ANAiRUi Coconut & Walnut #facialscrub Review

ANAiRUi coconut and walnut scrub feels great on the skin.

I mainly got it for my dry forehead. All other parts of my face are just fine. My mom thinks I need to talk to my allergist doctor about my dry forehead. It is not dry all the time. This leads me to think it's not connected to allergies. The air gets dry, and so does my forehead.

The grit is actually coconut and walnut. I suppose they could have added charcoal dust, and/or fine pumice.

When I used this, it didn't feel super gritty. I don't know if that's so bad. Some scrubs are so gritty they feel like I'm taking sand paper to my face.

It doesn't tighten up my face. I'm ok with that too. I actually dislike the feeling of the skin on my face tightening all up. It feels a bit like I'm being shrink wrapped.

It has both olive oil and jojoba oil in it. The product hydrates during the scrub.

You can get it here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GYFPVKJ, for $12.99. I'd buy it again. It would work great as a stocking stuffer, or small gift.

Do you use face scrubs?

Random Tid Bits

I'm going to try and think up what we've talked about this week. Welcome to our sick, twisted way of thinking.

  1. We went to Tractor Supply Company. We were walking around just looking at things. All the sudden we came to the section where there were a bunch of axes.

Mica said, "Oh this is the spot where people get axes to hack up little children." Say what?! I laughed, but wondering if I should be worried.

  2. I was driving, and saw someone with their arm stuck out of their window. I thought to myself, That's disturbing when people do that. What if they got side swiped? They'd no longer have an arm. I told Travis that when I got home. He said, "Only you would think that way." I said, "Just think about all those single shoes you see on the interstate, or highway. It's always just one shoe. What if there were lonely arms laying around like that?" By that time I was laughing so hard tears were flowing from my eyes.

  3. Isaak's love for paper continues. He now likes cutting out paper chain dolls. I happen to love this about him. I love that I find them in odd spots. He's all boy, but gets into sparkly gold, and crafts. I like that he's not afraid to be himself.

  4. I had Travis draw a line down my face to see how crooked my nose looks on the outside.

I left the line on my face for 1/2 a day. Travis is like, "Are you ever going to take that line off?" I said, "Maybe." One of my old students posted this:

I was cracking up! Maybe I'll have nightmares. I look like an alien or the late Michael Jackson in the first one, and a Gorge character from Fraggle Rock in the second one.

  5. Gorge Character from Fraggle Rock

  6. The Education Director asks me for my files for my Friday class every time when she's going over them on Thursday. She says they are missing. I reply back with, "That class hasn't happened yet." May I can get a DeLorean, and time travel to get my final grades, video, review, and test results just to get her my files early. It was seriously funny the first time. Now it's a moment in time where I want to slap my forehead and say, "Jeez-us!"

WW: Face {Linky}

Once upon a time a few weeks ago two little boys were sick.

I decided that I'd draw on crazy eyebrows with my eye pencil towards the end of the day when they were feeling just fine.

Isaak decided that wasn't enough, so he found my pencil, and drew on a beard too.

Needless to say it was hard to get off. I scrubbed the poor boy's face.

The next day it looked slightly raw.

The day after that his skin was peeling. I applied coconut oil. That made his face super red. I dabbed at his face with water and a washcloth to remove the oil, and added non scented lotion, which made his face even worse!

It was time to send the doctor's office these images. I kept the message brief.

I should note that I rarely contact the doctor's office, but when I do it's always some skin issue. Mica, Isaak and I all have sensitive skin!

In the meantime I had him on some Benadryl, which helped a lot.

Nurse on Monday Morning: Try some Cortaid, which is a mild Steroid Cream. By the way how did this happen? What was put on his face to make it this way?

I ran through the whole story, and sent the photo of our horrible eyebrows. Can you imagine what their office was thinking that day?

I Get a Message Back From the Nurse: That's a funny picture, but what do you need?

Apparently we weren't on the same page. I found out she was a different nurse. It's no wonder that she didn't know what in the heck I was talking about.

Here's Isaak's as of yesterday. The redness is gone, but he still has peeling on his face.

Here he is today:

Vitamin C Cleanser Review

I confess I tried to wax the fine little hairs above my lip with wax strips. What happened? A chemical burn of some kind. Seriously that's how it feels. I'm plucking with tweezers for now on! I don't have very many hairs. Just a few on the sides of my lips that I want gone.

Of course this happened right before school started. I think I'm going to white lie to my students, and tell them I put a lotion or make-up on my face that I was allergic to. They don't need to know that I was trying to wax my little hairs. If I told teens that they'd picture me having a full blown mustache.

So what do you do when you have a chemical burn? As long as you show no signs of vomiting, fever, or faintness you just need to keep the area clean. This isn't that major, so no doctor visits for me. I imagine some do get that bad because they can lead to staph infections.

I've been cleaning my face that's non-irritating formula. It's Vitamin C Cleanser. It's a face wash that has natural and organic ingredients.

Indian Healing Clay Review

Have you ever used clay on your body? I have not. I've seen people post about it, and wanted to give it a try. I got Indian Healing Clay for review.

I have to admit I was a little afraid to try it out.

Therapeutic Strengths:
  • Skin pore cleansing - Shrinks pores, tightens, and tone them
  • Detoxifying - This is a better detox than Calcium Bantonite
  • Revitalization
  • You can use it on any skin type - Oily, dry, or sensitive skin
  • Helps to sooth and heal including cuts, bruises, insect bites, bee stings etc
Use:

Indian Healing Clay Powder comes in a 16 Oz container. It's $22.99, but on sale for $12.95. It's made in the US. Wyoming to be exact. There are no additives.

I was expecting it to be a liquid mud, but it's a powder. That's great because the mask won't dry out.

You mix the clay powder with equal parts of water. Just make a little. I made way too much the first time, and had to throw some away.

Apply it to the face, and let it harden for 20 minutes once a week.
This is when I first applied it. No I'm not pretty with it on. It dries, so the clay absorbs into your skin. The boys kept laughing at me. I laughed saying, "I don't know why you keep laughing at my face. There's nothing wrong with it."

Towards the end of the 20 minutes your face feels tight, like you can't move. You just wash your face off with warm water.

Next time I'm going to try 15 minutes. My face was bright red after I washed it. It could be red because I never really scrub my face very hard. I usually use my hands, and not a washcloth to clean my face. I didn't have any continued break out problems after about 20 minutes.

Clay makes a fabulous facial mask, for shrinking pores, tightening and toning skin, removing impurities, and just making your skin look and feel great.

Today my face feels softer than it has in a long time. I have very sensitive skin. My face isn't red, or in pain at all.
