Guess What's as Old as My Son Mica? #sp

Our blue Honda Civic.

I got this Civic when Mica was just 2 days old. I remember holding him in the car dealership. Little man had a high pitch squeaky cry.

The car I had before this one was a green Subaru Impreza. It was a two door vehicle, which made it hard to get a carseat in and out of.

The Civic is almost 14 years old. It looks good from a distance. In certain spots it's starting to rust. I have 1 tire that won't hold air, so it seems. The car has been in a few minor accidents. I have two doors that won't lock with the power locks, and two doors that do not have the power windows that will go up and down.

True story, I so wish not everything wasn't power operated these days. I'd much rather roll my window up and down. The windows broke right after the warranty was expired.

I'm ready for it to retire, but I know we won't get a lot for it.

What's one to do?

Part of me wants to get rid of it, another part of me wants to drive it until it's on its last limb so to speak. Mica's almost 14, so possibly he can learn to drive on my little blue car.

I just learned about Junk Car Masters. They buy junk cars for instant cash. They'll even tow it away for you. You just put your zip code | make | model | year, and then milage, and then they ask you questions about your car to access how much they'd give you for it. Check it out for yourself: https://junkcarmasters.com/.

If you knew your kid was going to start learning to drive soon, and you needed a new car would you A) Just splurge and get a new car. B) Get another newer, used car. or C) Just keep driving the car until something happens where it's too expensive to fix. ???????

Disclaimer: I got a small compensation from Junk Car Masters to help with this post. All opinions are my own.

Carhenge

So I was trying to go in order somewhat of our trip, but Carhenge got missed. It was one of our first stops.

It was nice to stretch our legs there. The boys loved running around the cars.

This gives you an idea of how big the sculpture is, in comparison to the boys:

Part of the cars are buried in the ground.

You can tell the boys were the the car for awhile. They were in the silly mode.

When we were about to leave it looked like it might rain, so the lighting was totally different.

There are a few other random cars and car parts here and there.

Dino made of junk.

 Fish made of junk.

They did have a gift shop. In my mind I had the perfect idea for their shop. They of course didn't have my idea. Get some cheap toy cars, Hot Wheel size, spray paint them grey, position them the same way that Carhenge is and sell it for more money than it was to make it. No such thing. All they had were typical t-shirts and coffee mugs.

Trinkets

Isaak love to collect junk trinkets.

This last weekend I had mountains of laundry to do. I had a mission I was going to try and wash all the bedding. It got done!

In the washer I found metal parts!

I knew the washer wasn't broken. It was the contents in Isaak's pockets.

What's the craziest thing you've found in the wash?

Early 90s Flip Hairbrush

Grandma and Grandpa Spiehs like to clean and give us the stuff they don't want. A few weeks ago they gave the boys both a flip brush by Clinique. Luckily they had two. I think there might of been some fighting otherwise.

Grandma (Mom to me) used to get every Clinique bonus package there was. I imagine this flip brush was in one of the bonus packages.

The boys insist on using their flip brushes and looking in their flip mirror. Mica brushes his hair even though there is hardly any hair to brush.

What's one man's junk is another man's treasure! :)
