Lavender Essential Oil is a steam-distilled oil that relaxes and rejuvenates the body and mind with a fresh floral aroma. Peppermint Essential Oil Review + Giveaway

There is so many uses for Peppermint Essential Oil. It's just wonderful stuff!

I really like how many oils come with a cap, and a glass dropper.

Benefits:

It's: Kosher, Vegan, and NAH Certified.

I use mine mostly to be able to breathe more effectively by adding drops to my bath water, or in boiling water. I have allergies to the extreme.

I've also added it to coconut oil for the skin, homemade lip balm, homemade deodorant, and the list goes on.

Peppermint Oil Cures Headaches. Energize your senses with this stimulating and cooling essential oil! A natural approach to reduce stress, headaches and anxiety.

Peppermint Essential Oil for Steam Treatment. When placed in a steamer, peppermint oil can help reduce mucus in the throat. Simply add a few drops of peppermint oil to boiling water and breathe in the steam.

Peppermint Oil for Use around the House. Numerous household uses, including keeping mice, spiders and ants away.

Peppermint Oil (Mentha Arvensis) from La Lune Naturals. This is a highly concentrated oil and should be used with care. Always dilute before any use other than aromatherapy.

I love that Lalune sends over a PDF book for recipe ideas.

DIY Peppermint Deodorant is so easy to make. There are a lot of chemicals in most of the deodorants that you buy in the store. I'm trying to move away from them.

Ingredients:
  • 3 1/2 Tablespoons Shea Butter
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Beeswax
  • 3 Tablespoons Arrowroot Powder
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Vitamin E Oil
  • 23 Drops of Essential Oil of Your Choice: I used Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 3 Capsules of Powdered Probiotics

Directions:

In a small pan melt Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and Beeswax. Stir the ingredients until they are melted. I used a rubber baby spoon to stir everything, which worked really well.

Take the pan off the heat, and add in Arrowroot Powder (you can replace with corn starch), and Baking Soda. Stir the ingredients until it is not lumpy. Add in Vitamin E Oil, and Probiotic Powder. Stir, and let it thicken to the consistency of pudding.

Put the mix in the empty deodorant container. I bought empty deodorant containers on Amazon.

It smells wonderful! Yes buying all the ingredients up front can be a lot, but it's just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. It takes awhile to go through a stick of deodorant. The ingredients last.

I think about the future. Mica will someday be using deodorant. I don't think I'll make peppermint scent for him, but making my own is better than buying most of the stuff they sell in the stores. You can reuse the container after you are done with it to make yourself some new deodorant.

Win it!

One of my readers is going to win their own Lalune Peppermint Oil! It's a $35 value. If you can't wait to buy it, it's on sale right now for $19.99.

*Sorry, but this is for US only.

Pepperment Oil - 100% Pure & Natural Essential Oil Review

I love peppermint oil. It smells so good. Just breathing it in makes me feel relaxed.

I got a large 4 ounce bottle of Peppermint Oil - 100% Pure and Natural Essential Oil by Pure Body Naturals to review. It comes with a glass eye dropper. A $45.95 value, but it's on sale for $19.95.

This Peppermint Oil is Steam-distilled from leaves of the Menthapiperita (peppermint) plant. Completely Pure without additives or filler. Therapeutic Grade. Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans. No animal testing was used in the making of this product.

What I love about essential oils is that they have multiple uses.

Soothing and Energizing:
  • Relieves headaches.
  • Helps ease respiratory problems.
  • Helps to ease symptoms of asthma and bronchitis.
  • Reduces dandruff and lice problems.
  • Helps reduce joint and arthritis pain.
  • Makes you feel a little, or a lot more relaxed.
I have had success with it helping in regards to allergy headaches. Peppermint Oil is known to help relax strained blood vessels therefore preventing or relieving headaches and migraines. Use in strained areas and pressure points by applying and rubbing in those areas.

Open up your airways and relieve mucus from the nose and throat. Put Peppermint Oil into boiling water and breathe in the steam from the water. I've done this, and it really helped open my breathing up.

Reduce anxiety levels with the use of the peppermint oil with aromatherapy. The mint, sweet, menthol aroma will help relaxation in the body and mind.

Natural and Nontoxic:
  • You can use this around the garden, home, or in the office with no worries.
It's non-toxic, highly concentrated, natural, and undiluted. It will not harm pets, or people. It's steam-distilled. No Dilution or Filtering. No Additives or Fillers. The Highest in Quality and Purity. Therapeutic Grade. Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.

Multi-Purpose:
  • Repels rodents such as rats, and mice.
  • Repels insects such as fleas, tics, flies, rats, mosquitoes, mice, midges, spiders, bed bugs, ants, and roaches.
Now that I know these uses I'll take this with us on camping trips, picnics, and other outdoor events!

I like to use my peppermint oil in the bath. It's relaxing. You can put drops right in the water. I made Homemade Peppermint Brown Sugar Scrub.

Recipe:
  1. Fill the container 1/2 full with brown sugar. You can do 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar.
  2. Melt coconut oil, and pour into the sugar. Stir until it's all mixed up.
  3. If it's too much of a liquid at this point, add more sugar. Continue to stir.
  4. Add drops of peppermint. Add as many as you like smell wise. Stir some more, and you're done.
Coconut oil does turn into more of a solid if it's cool. I make mine in a glass jar. That way I can microwave it for a minute if needed. Most of the time I do not need to microwave it. Since it's in the bathroom, and it's humid in there it keeps it soft.

I use this on my legs and arms in the shower. Isaak has dry hands in the winter, and he loves using it on his hands.

The peppermint oil makes you relaxed, and opens up my airways. The coconut oil makes my skin feel so soft.

Note: This is for external use only. It's ok to breathe it in, but it's not meant to mix with foods.
