Ultra Man Care - Premium Prostate Supplement Review

I've actually reviewed Ultra Man Care - Premium Prostate Supplement before, and thought this was a different brand. Nope! It's the same brand made by Zen Naturally. That's not a negative thing. It's worked well. I really think with pills it's hard to tell if they make a difference, if you haven't been on them for awhile.

About:

1. Increase Urine Flow - Saw Palmetto enhanced complex blend comes with both powders and extracts, vitamins & minerals to provide maximum benefits.

My husband has talked to the doctor about this. It's very common for urine flow to not be as steady for men as they get older.

2. It Helps Men to Get More Sleep and Stop Waking Up Every Night - Minimizes or Stops those frustrating nightly bathroom trips that wake you up.

My husband doesn't really have a problem getting up. If anyone, it's me and Isaak that get up. I drink a ton throughout the day. I'm supposed to because people with allergies and asthma need to. I wake up a lot to go to the bathroom. Isaak's just not as good of a sleeper, since last school year.

3. Spend Time Doing What You Love - Enjoy time with family and friends or doing activities that you love. Outdoors here you come! Movies no problem. Don’t miss the conversation over dinner or drinks because you need to find a bathroom all the time.

Again no problems needing to go all the time.

4. Perfect Gift for the Man in Your Life - There is no better gift in life than your health. Help him stay as healthy as possible. Safely Support Prostate Health with our 30 herb Premium Blend Prostate Supplements for men!

I don't think Travis agrees. When he saw that I had another bottle...He's like, "Really!?" But I do care about him.

5. Healthier Hair - An extract of saw palmetto may block 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. DHT is the molecule responsible for hair loss and also is involved in the enlargement of the prostate.

Travis' hair seems fine. He was blessed with no one in his family loosing it very young. Knock on wood!

Where to Get it:

You can get it on Amazon for $15.99 $15.19: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Man-Care-Supplement-Urination/dp/B07JJRB9VW/ref=sr_1_71?keywords=prostate+supplements+for+men

Packaging:

The bottle came protected. It had a sealed plastic wrap that went over the cap. There was a foam cover on the inside. It was in a bubble wrap envelope.

On Amazon it does show a box. I do think that should come off the Amazon picture. Both times I've gotten this there was no box. I'm glad because I don't feel like there needs to be one.

There does seem to be ample room in the container for more pills, or they could package it in a smaller container.

The pills are standard sized, and easy to take.

Do you take any pills regularly?

Prostate Supplement for Active Men - Saw Palmetto Enhanced Review

I think it's important to take care of yourself any way that you can.

I got Travis a product made by Zen Naturally. It's the Ultra Man Care product for prostate health. It's for active men, and Travis is always active doing something. It's Saw Palmetto Enhanced - Veggie Capsules.

What it Helps With:

-Healthy Urination & Frequency Flow
-Prostate Health
-Better Sleep
-Healthier Hair

This product may block 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. DHT is the molecule responsible for hair loss and also is involved in the enlargement of the prostate. I say may because every body is in fact different. What works for one, doesn't work for another.

Where to Get it:

Get it on Amazon Prime for $15.99 $15.19: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JJRB9VW. They do have different buying options.

It did come with a foam top and plastic that covered the lid.

I do wish there were more pill + bump up the cost, or shrink the bottle. Most pill bottles waist so much room. I'm one that cares about our landfills. I recycle, but know not all recyclables get recycled. Sad, but true. I reuse when I can. I just wish pill and food companies didn't waist so much room in the packaging.

Instructions:

There are 60 pills. You are to take 2 at a time. It's best to drink an 8 ounce glass of water, take the 2 pills 30 minutes before eating for the best results.

We tend to take our pills in the morning with breakfast. I'm thinking this should be one Travis takes before dinner.

What's a pill you take to make you a healthier you?

Random Tid Bits

  1. Mica's been complaining about his vitamin not going down all the way. It's a typical vitamin size, and he's had vitamins that you swallow for years now. Do you have problems swallowing vitamins?

  2. Instead of drinking water to push the vitamin down, Mica decided it would be a great idea to chew a paper towel to swallow. He came into the living room with his mouth full, was chewing, and talking weird. I said, "What in the heck is in your mouth?" He said, "Oh nothing." I asked him again. Then he told me. I said, "Go spit that out!"

  3. The other day Travis got a text from Mica saying that his bus took him out to west Omaha instead of home. It was the late bus, and he was the only one on it. Not his typical bus driver. He must of thought Mica was a different kid. When he got here we were both like, "Why didn't you tell him?" He said, "Because we're not supposed to move, while the bus is going." I said, "There had to be stop lights, or a stop sign!" He's like, "I don't know. I just wanted to listen to my music I guess." We were all shaking our heads. At least now I'm laughing about it.

  4. We were supposed to have snow happen yesterday. It didn't really happen.

  5. Saturday will be super busy around here. Mica has a Quiz Bowl across town. Isaak has 2 basketball games. Then the boys have their Leadership Camp in the evening. What are you doing this weekend?

Dr. Benjamin Rush Natural Whole Food Multivitamin Review

Dr. Benjamin Rush Natural Whole Food Multivitamin is great for men and women!

Right now I'm outnumbered with boys, so they'll be taking most of these. I like that I don't have to switch bottles from Women's Vitamins to Men's Vitamins. We take a daily vitamin, and I review them any chance I get to save money.

Our kids are ok with gummy pills, or pills they swallow.

When to Switch Kids From Kid's Vitamins to Adult Vitamins:

I never really knew the answer to this. None of the bottles really say when to switch from kids to adults. Our boy's doctor said, "Around the age they start going through puberty." When you think about it, that's the time they grow a lot, need more, and are as tall as some adults. We switched our boys when they were 10.

Allergies to Colds:

It's hard to stay healthy this time of year. Allergy season is in full swing. Often times when the weather starts switching there's more colds floating around. I want my family to stay healthy! Two weeks ago Isaak got his first cold, then I had it last week. I still feel like my ears are plugged, I'm wheezy in the morning and at night. It was a few days in on the cold before I declared myself sick, and not just suffering from allergies.

I love that these vitamins have probiotics and digestive enzymes in them. I wish I would have gotten the vitamins a month ago. Maybe they would of helped prevent us from getting sick.

Perks About Dr. Benjamin Rush Natural Whole Food Multivitamin:

They are made in the USA! That's not something we can say about every product sold here.

They are sugar-free! I don't know if I can say the same thing about the gummy vitamins.

They are made for Vegetarians and are also gluten free.

Pills:

There's 90 in a bottle. I do think like many bottles they could have packaged them in a smaller one. There was a lot of empty space in there. Another option could be to fill it up more, and move the price up.

You are supposed to take 3 a day. I just won't do that. We eat a pretty balanced diet, so 1 a day is all we'll take. I really start to feel like an old person when I take multiple pills a day.

Where to Get Them:

You can get them on Amazon for $24.95. They are not on Prime, but shipped fast to me! You can purchase them, for a save and subscribe to get them for $23.70. I have to be honest I've never done a subscription with anything on Amazon, so I don't know how it works exactly.

Pick them up here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0742J2PCR

#fishoil is Great to Take for #dailyessentials #wellness #spoonfulcorp #healthyliving #salmonfishoil

I am usually on some kind of fish oil. It's a natural way to lower cholesterol. Both my Mom and my Day have high cholesterol, and mine tends to be on the higher side as well.

Spoonful Omega-3 Fish Oil is a great brand! Not all fish oils have Omega-3, which is wonderful for the brain!

Where to Get It:

You can pick up a bottle at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FB31WGV. They have three different buying options. A Soft Gel 3 pack is $19.99, a Soft Gel 1 pack is $9.99, and a Enteric 1 pack is $14.99. I got the Soft Gel 1 pack to review.

There are 100 pills in a bottle, but each serving is 3 pills. I wish the serving was just 1 pill.

It's made right here in the US!

How It Came:

It had a foam piece on the top with a layer of foil. Plastic was coated on the lid to help keep the lid from coming off during shipment. It all sees to work. Everything was in tact.

There isn't a lot of waisted space in the bottle like some pills.

I do think it's hard to tell if pills work for a review. There just isn't time to tell if it's working before the review goes up. Fish Oil is great to take regardless.

Have you ever taken Fish Oil?

Vibranelle Advanced Probiotic Review

I've gotten in the habit of taking a probiotic daily when any one of my family members are feeling off. I just feel like it puts us in the risk category of getting sick less, and shortening any sickness we may get.

You can get Vibranelle Advanced Probiotic Pills here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073WPJQHZ

Cost:

$16.99, which isn't bad. It's actually marked down to $15 right now.

Protected:

It came with a plastic seal on the lid, and a thin styrofoam cover under the lid. There was cotton on the inside. They didn't filled the pills to the top, so they could use a smaller container, or fill it up more and raise the price.

About:

They are for men or women. I like that because I hate have more bottles around. I already buy different vitamins for Travis and I. I don't need two sets of probiotics around.

They are made in the US. Not very many companies can afford to make their products in the US. It's great when this can be done.

They are FDA approved. I've learned that a lot of companies that make pills try to jump through the hoops with being FDA approved. With somethings that matters to me. I certainly care about what goes inside my body for sure! With topical things I just read the ingredients. Topical products don't have to go through the regulations that food, drink and pills do. It's kind of silly because topical things get absorbed through the skin.

5.75 Billion CFU, 7 powerful strains. I have to be honest when I say I don't really get what a good strain is and a not so good strain is.

They have a Patented Controlled-Release Delivery System, which means probiotic bacteria survive stomach acid and are delivered directly to the entire digestive tract and colon. They boost the immune system including digestion, energy, weight loss and mood. They combine seven different clinically researched bacterial strains, cultured under carefully controlled conditions to ensure identity and effectiveness.

Serving Size:

The serving size is just one a day. I'm really glad about this. I really don't take too many pills, unless my allergies act up. I do take a daily vitamin, Milk Thistle, a Probiotic and Apple Cider Vinegar. They are all vitamins, but feel like I'm a walking addict. For my allergies I take Aspirin to help the nasal polyps from coming back, Singular when needed, do a nasal wash, and puff an every day inhaler when needed.

Do you have a favorite brand of probiotics?

Vibranelle Apple Cider Vinegar Review

Vibranelle Apple Cider Vinegar Pills are great for anyone that has a higher cholesterol, has a family history of high cholesterol, acid reflex problems, or asthma issues.

Unfortunately I fall in most of the categories above. I always say my immune system sucks! My Mom and Dad have higher cholesterol. They eat super healthy, and my Dad is very active. I've done a lot of things to get rid of some allergies, but my gene pool wins with that too.

You can get Vibranelle Apple Cider Vinegar Pills here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073WNYFK2

Cost:

$11.00, which isn't bad.

Protected:

It came with a plastic seal on the lid, and a thin styrofoam cover under the lid. There was no cotton on the inside. They pretty much filled the pills to the top. I like that they use the container wisely.

About:

They are made in the US. Not very many companies can afford to make their products in the US. It's great when this can be done.

They are FDA approved. I've learned that a lot of companies that make pills try to jump through the hoops with being FDA approved. With somethings that matters to me. I certainly care about what goes inside my body for sure! With topical things I just read the ingredients. Topical products don't have to go through the regulations that food, drink and pills do. It's kind of silly because topical things get absorbed through the skin.

It's potent and is pure. It does have other things in it besides Apple Cider Vinegar: Spirulina, Lecithin, Kelp, Apple Pectin, B6 and more.

Apple Cider Vinegar helps support digestion, circulation, skin and immune health. Improving blood sugar regulation.

I know some people scoff when I say that I'm drinking water with Apple Cider Vinegar. It does look a little off color, and "The Mother" floats around like a cloudy brown substance. With pills you don't have what some people dislike: The bad taste. I really don't mind the taste so much myself. Pills don't raise eyebrows at me. They are better on your teeth too. Apple Cider Vinegar breaks down the enamel of your teeth. It's not so bad if you drink it down, and brush your teeth afterwards. Not everyone brushes their teeth in the middle of the day when Apple Cider Vinegar may be needed.

I read on livestrong that it's good to up Apple Cider Vinegar when an Asthma Attack is coming on. The lungs tighten up, and act a bit like the body does when it has acid reflex issues. I've been trying to boost my defenses.

Do you take anything to boost your defenses?

BeLive Apple Cider Vinegar Pills Review

I love Apple Cider Vinegar!

I was drinking a spoon full a day in water. In my mind I said it tasted like lemonade.

That was before I found out how bad it is on the enamel of my teeth. Isaak did a test on what would break down crushed egg shells the fastest. Egg shells are similar to the enamel of your teeth. Apple Cider Vinegar won. It broke down the egg shells faster than Coke did!

Choices:

I could still drink it by using a metal straw, or I could take it in pill form.

I'll probably do both.

BeLive Apple Cider Vinegar Pills

Can be purchased on Amazon Prime for $10.99: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPFP8MZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Why Apple Cider?
  • It is a detox for your system
  • It helps with high cholesterol - which I get from both sides of the family
  • It helps with allergies and asthma!

Why Apple Cider Help With Allergies and Asthma?

Resource LiveStrong.com

People with allergies and asthma need more acid in our systems. I'm likely to also have GERD. It makes sense. I had stomach problems off and on my whole life. It was really bad when I was little. The acidity in apple cider vinegar helps hydrochloric acid, or stomach acid, do its job which may be why apple cider vinegar relieves acid reflux, and hence asthma.

It's kind of the opposite of what you'd think. You need acid to treat an acid problem. The same opposite thing goes for wet days; if I get a dry smoker sounding cough, a humidifier tends to break up the cough.

Step 1 Buy BeLive Apple Cider Vinegar Pills to take during or before asthma issues. You can purchase a bottle of natural or organic apple cider vinegar with the “mother,” which is sediment that looks like a cloudy brown mass floating around inside the bottle. You may have to go to a Trader Joes, Whole Foods, or Natural Grocers to find it. Many brands of apple cider vinegar sold at the grocery store are refined or flavored vinegars that are dark but clear when you hold them up to the light.

Step 2 Shake the bottle to distribute the mother throughout the bottle. This is what contains most of the healing properties, so you want to make sure that you consume some.

Step 3 Pour one tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar into a glass of water and stir it well, or I put a cap on my drink and shake it every so often. Drink it in sips spread out over about half an hour.

Step 4 Repeat the treatment after another hour if wheezing has still not gone away.

Step 5 If you still don’t get relief, soak a cotton pad in shook up apple cider vinegar, and apply pressure as you hold it against the insides of your wrists. Some asthma sufferers say it can help.

Step 6 Store your apple cider vinegar in a dark, cool place, or in the fridge.

Understand that while it seems that ingesting vinegar would have nothing to do with the ability to breathe, apple cider vinegar is also a common folk remedy for acid reflux, a symptom of GERD, which is closely related to asthma in many cases.

Acid in the esophagus triggers a reflex, which causes the airways to shrink. Other symptoms of GERD include asthma-like hoarseness and chronic cough (both I get).

According to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, a nonprofit academic medical center integrating research and education with clinical and hospital care, “it is estimated that more than 75 percent of patients with asthma also experience gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). People with asthma are twice as likely to have GERD as those people who do not have asthma. Of those people with asthma, those who have a severe, chronic form that is resistant to treatment are most likely to also have GERD.” The acidity in apple cider vinegar helps hydrochloric acid, or stomach acid, do its job which may be why apple cider vinegar relieves acid reflux, and hence asthma.

Coffee is great to drink during an asthma attack as well. It's a stimulant, so it opens up the airway. Don't add milk, or sugar that are known to create mucus. Unsweetened almond or a spoon full of local honey can be added if you don't like your coffee plain.

Why Pills?
  • I've already covered that they don't mess up the enamel on your teeth.
  • They are easy to take!
  • They help with weight loss.
  • They are organic.
  • They are vegetarian. This doesn't so much matter to me, but it's important to others!
  • They are made in the USA.
  • They are FDA approved.

Organic Women’s Total Multi-vitamins Review

I take a daily vitamin. I'm never sure if they are effective, but they certainly have great things in them. Once I took myself off vitamins, and felt blah for a week!

Usually I get vitamins that most of us can take. Isaak however is still on a kid's vitamin until he turns 11 or 12. I think that's when we switched Mica over to adult ones. I got Organic Women’s Total Multi-vitamins to review: https://summitnutritions.com/shop/organic-womens-total-multi-vitamins by Summit Nutritions.

What These Vitamins Have in Them:

Live Probiotics

13 Different Superfoods

What the Vitamins Help With:

They help strengthen the heart, which is great because my Dad doesn't have a great heart. Genetically I could use all the help I could get in that departments.

They help make your hair less brittle. I do have thin hair, but it looks pretty healthy.

They help with skin. I don't know about you, but I get dry skin in the winter. The air is just so dry.

They build up the nails. I do have crappy nails from my allergies. It's one thing my allergist pointed out. Thanks doc.

They are GMO free, kosher, dairy free, and are vegan.

Packaging:

The bottle was in a box. There was a plastic piece over the lid holding it on, and the lid was covered with foil/paper. I opened it up, and most of the bottle was filled with cotton.

I just get tired of so much waisted packaging for pill bottles. This is my biggest no no in my book. Does it bother you how much waisted packaging there is for things?

Cost:

$29.99, but marked all the way down to $9.99! They certainly are worth the buy.

Do you take a daily vitamin?

ahiflower Oil Review

I love to win things!

Recently I've been participating in Nature Savvy's facebook talks and twitter parties. They happen to land on my lunch break because I'm in Central Time Zone, and they are Pacific. I don't mind eating, and following along. I learn something every single time! They had a speaker that talked all about oils to cook with. I learned a lot. In fact I went to the store, and bought some of the oils they talked about.

Here's a link to their live talk. The talk was between Andrea Donsky and Bryce Wylde. Soon after the talk I went to the store to get different oils to cook with, make salad dressings, and more.

One thing that I have been known to have is slightly high cholesterol. They discussed how ahiflower really helps. I was actually going to buy it. Then I won it!

ahiflower is better than flax. It's not from fish. No more fishy taste. I didn't really mind the fishy taste that fish oil puts out. I never tasted it.

This is the richest effective combined omega 3+6 source from a single plant! Vegetarians can have this. I'm not a Vegetarian, but it's good to know.

ahiflower Oil is branded form of Buglossoides arvensis seed oil. It's exclusively available in nature's crops.

Our bodies more efficiently than Omega 3+6+9. This boosts your brain power!

It was certainly packaged well:

Like Most Pill Bottles I Wish:

The bottle was filled up more, or that they used a smaller bottle to package the pills in.

Dose:

Take 3 pills daily. That's a lot. I have to admit I don't usually take that much. It is all good for me though!

Do you take anything to reduce your cholesterol, or boost your brain power?

Disclaimer: I received ahiflower Oil. I was not asked to review this product. I wrote this post, and was not influenced at all with an opinion. I only review things that I find interesting, or that would benefit my readers or family.
