4WD Climber #diy #car

I like sets where kids, tweens and teens put everything together themselves!

Recently Isaak got a 4WD Climber by Mefashion.

Delima:

I love to hang on to kits like this for Christmas, Birthdays and Easter. I don't like to give the boys toys all year round. Then they expect it. Of course he had to put it together for the review.

Postitive:

Isaak needs to work on his skills of putting kits together. Summer break is a great time to do that.

Ages:

It's for ages 6 and up. I think a 6 year old could play with it, but I don't think anyone under the age of 10 could put it together. Isaak's 12, and he needed help a lot. I do think Mica would have been able to build this easier. Mica's more like Travis - a take it apart, and put it together person. Isaak's more like me - a creative builder, but not good with step-by-step instructions.

Pieces:

This is what it looked like once all the pieces were out of the box. A few additional tools were needed, but they were standard. He also needed a battery.

Instructions:

They did have instructions in the box. Many were unclear, some Travis was like, "What do they mean?" I think the instructions could have been a lot better. Someone from China tried to translate them to English. It just didn't work out, where they are understandable.

Put it Together:

Isaak had to have help off and on. If the instructions were better, maybe he would have had an easier time.

Left Overs:

They didn't have a lot of left over trash.

End Result:

I have to admit when I get something like this to review I'm nervous it's not going to work. Then what? It worked! Yay! Isaak wishes it was faster. He thought he could put it on high gear, but there isn't anything like that. It runs as it's supposed to.

Cost:

You can get it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QF2JLFK for $18.99. The same brand has an orange model marked from $28 down to $9.99, but it's not on Prime like the one I reviewed. There's a $5.99 shipping cost added to the orange model. I do feel a little jipped when I see that companies mark down the price a lot for consumers, when I spent some of my own money to buy it for reviewing.

Do you like do it yourself kits?

Disclaimer: I got this product at a discounted price to help with this review. All words in the review are written by me. They are my opinions.

Fossil On! Science Kit Giveaway

I was super excited to review and giveaway Fossil On! The Geology Game of Brains and Sheer Determination. It's a game with fossils, rocks and minerals. Your youth can explore the earth's wonderful treasures.

Everything fits in it. I do have to say that It takes some moving around to get everything to fit just right to get it shut and locked. I'm not sure that kids will be able to do this on their own.

Gift-wrap is available, so this set would make a perfect gift!

What the Set Includes:
  • A Fun Learning Game that's similar to BINGO
  • A Fossil Collection That Includes: 15 specimens of mosasaur, shark, dinosaur, etc. identification guide
  • 60+ Small Polished Rocks and Mineral Pieces
  • Cards with Fun Facts on Fossils and Rocks
  • A Hard Plastic Carry Case
Rock Collection:

Fossil Collection:

Cards:

The Game

The boys love games. The game reminded me of bingo.

There are 5 levels for up to 6 players. The game is educational. It's filled with science. It would be a great game for the classroom! It's meant for elementary ages, and beyond. You just match the fossil up with what it looks like on the sheet. Whoever has a line of fossils first wins the game.

This makes learning fun! It's an educational, science game kit offers STEM-based, hands-on learning while exploring Earth’s paleontology treasures.

If you don't care for games, it's just cool to look through the rocks and minerals.

Cost:

It's $29.95 on Prime. It's rated really high on Amazon.

Win It:

One of my readers is going to win Fossil On! The giveaway is open to residents of the US, 18+, and will run through 4/17/17. Winner will have 24 hours to respond to the email before a new winner is selected.

Open to the US.

3D Jigsaw Puzzle Review

I like to get fun puzzle things for the boys. The puzzle I have to share with you is called: Lando Cubes: 3D Jigsaw Puzzle.

This set the boys are getting when it's Easter time. Our Easter Bunny likes to set out some things that are fun, and candy.

The shapes can be torn apart, and you have to figure out how to put them back together again. It's not easy. I knocked one apart, and did get it to go back together after a few minutes.

The three Cubes:

This is my favorite one! Why? Because the colors remind me of the movie E.T. and candy Reese's Pieces.

Cost:

It's listed as being on sale, but it doesn't give the original price. This set is $16.99 + it has free shipping for Prime Members.

S.T.E.M.:

This helps with S.T.E.M. thinking, which stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

S.T.E.M. helps mentally prepare little and big brains for preplanned thinking, and problem solving. Kids and adults that play with puzzle type toys have better test scores, and they exercise their brain.

S.T.E.M. uses convergent thinking. That means that there's a preplanned way of thinking with only one result in the end. I think devergent thinking activities are great to do as well. That's more free play with lots of creative options to achieve one result in the end.

The Benefit of Puzzles:

Put down the smartphones, kindles and other devices and stimulate your mind instead. This isn't an old-fashioned flat puzzles. Solving problems through trial and error, developing kids are able to form neurons and literally GROW their brains!

Challenge For All Ages:

Users of all ages (7 and up actually) can benefit from this brain exercise that sharpens your logical thinking and promotes creativity. Not just a kid’s game!

I've always loved puzzles. Do you?
