I was super excited to review and giveaway Fossil On! The Geology Game of Brains and Sheer Determination. It's a game with fossils, rocks and minerals. Your youth can explore the earth's wonderful treasures.

Everything fits in it. I do have to say that It takes some moving around to get everything to fit just right to get it shut and locked. I'm not sure that kids will be able to do this on their own.

Gift-wrap is available, so this set would make a perfect gift!

  • A Fossil Collection That Includes: 15 specimens of mosasaur, shark, dinosaur, etc. identification guide
  • 60+ Small Polished Rocks and Mineral Pieces

The Game

The boys love games. The game reminded me of bingo.

There are 5 levels for up to 6 players. The game is educational. It's filled with science. It would be a great game for the classroom! It's meant for elementary ages, and beyond. You just match the fossil up with what it looks like on the sheet. Whoever has a line of fossils first wins the game.

This makes learning fun! It's an educational, science game kit offers STEM-based, hands-on learning while exploring Earth’s paleontology treasures.

If you don't care for games, it's just cool to look through the rocks and minerals.

Cost:

It's $29.95 on Prime. It's rated really high on Amazon.

The Cutest Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Eraser Set - Adorable Cat Review

I'm happy to share with you The Cutest Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Eraser Set - Adorable Cat I got to review. They are really cute!

The set comes with 12 erasers. That's a lot of erasers! My aunt has a big Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on Easter, so I plan on donating many of these erasers to the hunt. There's 13 kids all together, but I got a set of 12 dogs and a set of 12 cats to review. There's plenty to go around.

They came all packaged up with each other. The packaging seemed good, and it shipped really fast!

Price:

$9.99 for all 12 erasers! Buy one and get 30% off Lovellio's Charming dry erase calendar. I didn't read close enough to know that I could buy a calendar for 30% off. I may have gotten one, or two.

Choose From 2 Prints:
  1. Loyal Dog
  2. Adorable Cat
I hope they expand to have other animals too. Possibly add a fish, or I'd love a hedgehog set. Cats and dogs are the two animals that most people would have as pets.
A Great Gift Set:

This is a great set to get. Especially if you get the calendar that is 30% off. You could give this set to kids for Valentines, Easter time, a Birthday, to a Teacher for Teacher Appreciation Day and more.

Not Your Ordinary Stationery Set:

Lovellio makes their sets fun by adding cats and dogs to their sets.

Other Perks:
  • The erasers are also great for small little hands. I like that they are square instead of the big erasers that are used most of the time.
  • The erasers are magnetic. How cool is that? I tested them out on our refrigerator, and they worked.
The only downfall I saw was that some of the dog prints are great prints, while others look a bit faded.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

I don't know if I ever like one over the other. I'm allergic to both. I think cats are fluffy cute, it's nice that they can be on their own during short trips. Dogs are more of a companion, man's best friend - right? Dogs make their owners more active because they have to walk them often.

Dauber Dawgs Dot Markers Review

Isaak loves playing with different mediums, and materials. The trouble with him is that he gets bored, and distracted easily. We have a lot of different things around that he can work with.

Recently I got Dauber Dawgs Dot Markers for Isaak to review.

Isaak new exactly how these markers are used. He has apparently used similar ones at school.

It comes with 8 colors:
  1. Purple
  2. Red
  3. Pink
  4. Orange
  5. Yellow
  6. Brown
  7. Green
  8. Blue
I like that the colors are the color name instead of funky names like Blueberry Blue, or Pea Green. They should be listed just their color name because kids are using them that are possibly just learning their colors. Isaak knows his, but these markers can be used by toddlers to.

I also like that the lid and label match the color that they make.

Color Sheets:

Dauber Dawgs has 100 color sheets that can be downloaded and printed off. I did see some negative comments where customers thought there was going to be some color sheets in with their package. Printing 100 sheets can get expensive.

Maybe they could have 10 coloring sheets come printed with the package, and the rest available on their website.

Isaak likes to just color out of his imagination, so this didn't really effect him.

Here's what Isaak came up with:

It would be best to use thicker paper with them, so no warping occurs.

This is part of a book Isaak is working on.

The Markers Before and After Use:

This was before use. I only dabbed it down on paper once.

This was after use.

Washable?

They are supposed to be washable. Isaak used them on a book, so that he wouldn't get marker on the table, or floor. The book had marker on it that wouldn't wash off. Isaak's hands had marker on them that wouldn't wash off. Overall he didn't make too much of a mess. It washes off to an extent.

Here's the box that Isaak colored on, but tried to wash off. There's still pink on the box.

Overall this is a great addition to my creative boys art stuff.

Best Ages:

They are best for toddlers and preschoolers. Isaak's a little old for them (almost 8), but he still enjoys them. Any age can use them.

Cost:

They are $23.99, but are on sale for $15.97.

What's your favorite thing to color with?

Disclaimer: I received a discount for the markers that were discussed in the review. The opinions are 100% mine.

What We Thought:

My husband loves this! He asked, "Why can't you give this to me?" Then he thought that Isaak would enjoy this set along with him. Here I thought Mica would love it. Now I don't know who to give it to? It's a fight for this Christmas gift. They all would want it. If you're a regular reader you know my family, who would you give it to? Maybe Santa should just set it on the coffee table with no name. It could be a family gift.
  • It's a Chemistry Set
  • It's an Art Set
In my family we would totally use it to make little marquettes for little sculptures.

Rock N Learn DVD #Giveaway

I'm so lucky to get Rock N Learn Multiplication RAP DVD to review. This is a $19.99 value.

I didn't know what to expect. I've reviewed 2 of their Sight Word DVD's before. They were geared towards younger children. Multiplication RAP DVD is for grades 3 and up. It has catchy tunes that make math fun, and easy to learn math facts.

Mica loves reading, but he's been struggling with math. I learned from his teacher that Mica is not alone. His class just got switched to Common Core this year. I think once he gets it, he'll be fine. Any time you introduce something new to the curriculum, it's going to take a bit of an adjustment. His teacher says that Mica actually does really well with math in the classroom, so it's just a matter of getting it down when it comes to his homework.

Mica starts learning multiplication and cursive soon. I jumped at the chance to have Mica watch Multiplication RAP DVD. It does follow the Common Core State State Standards.

Rock N Learn alone has won over 150 awards. I know their videos are a great way to jump start kids with learning. They are wonderful for homeschooling to. Yes we send our kids to school, but we do a lot of learning in our home as well.

What I wasn't expecting is that Isaak - who is 6, would sit in, and listen to the DVD as well. In fact Isaak got out a piece of paper, and started taking notes. He loves math, and wanted to figure out multiplication. Isaak's only in first grade. I was worried about the DVD confusing him. He's only covered addition and subtraction. When products say a certain age, or grade and up it's usually wise to wait.

It may look like chicken scratch, but he was trying to learn it. He filled the back of his paper with notes to. He seemed so eager to learn. Isaak always love numbers. He isn't as into reading though.

Both my boys loved Rock N Learn Multiplication RAP DVD! It kept them entertained. The raps were catchy, and not annoying. I give it 4 stars out of 4 stars.

Rock N Learn sells many DVDs and CDs for all different ages. Their products go from preschool age to 8th grade. Many of their DVDs for the upper grades are for 5th to 8th grade.

Mica was looking at their other DVD options and said he wants Earth Science. He's really into learning about weather. A stocking stuffer idea. It's great that each kid is into something different.

Win it!

One of my US readers are going to win their choice of DVD, or CD from Rock N Learn.
*Just a reminder they have products that go from preschool all the way up to 8th grade. You will have 48 hours to claim your prize. The giveaway will end on October 2.

Here is a coupon code KR8822 to receive 25% off any of their products.
