue. Plus they send 5 extra.

All 40 sheets are $16.95!

It's durable, with a strong 3 mil thickness. It's meant for indoor use, but will work outdoors for up to 5 years.

I decided to use the vinyl on a new painting that I've been working on. It's not a style that I usually use. I was commissioned to paint a cat in an Anime style. I mixed the style with textures and materials that I like to use.

The collar and heart on the cat are vinyl. I love it because the vinyl sticks to paint, and I can paint highlights and shadows on top of it. It has a different finish than paint, so it stands out. There's also fishing line, yarn, textured molding paste, and acrylics used. The hardest thing was figuring out what colors to use where. There were so many to choose from.

I stuck with this color scheme, and varied slightly.

I went with a purple collar and gold heart.

The vinyl sticks so well. I take my drawing, rub pencil on the back with the side of my pencil, layer the drawing with the vinyl, trace it off, and it transfers off onto the vinyl. I use a small sewing, or medical scissors to cut it out.

What would you use this vinyl for?

Adhesive Vinyl Sheets by Angel Crafts Review

I found a new art medium I love. It's 6x12 Adhesive Vinyl Sheets made by Angel Crafts.

I've been wanting to try vinyl sheets, but never really knew where to get them. I love this set because of the color variety. They send 35 sheets in a pack + 5 free sheets.

35 Gloss Colors Consist of (I'm grouping them in like colors):
  • Whites: Gloss White, Matte White
  • Blacks: Matte Black, Gloss Black, Flat Black
  • Grey and Silver: Silver, Medium Grey
  • Brown, Gold and Beige: Brown, Gold, Beige
  • Reds: Tomato Red, Wild Cardinal Red, Poppy Red
  • Yellows and Oranges: Sunbeam Yellow, Sunflower, Matte Yellow, Tangerine
  • Greens: Kelly Green, Forest Green, Dark Green, Lime Green
  • Blues: Blue, Plum, Azure Blue, Teal, Olympic Blue, Sapphire Blue, Peacock
  • Reds and Pinks: Red, Burgundy, Magenta, Fiesta Pink
  • Purples: Violet, Royal Purple, Lavender
Yellow to Red Orange

Pink to Red to Dark Red

Light Green to Dark Green

Light Blue to Dark Blue

Light Purple to Blue Purple

The Neutrals

I debated what to do with the vinyl. I thought about making a stencil for a trunk I have. The motivation just wasn't there for that project right now. I've been in more of a painting mood lately.

I decided to make a sea turtle with a sandcastle coming out of it's shell. I'm not 100% sure I'm done just yet. I think I may want to add baby turtles in the background. Any dark spots you see on the turtle is cut out vinyl. It stuck well. I was able to do slight paint washes over the spots, which I happened to love.

I also used:
  • Paper punches, which may in the future be vinyl punches for me
  • Tooth Picks cut down
  • Rubber Spanish moss
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Matte Medium
  • Pumice Medium
  • Sand
  • Black Sharpie
I am so happy with how the vinyl on the turtle just pops! It was so easy to cut. I used a small sewing scissors to cut it. I loved how it stuck it's self to the surface. I'm so used to putting a clear paint medium down to hold stuff down. I didn't have to do that. It saved time because I didn't have to wait for anything to dry.

It's $16.95 for the set of 40 vinyl sheets. I love all the colors they sent. You can use this for other things like Home Decor, Signs, Letters, Banners, Striping, Decals, Window Graphics, Tiles, and so much more!

What would you use this vinyl for? Any ideas?
