Pumpkin Pie Smoothie? Yes Please

Travis grew some pumpkin pie pumpkins. I've been making a lot of pumpkin things:
  • Soups
  • Pies
  • Crisps
  • Smoothies
Recently I got HydroPea protein to review. Usually I add dried and ground kale to all my protein powders. I didn't do that this time. The reason is because the powder is pretty packed in the container. Possibly I will when it's down 1/2 way.

I used the HydroPea Protein Powder in a smoothie. We have one almost every morning.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, for 4:
  • 2 scoops of HydroPea Protein Powder
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop of dried ground kale
  • Whipped cream + a sprinkle of nutmeg for the topping
You can make the recipe above, or substitute things. I could see adding dates, pumpkin pie seasoning, ginger, or regular milk. You could even leave the kale out.

Truth: I hardly make the same exact smoothie more than once.
Another Truth: I liked this smoothie a lot!
The protein powder didn't make it taste chalky or gritty at all. I've had that happen with protein powders in the past. Not this one.

About HydroPea Protein Powder:
  • It has one ingredient - 100% pure raw yellow peas from Canada.
  • It contains no artificial flavors, or coloring.
  • It has no added sugar.
  • There are 27 grams of protein.
  • There are 18 amino acids.
  • Vegan? No problem, so is HydroPea.
  • Gluten free? No problem, so is HydroPea.
  • Watching your intake on GMOs? No problem, so is HydroPea is NON-GMO.
Where to get HydroPea Protein Powder:

You can pick it up on Amazon for $24.95 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VFY9BTG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I have to say that it will last a long while.

Guarana Berry Seed Powder Review

We had a delicious smoothie this morning:

  • Guarana Berry Seed Powder
  • Frozen garden strawberries
  • Frozen garden mulberries
  • Frozen garden raspberries
  • Banana
  • Water
  • Ice

About Guarana Berry Seed Powder:

It is US Department of Agriculture 100% Certified Organic. I feel better about consuming things that are certified organic. I can't help but to think allergies, asthma and other respiratory illnesses are getting worse for people because of all the sprays farmers use.

Alovitox gets the powder from farmers in the Brazilian Rainforest.

There is no artificial colors. The US is bad with all their artificial colors. Colors are so strong here in comparison to the UK.

It came in an 8 ounce bag. The bag was pretty full; in comparison to other packaging, for other products I've gotten.

It’s a natural energy booster, caffeine. A wonderful pick me up for the morning. It's hard to tell if it did boost our alertness. I think it's difficult to measure how awake you feel. I'll take their word, for it.

Where to get Guarana Berry Seed Powder:

You can pick it up at Walmart $16.99. It shipped super fast! You can get it here: https://www.walmart.com/…/USDA-100-Certified-Orga…/106386747

Do you add anything to your smoothies?

USDA Certified Organic Moringa Leaf Powder Review

We have a smoothie almost every day. It's may way of getting more fruits and veggies into our boys. I just don't think they get a lot with their school lunches. Schools consider a potato a veggie when dietitians consider them a starch.

I'm happy to review USDA Certified Organic Moringa Leaf Powder. I have been adding it into our smoothies this week.

Yesterday I tried adding it into a Mango Peach Smoothie. It was good.

Today I tried adding Moringa Leaf Powder to a Chocolate Mint Smoothie

You can't taste all the green. You taste the chocolate and the mint! It's really refreshing! I think it tastes like chocolate mint ice cream. It doesn't have all the bad things in it.

Bennifits of Moringa Leaf Powder?

  • It contains 4x more iron than spinach
  • It contains 3x more potassium than bananas
  • It contains 7x more Vitamin C than oranges
  • It contains 2x more protein than yogurt
  • It contains 4x more calcium than milk
  • It contains 25x Vitamin A than carrots

In fact, it’s packed with over 90 essential ingredients including 20+ types of amino acids, 40+ antioxidants, 35+ anti-inflammatory compounds, key vitamins, minerals, protein, Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils and phytonutrients and even protein.

Moringa Leaf Powder is truly a superfood. I still use some of the things that it contains more of in my smoothies more for bulk than anything. You just need a little bit of Moringa Leaf Powder in whatever you have it in.

Add Moringa to your morning shake or smoothie. Or, sprinkle it on your soup or salad for a nutrient and color boost. It’s also great brewed as a tea, which can be enjoyed with the leaves in the cup, or filtered through a paper coffee filter.

It's USDA-certified, organic, and gluten free.

I know I'll use this daily. A little goes a long way!

For a 1 pound bag the cost is $29.99 $18.95.

Clean Lean Protein - Strawberry Review

I got Clean Lean Protein - Strawberry to review. We use protein daily in smoothies. I also put a scoop of protein powder in homemade popsicles, homemade breads, and protein bites, breakfast cookies, and breakfast bars.

Smoothies for 4 People:
  • 2 Scoops of NuZest Clean Lean Protein, Wild Strawberry
  • 1 Cup Spinach Leaves
  • 1 Mango
  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk - More if you like it runny
  • 1 Cup of Ice
  • 1 Avocado Seed - For the avocado seed I cut and peel off the brown around the seed, cut the seed in pieces, and grind it in the coffee grinder. An avocado seed has more antioxidants than most fruits and veggies on the market and polyphenols like green tea, plus they are full of more soluble fiber than just about any other food.

Clean Lean Protein is the world's best source of vegetable protein. All natural and free from common allergens, it’s 100% vegetable, yet has all the potency (and then some) of other proteins – without the fillers, artificial flavors and other additives.

It comes in two flavors: Rich Chocolate and Wild Strawberry. I got the Wild Strawberry to review.

Sourced from European Golden Peas, Clean Lean Protein has up to 90% protein content, is low in carbohydrates and easy to digest, so you can enjoy it daily. Super-charged with all the essential amino acids your body needs and a pH of 7.8 (alkaline), Clean Lean Protein is the ultimate supplement for those who lead healthy lifestyles and are discerning about what they put in their body.

Have you tried any added protein powers in smoothies?

100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate 3 Single Serve Pk Review

Recently I got 100% Pure Whey Isolate 3 Single Serve Pk to review.

I do wish that they would have given me more. I knew up front that we weren't getting a lot to review. Companies need to understand that reviews do take time. $7.99 worth of product isn't worth my time. It takes me awhile to take pictures, read about their product, and write the review.

My boys are always hungry. This is protein that helps them get filled up.

I split one packet between the boys. On on the packet it says that you can mix it with your favorite drink. I mixed the boy's in with unsweetened almond milk.

I wish it came with a whisk because that's what I needed to use to get it all mixed up. You can see it was clumpy. There's no way shaking it in a closed container, or stirring it with a spoon would have taken out the clumps.

I whisked it with the boy's chocolate milk/hot coco electric whisk. It was mixed.

Mica liked it. Isaak didn't care for it.

In the morning I tried a packet in our smoothie. It was the bomb! We all liked it except for Isaak. He doesn't like smoothies in general.

Smoothie:
  • 1 cup of baby spinach leaves
  • 10 frozen strawberries
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 package of 100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate
  • Water (if you like it thick add a little water, if you like it runny add a lot of water)

This made 3 adult smoothies, or 2 adults and 2 children sized smoothies.

What I love about 100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate:

  • It's Lactose Free - I try and stay away from milk products. I'm not 100% perfect, but I try for the most part
  • I also love that it fills the boys up - Summit Nutritions whey protein is isolated from Whey Protein concentrate by using patented ultra-microfiltration process which preserves Natural Profile of Amino Acid unlike other whey protein isolates that denature the Protein profile by using Ion Exchange method or others - Their protein is free from protein spiking or amino acid spiking and it gives you 90% Protein per Scoop
  • It's Gluten Free
  • Soy Free
  • It's Non-GMO
  • It's Kosher
  • It's low in Cholesterol
  • Zero Fat
  • Naturally Flavored
What is Protein or Amino Acid Spiking?

Many National Brands has added extra cheap Amino Acids like Taurine, Glycine, Glutamines and Creatine to the protein powders even though they are not Food Based Protein, but added to be calculated as protein to lower the cost since they are much cheaper to manufacture. There are class action lawsuits cases against those companies (Mostly National Brands).

They don't make protein complex Whey Protein Isolate with Whey concentrate to bring cost down. So look at your Protein supplement fact and find out what is with Protein and make your choice.

Flavors and Cost:

Natural Alpine Vanilla Single Serving of 3 $7.99 | 2 Pounds $36.99 | 5 Pounds $69.99

Natural Dutch Chocolate Single Serving of 3 $7.99 | 2 Pounds $36.99 | 5 Pounds $69.99

I got the Natural Alpine Vanilla Single Serving of 3.
