Comfortable, Stylish Leak-Control Underwear Giveaway

I've reviewed a few products from Wearever. So far none of them have let me down.

This time Wearever sent me a pair of underwear to review.

They have a lot of selection. I wish that I would have known about these before I had my kids. They have pairs that let your tummy breath. There's a liner in them if there is any leakage. I don't have problems with that now, but when I was pregnant with Mica he was breech, and kept kicking my bladder.  These undies are so comfortable!

They have undies for guys to. They have a liner of fabric on the inside.

Does Spider-Man Wear Underwear?

Isaak was in his room getting his pjs on.

He said,"Mom does Spider-Man wear underwear? If Spider-Man doesn't wear underwear, I don't want to wear underwear!"

I said, "Isaak I'm pretty certain Spider-Man wears underwear." In reality I'm pretty certain I don't really know if Spider-Man wears underwear or not.

I put this on Facebook and these are the comments so far:
  • Pretty certain, but not like 100% certain....Hmmmm
  • How do you know, have you seen it? I vote no underwear, I don't see an underwear line.
  • Thong?
  • Spidey totally wears undies. When he fights bad guys his suit gets torn a lot. He can't be seen swinging home with his stuff hanging out.
Pretty insightful for a 4 year old to ask something that I have no answer for. Of course if Spider-Man doesn't wear underwear I don't want Isaak to be like him.

What do you think? Does Spider-Man wear underwear or not?

Two Pairs of Underwear

Last night when we got home from work, I told Isaak to go in and try and go potty. He's fully potty trained, I just remind him sometimes. He has been missing the toilet. We've been reminding the boy to aim. That's a story in its self.

Isaak went and came out and said, "Can you believe I'm wearing two pairs of underwears today?" He said, "Underwears" instead of "Underwear". I just looked at him oddly, but was laughing inside.

The boy dressed himself with no help from me; except for me laying out his clothes. He should be doing this EVERY morning, but sometimes we're strapped for time; other times he's sleepy and stubborn.

Sure enough Isaak had on bright orange boxer briefs with puppies on them and Lightning McQueen briefs over the boxer briefs. It was a silly sight!

A little while later I said, "Isaak can you take off you clothes and jump in to take a bath?"

Isaak said, "Mom why do I have to take a bath?" I didn't really answer. I just said, "Please go get ready for you bath."

He came out of his room and said, "I know why I have to take a bath! It's because I was wearing two pair of underwears today!" I replied with, "Sure. That must be why." -Just to get him to get in to take a bath.

Holy Underwear

Isaak had to go potty, while we were in line at the grocery store. I hesitantly said, "Mica will you take him?" I knew Isaak wouldn't go in by himself, but he also was being a punk to Mica. What's a mom to do?

Mica agreed to take Isaak potty.

Mica came out of the bathroom and whispered to me, "Mom there's a problem."

I said, "What is it honey?" Thinking that Isaak pushed him, or tried to wrestle with him in the bathroom.

Mica whispered, "Mom, Isaak has holes in his underwear!"

I said, "Really where at?"

Mica said, "On his hip."

I said, "It's ok we can just throw them away at the end of the day."

At the end of the day:

I said, "Isaak just throw your underwear away. They have holes in them.

Isaak said, "No mom I want to keep them. I like these underwears!" -Yes he calls them, "Underwears".

I said, "Isaak just put them in the trash. You have a whole drawer full of underwear."

He didn't throw them away, so I did.

The next thing I knew they came out of the wash. He must have picked them up out of the trash and put them in his hamper basket. They are back in the trash now.

He's Really Into His Underwear

So the first time we bought Mica underwear {which he could remember} he said to the Walmart greet person, "We're here because my butt is getting big." When in fact he has a peanut butt for his size. I had told him that just because it was funny. Except I followed up with, "Mica you have a peanut butt. Mommy was just joking."

Last week we go again to get underwear. This time he's super excited to pick out his own. He would not put them in the cart. He held them the whole time. Then when we got home, I pull them out of the package for him to put them away. Instead he tried them all on. I kept hearing things like, "WOW these are cool!" "Oh my I love these underwear!" and "I'm so happy you got these for me Mom!"

Santa should have put some new undies in his stocking.

Yesterday when he was getting dressed Mica said, "I know I have to take my underwear off because I need to change them, but I wish I didn't have to. The colors and design on these underwear are so cool Mom!"

My six year old son is obsessed with underwear.

Daddy had to tell him, "Now don't go telling all your classmates about your new underwear and don't show them your underwear!"

When they enter school you have to watch out for all the crazy things they at home blurt out. He's innocent and excited. At school it might seem perverted and weird.

His Butt is Getting Big

Today we ventured out in the bitter cold to get a few things. I thought we'd have to go to more than one place; instead we just stopped off at Target.

I had to get Valentine treats for Mica's class party. I dislike that their treats have to be bought. I understand it, but I like to make things. I think it's so funny that we can't bring homemade treats, yet the PTA board can sell them at their fairs to raise money for the school. I ended up buying low salt Vics popcorn and mini granola bars that had pink candy melts in them. The only problem is that those granola bars were processed around peanuts. What sweet treat isn't? Lets be honest, kids do not want healthy foods for a Valentines Party. I don't know if I should venture out yet again, or just keep what I have? If I send them, I'll also send a note that they were processed around peanuts. Then any child that's allergic can just have popcorn.

I also went through the boy's section and got Mica another winter hat, gloves, silver exercise shorts and underwear. I told Mica, "Son your butt is getting bigger, so you need some new underwear." We both had a laugh. In truth he has a tiny butt for how tall he is. I let him know that. The last time I got Mica new underwear he told the meet and greet lady at Walmart, "We're here because my butt is getting so BIG." That lady could not stop laughing. Mica was so excited to pick out new underwear this time. He picked out Cars 2 and Superhero ones. He refused to put them in the cart. He held them the rest of the time throughout Target. When we got home I un-packaged the new underwear for Mica to put away. NOPE he undressed and tried them all on. Not because I asked him to either.

Laundry

Today I went to do laundry. Guess what I found in Isaak's laundry basket?

Sir topham Hatt's Car from Thomas the Tank Engine

That's not all. I also found a pair of his underwear with stickers on it. I was thinking?!?!?!?

A Five Year Old's Emergency!

I got a call from Mica while I was on my lunch break. He said, "Mommy I have an emergency! You see I have no underwear! Grandpa took us for a walk and sprinklers got me all wet. Grandma told me to take off my clothes, and now I have no underwear!"

Mica always had his preschool bag during the school year that had a change of clothing. I never thought to put any in the diaper bag. He's been potty trained for a long time now.

My solution: "Mica tell Grandma to get you a pair of Isaak's underwear." They have practically the same butt size! It's clean. They are boy's. That will work, right?

Oh and for the record Isaak calls underwear, "Hunderwear."

Daring - No Diaper

  • Isaak's been going on this diaper strike. He'll turn 3 years the middle of May.
  • I've been setting him on the toilet since he turned 1.
  • I never treated it like a do or die thing.
  • He's been standing to go. He wants to do everything himself!
  • He's gone back and forth this whole time.
  • He sometimes doesn't want to stop playing to go potty. I have found new tactics to get him to go. Like I say, "Hey Isaak do you want to go look in the mirror?",  "Isaak do you want to go make bubbles in the toilet?", "Lets go look at some pictures in the hallway." Anything to get him in the bathroom.
  • There are a few things in my mind that get in the way of potty training:
  1. Cutting teeth. Both of our kids cut teeth on the later side.
  2. Getting sick.
  3. Pull-Up's.
  4. Lack of consistency.
  • Isaak would do great with training; then he'd get sick, or cut a tooth. Downhill he'd go, and we'd have to help him back up. Much like how they eat well for a week, and then go through a time where they just don't eat much because they aren't growing.
  • Pull-Up's are wonderful because the other people that watch him have carpet. Many errands are run throughout the day where Isaak is in a car seat. At home he wears underwear. We have wood floors. Pull-Up's are horrible because toddlers feel like they are wearing a diaper; they pee in them. There lacks the consistency.
  • Well Isaak's told us that he doesn't want to wear a diaper anymore {even at night}. We're being super daring, and we're giving him what he wants {no diaper}.
  • He has a toddler bed, so it's a plastic covered mattress. I put down a pee pad, crib sheet, pee pad, crib sheet. That way when he has an accident in the middle of the night I can hopefully remove the top two layers instead of make a bed.
  • This is something new, so we will see how the no diaper thing goes. Last night I went in at 4 am, and he was wet and cold. He didn't wake up after peeing his pants. It may take awhile, and lots of laundry.

Stuck

  • It took me awhile to tell what was going on here:
  • Once I looked closer...I noticed Isaak's underwear was stuck on the handle.
  • Wait a minute son, while I get the camera and laugh at you before I get you off your toy.
