Random Tid Bits

  1. Even as my kids age they still crack me up. Mica thought it was great to go down the escalator like this:

  2. There were people behind him laughing. I had to hurry up and take the photo before he got off. The kids certainly get their goofiness from me, and I got it from my Dad.

  3. You may have remembered me bitching complaining frustrated with all my boy's skin issues over time. It seems like I call their doctor for skin issues more than anything else. It's usually unrelated things too. Anyhow Mica got a toenail infection at camp in July. I was told by doctors that there is nothing out there to treat toenail infections for kids. I was told by others that it would take over 3 years to get rid of it; if it would go away.

I tried Henna (in India they use that to treat infections as well as an art on the skin). It turned his toe brown.

He soaked his foot in yellow mouthwash (used to be used as a sterilizer in the hospital), and non distilled apple cider vinegar. A 50/50 mix. He did this for 20 minutes a day.

He applied a mix of coconut oil, tea tree oil, lavender, and lemongrass oil once a day.

He applied Vics Vapor Rub once a day.

I had to try and get him to keep his shoes and socks off when he was at home as much as possible. I did miss my errand boy. He used to fetch things for me, and take trash out. I'm happy to note that his toenail is growing in normal! I'm keeping up with the treatment until it's all grown out. We had a little debate about that. Travis and Mica felt we could stop treatment. I felt we should continue until his toenail is all back to normal, since fungus toenails can spread. I let the doctor make the call on that. He agreed with me. He even said what I was saying, "What does it hurt?" It's just time really.

  4. Lately I've been taking photos that don't really fit into 1 single post. Here's a photo of it raining. I love to capture it slamming against my windshield. Of course I was at a stop light. I would never text, take photos, or be on my phone while I'm driving.

  5. The boys liked getting in this Telsa ModelS75D when we were shopping in the Plaza in Kansas City, MO. I have to admit the color is sweet! There was a white model that had side doors that flew open like the Delorean in The Back to the Future. I wonder how that would work in a garage?

  6. Last, but not least this shadow looks like Batman. I see it every time I walk around the building at work.

Trick or Treat Smell Their Feet

Isaak's all about running from the camera these days. Mica's all about posing.

I've posted their costumes on here before. There was the Y Superhero Party and they just randomly wanted to wear their costumes every so often. I bought them last year after Halloween. I should do that again, but I've probably missed the after Halloween specials by now. I've just been too busy.

Here they are on the night of Halloween:

Some of my other nephew's were Batman as well. Emerson wore his Batman costume into surgery on Halloween. Terra had an outfit underneath that said, "Is this a trick or a treat?" Very fitting. He got a bigger G Tube to make feeding him easier, a pick line port to put his chemo in. He got his first chemo drugs. He was cranky and has been throwing up. Let's hope he does well. Halloween wasn't so enjoyable for them. Their Daddy took their big boys, both as Batman out Trick or Treating.

Mica and Isaak had fun. A few neighbors handed them over full sized sodas, or pops (whatever you call it) and full sized candy bars. CRAZY! Isaak was scared of any scary house. Mica claims he doesn't get scared of anything.

Both boys enjoyed splitting up their candy so much. In fact Isaak asked to, "Play that game again." What he wanted to do was to split up his candy again. Daddy and I were both like, "It's already split up Isaak." Isaak didn't want to eat candy because it would be out of his stash. He's a hoarder. LOL Mica on the other hand is always hungry for ANYTHING! He asks for candy morning, day and night.

BTW I'm not looking forward to Daylight Savings Time. It sucks! I hate Daylight savings time! The boys have been needing to go to bed early. Isaak won't nap lately. No nap = PUNK ATTITUDE! When I'm fed up, I'm fed up. Off to bed you go!

Spider-Man and Batman

Isaak: "Can I go outside to play?"

Me: "Mica why don't you two go out and play."

Mica: "As long as I can dress up like Batman."

Me: "Really?"

Mica: "Ya. Oh and I want to dress Isaak up like Spider-Man."

I hear them getting their costumes on.

Isaak: "Why does Spider-Man have boobs Mica?"

Mica: "Those aren't boobs. Those are muscles."

Isaak: "Oh."

WW: Superhero's to the Rescue! {Linky}

The Y had a Superhero Party. I took my two nephew's Evan and Elijah along with Mica and Isaak. They had so much fun! They all very much got into character! I had more pictures of Isaak and Elijah because they split all the kids up into 2 groups. I decided to hang out with the 3 year old's.

Isaak Spider-Man Pumping Iron!

Isaak Spider-Man and Elijah Batman.

Isaak Spider-Man wouldn't take his mask off for anything!

Superhero Party

I saved the best photo's for this upcoming Wednesday. I do like these to! The Y had a Superhero Party. I offered to take Cousin's Evan and Elijah as well. We made a night of it. I took off work an hour early to pick everyone up at different places, got dinner and off the Superhero's went to the Y. They had fun!

Isaak wouldn't take his mask off for anything! All night he pretended to shoot webs.

There was plenty of this going on before the party:

I'm so glad they split everyone up into two groups! Cousins that are the same age stayed together and brothers got split up. YAY for me! I didn't want wrestling going on all night long.

Drawings

Mica drew this for me yesterday:

Truth be told: Mommy doesn't really like Batman. It is a super good drawing for age 5 though!

The "M" stands for "Mica". He's been kind of lazy, and has been putting just an "M" for his name. I'll have to push him to write out his name because school will want him to. I do love him using his individuality though!

Mica's never seen Batman, so I wonder how he got into it? He likes all superhero's right now though.

Here is Whistlefritz:

This drawing has been hanging on our fridge for about a month. There is something we like about it. I like that it doesn't look a lot like the original and is interpretive. Usually Mica gets so hung up on his drawings looking similar to the real thing. Mica colored him blue because we didn't have a grey marker. Whistlefritz is a Spanish cartoon that we won. It surprisingly holds the boy's attention.

Here's the original Whistlefritz:
