Canvas On Demand Review

Canvas On Demand has awesome gifts for everyone on your holiday list! I love the variety they have.

Ordering and Shipping:

I just ordered from Canvas On Demand last week, and got my 2 canvases in the mail already! I thought for the holiday rush that was pretty good! I did think the box could have been put together better for shipping, but the products looked great!

What did I get?

I got a coloring canvas. I did like their selection! We have a fairly small house, and are kind of running out of room for canvases. I did get one I knew would work in our kitchen. We have pepper colors: Red, Yellow and Green. Then we have Mexican decor.

I envision a future art project with Isaak coming up! I'd like to work paint, and sewing into the skull.

This is another example of a color canvas they have:

Canvas:

I couldn't go to Canvas On Demand without ordering a shot of my own family. Off we went to a park to shoot photos for the canvas and our holiday card - coming soon. Does anyone else hate that they have less daylight to take photos? I work, come home and it's dark. Weekends are my only time to shoot! We're busy on the weekends. It was hard squeezing this photo session in!

I tried the self timer. I had seconds to get in that shot.

On their site they have options for a white edge, black edge, and photo edge. I picked photo edge. I took a photo that had plenty of room around the edge.

I'm happy with the canvas print!

Backside of Canvas:

I love how they have hangers to hang it horizontal and vertical.

Are you done shopping for Christmas? That is, if you celebrate it. I pretty much hang on to much of what I get for reviewing, and things I've won to give for Christmas. I get stuff along the way.

From incredible photo-to-canvas art for parents, Coloring Canvas for kids, and customizable photo gifts, including ornaments & more, Canvas On Demand can help with your holiday haul.

Sewing Kit Review

I've been incorporating sewing into my artwork. It just adds another media that one would usually see in a painting/mixed media piece.

Recently I got a 100 Piece Sewing Kit by Ebeauty to review:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N109DM0/ie=UTF8?keywords=Sewing+Kit. I love all the new fun colors in it.

What Does it Include:
  • 32 Small Reel of Threads
  • 32 Bigger Reel of Threads
  • A Small Scissors - This is the one thing I wish wasn't in the kit. They were hard to use, and made poorly. They bent up after the first time I used them.
  • A Plastic Measuring Tape
  • 2 Plastic Thimbles
  • Needles
  • 2 Threaders
  • A Storage Box - To me this isn't the high area of the set. There isn't a lid for the "box". I think it's more like a tray.

Thread material:
  • Polyester
  • It's Both Durable and Strong
  • Suitable for a Sewing Machine
  • Suitable for Hand Stitching
What I Used the Thread For:
I'm working on a mixed media piece about captivity. I sewed the Mocking Bird and the Girl's hair. I still need to do the cuckoo clock. That too will have sewing in it.

Cost:

Only $9.99 with Prime, which is such a great deal!

The Biggest Thing I'm Excited About:

Is all the colors!

Do you like to sew?

Acrylic Color Set Review

I love reviewing art supplies! I recently got an Acrylic Paint Set.

Who Can Use These Paints?

It can be used for beginners, pros and anyone in between. It's for kids and adults. These paints are non-toxic. Kids will need help opening up the paints. They have a metal that needs to be punched with each tube. Luckily the cap has a point on one side that is meant to punch the tube.

24 Colors!

I love the variety of colors! You wouldn't NEED this many colors, but having them is awesome. They are in smaller tubes. If you do nothing, but acrylic paintings you'll run out of paint fast. I do a lot of mixed media pieces, so I don't mind the smaller tubes. I look at this this way - if they are small tubes they won't dry out like bigger tubes. I can never use all the paint fast enough with the bigger tubes.

Colors includes: Zinc White, Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Mid, Orange Yellow, Scarlet Lake, Vermilion, Orange, Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Green Light, Emerald Green, Viridian, Sap Green, Raw Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Red Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Vandyke Brown, Black

Benefits:
  • Images will be vivid
  • Sharp colors
  • Lots of colors to choose from
  • Can be used on different surfaces
  • Can be used for arts, and crafts
Cost:

$31.97, it was knocked down to $27.97 and again to $17.97

What I Used Them For:

I started a mixed media piece. It's not done yet! It took a bit to get it done enough to put up on this review. It's a girl with a hoop skirt. Inside the skirt is going to be a bird cage with a mocking bird in it. On the wall there will be a cuckoo clock. It's a piece about captivity.

I did a transfer technique for the wallpaper, glue for the ground/molding with acrylics and colored pencil lines, paint and fabric for the girl. Her hair has a lot of sewing lines in it. I'll take better and more pictures of it when I'm done.

What would you paint if you had these acrylics?

Easy Canvas Prints Review and Giveaway!

I was super excited to review a canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints. I had an instructor in grad school that would get the start of his illustrations printed on canvas and then paint on top of that.
We decided that we wanted something printed to hang on our wall that we took on our trip to Toadstool Park. I love photos that we took hanging on the wall. The fact that it's on canvas makes it even better.

I do like our print. It did turn out more lavender than I wanted it to be.

I love how they have options for the sides of the canvas! You can choose a color for your border, or an image wrap like I did. I love the image wrap I got! I just think it's so cool to see the design continue on the edges.

They even put a hanger on your canvas for you for free. They do have an easel you can buy at an additional cost.

I loved how easy my photo was to upload. The site told me if it was a high enough resolution. I love that!

I got a 16"x20". They have other options size wise.  Everything is on sale right now. I have up their full prices. Please check out their site to see what's on sale!

  • 8"x8" is $39.99
  • 8"x10" is $44.71
  • 11"x14" is $62.03
  • 12"x12" $59.98
  • 12"x18 $73.46
  • 16"x20" $89.41
  • 18"x24" $103.89
  • 24"36" $146.42
  • 30"x40" $174.50
They have special touches you can get for your photo. You can get a black and white, sepia, and special retouching.

I'd love to get some other images printed, and make a display section. They have examples of grouped images on their site. That helped me envision what I'd like for my display to look like.

Now it's giveaway time! One of my readers is going to win an 8"x10" canvas!
This is open to US and Canada. No PO Boxes will be accepted.
