Classic Aviator Style Metal Frame Sunglasses Review

One thing that my boys have been hinting at is that they want new sunglasses. I even found a pair of Thomas the Train sunglasses in the backseat, so it certainly was time for them to get new glasses.

Mica's 11 1/2. I decided to get him adult sunglasses. I went with Classic Aviator Style Metal Frame Sunglasses Colored Lens. He's getting them in his stocking. I never thought to give the boy's sunglasses in their stocking until this year. They've always been an Easter thing to get in my mind.

Colors:

One thing that's really cool about these glasses is that they come in so many colors!

I got him the ones with green lenses, but truth be told I like the red lenses the best.

  • Blue Lenses
  • Dark Blue Lenses
  • Green Lenses
  • Purple Lenses
  • Red Lenses
  • Yellow Lenses

What color do you think you'd choose?

All styles regardless of their color are $9.99. I don't want to spend a lot on my kids when it comes to sunglasses. They have been known to fight over them.

Build:

All the glasses have the same build: Metal Frames with Plasti Lenses that are Non-Polarized. They lenses are 59 millimeters. I always have trouble picturing sizes, so even when I'm told how big something is, it doesn't register.

My top love is that the lenses have 100% protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays.

My second love is that they are lightweight. That just makes them comfortable.

Do you have a favorite pair of sunglasses that you like to wear?

Disclaimer: I got these glasses for a discounted price in exchange for an honest review. This company in no way influenced me on my review.

This is Me Lately

I had an Amazon review to write for some yellow framed glasses.

I found the glasses in my room knowing full aware that they had yellow frames. I grabbed them, took selfies in the car, while my husband drove us to the zoo.

I fixed up the photos in Photoshop to adjust the exposure, saved them, and then realized that these are not the yellow framed glasses.

Daylight becomes an issue for me in regards to taking photos this time of year all the way until spring.

More selfies were in store with the right pair of sunglasses. I really like me in the first 2 photos way better, but oh well. I'm stuck with my morning, not fully awake look.

I know what happened. I had an extra pair of sunglasses in the old car that we sold. They were sitting in my room as well. My ditsy, always in a hurry self put the wrong ones on.

Disclaimer: This is not a review of the yellow sunglasses. I did get them for free to review. The review is on Amazon.

Unisex Sunglasses - Catania Occhiali Review

I needed new sunglasses. My other ones got scratched up because they were just getting old. I think the other sunglasses I had were about as old as Mica 10+ years.

I got Catania Occhiali ® Sunglasses with black frames. They come in brown and black. I always pick out brown, and decided to go with something different. Really I could have gone with either pair of sunglasses.

Their brown frames.

Their black frames.

I do like them. I'm not sure that I've been able to test them out thoroughly because it has been raining for days. The glasses still felt nice on my face, and they made everything darker.

Features:
  • They have a plastic frame. I like that they are less likely to break. They are light weight, so the sunglasses do not feel heavy on my face. Being plastic, some people might feel like they are cheaper quality.
  • They have plastic lenses.
  • They are non-polarized. I do know polarized lens help protect your eyes more from UV rays.
  • The lens width is 4 inches. They cover my eyes really well.
  • The lens are shatter proof optical quality polycarbonate lenses.
  • They are a brand new product. Factory Sealed from Catania Occhiali ®.
  • They are unisex. If you'd like to gift glasses they'll work for men or women. If my husband can't find his sunglasses, he can use mine.
I like their retro style. They kind of have a Beatles look to them with their round lenses.
I don't like that they logo is on the lens. I'm just not one to flash the logo on anything (including t-shirts). I could see how glancing up, and seeing the logo may get annoying.
They did feel nice on my face. You know how sometimes the nose pieces seem crooked? The nose pieces felt perfect on me. I even have a crooked nose.
Cost wise they are on a great sale: $59.95 marked down to $14.95!

What style of sunglasses do you like?

Sunglasses

This is what Isaak looked like tonight on our drive home:

It was raining and sleeting out; he was wearing sunglasses. I can always tell when he's going to drift off because he doesn't want to talk about his day, nor does he want me to talk to him.

It was a crappy drive home. I had to stop for gas; there was a wait. I don't blame everyone for wanting to get gas in their cars before the snow starts to fall in MAY. It's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow.

The street I was on was very backed up. Then an ambulance was going down the street that crossed mine. The street that I was on had cars in the other lane that were trying to out race the ambulance. I was thinking, What the heck? Their emergency is much more important than you, or I needing to get home! Then a car in my lane was honking at me to go. I wasn't about to try and out race the ambulance.

Isaak missed the ambulance bit. He was fast asleep; with his sunglasses on.

We came inside, ate and played Memory all evening long. Isaak says, "Ya Baby" every time he gets a match.
