I won a wonderful set from Wholesome! Live Sweetly's facebook page.

They sent me:

  • Raw Cane Sugar
  • The Cutest Wholesome Live Sweetly Mug

This weekend I used a little of everything that they sent me.

Breakfast:
  • Dark Black Coffee in the Mug They Sent Me
  • A Small Glass of Juice
  • Plain Greek Yogurt With Homemade Granola on Top
  • Oatmeal With Unsweetened Almond Milk, Freshly Ground Flax Seed and a Little Wholesome Live Sweetly Honey in Mine and a Spoon Full of Sugar in the Boy's
  • An Apple Cookie: Slice an Apple, Spread Peanut Butter on it, Sprinkle a Few Mini Dark Chocolate Chips, and Sprinkle Sliced Almonds
  • Steamed Kale

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I don't like the rushing around, but I love breakfast food, and being together.

It's even more special now that I have that mug with a heart for a handle. :)

I love Wholesome's values as a company! We don't have a lot of sweet things in our house. When we do I like it to be organic, natural and Non-GMO. All things that Wholesome stands for. They are Fair Trade Certified, Organic, Kosher Free, Vegan Friendly, Natural and Non-GMO Project Verified sweeteners sourced from ethically and environmentally responsible growers and manufacturers.

I limit our sweets, but I don't take them out entirely. It's good to know Wholesome provides safe and flavorful sweeteners that are produced with respect for food safety, the environment and human welfare.

They believe in the importance of sustainable and organic agriculture to encourage a safe and beautiful future for the planet and its people. Sustainable farming is critical to a healthy planet and healthy people. They believe that the farmers who feed the world every day deserve a fair price for the crops they grow.

It helps when I see a company that has great values. They are not just in the business to make money. It extends way beyond that!

Disclaimer: Wholesome! Live Sweetly did not ask me to write a review. I'm just sharing their products because I believe in them. I won products from Wholesome's facebook page.

OraMD Breath Spray #Giveaway

I have tried OraMD before in a liquid form, without the spray. Trusted Health gave me a bottle of OraMD Breath Spray to me to try out.

Do you ever wonder what's in your toothpaste?

I saw just this week on the news that Crest (the leader of sales in toothpaste) admitted to adding polyethylene in their whiting toothpaste. Dentists were actually cleaning out tiny plastic balls out of their patient's gums. These plastic balls literally do nothing to whiten your teeth.

If you ever read the ingredients on most toothpastes there is a disclaimer that says something to the effect: WARNING KEEP OUT OF REACH FROM CHILDREN. If accidentally swallowed get medical help. Call poison control. I don't want to be scared to brush my teeth.

OraMD puts no harmful chemicals, sugar, alcohol, or additives in their breath liquid, or spray. It's 100% pure. It's made with almond oil, spearmint oil and peppermint oil. It's made to kill the bad bacteria in the mouth.
  • Sugar in other toothpastes actually feeds bacteria. It's great that there is no sugar in OraMD.

  • Alcohol in mouthwash dries out the mouth, which can also be a perfect breeding ground for bacteria to grow. OraMD doesn't have bacteria in their products.

  • Artificial chemicals, additives, and flavors carry other health risks. OraMD doesn't have any of these additives.
 Properties of OraMD:
  • It kills the cause of bad breath
  • One spray in the mouth kills bad breath
  • It leaves a really fresh clean feeling unlike anything you've ever experienced
Cost:

You can get OraMD Breath Spray in a .17 ounce single bottle for $8.95. One spray will seriously last you all day. You can get a 3 pack for $24.95. OraMD Breath Spray is sold also sold Amazon.

Check out Trusted Health on Facebook, and Twitter.

Made in Nature Review

Awhile ago I won a box of healthy snacks from Made in Nature on Facebook!

Sometimes when I win something I'm excited about, I ask if the company would like for me to review their products on my blog?

They wanted me to feature their products.

Last week I got the box of snacks on my doorstep.

I'm the dried fruit lover in our house. It's not something I get often. I think Organic Apple Cinnamon Fusion is really good!

The box comes with individual serving sizes. I like when snacks are broken up this way because I don't eat more than I should. When a full box, or bag is sitting there with a snack in it, I eat more than I should. It isn't until I'm done snacking that I think about how many calories I just ate.

One thing I've been really good about at work is eating nothing from the vending machine. Carbs that people bring in as treats are a no no to. Organic Apple Cinnamon Fusion is a great snack that I can have on days when I'm at work. It seems like 3:30 rolls around, and I'm just ready for something to snack on.

About Organic Apple Cinnamon Fusion:

Made in Nature also sent me two kinds of Purely Elizabeth Granola.

I've been serving a small ramekin with Purely Elizabeth for each of us at breakfast.

The first time I served it Daddy rolled his eyes. All three boys were complaining that I had granola at their spots.

The next thing I heard was, "WOW this is really good!" from all 3 of them. It is really good.

I got Cranberry Pecan and Purely Elizabeth's Original granola.

About Purely Elizabeth Granola:

It's great alone, or on top of yogurt, or ice cream. I've only had it alone, and on top of rice milk ice cream.

Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter Review + #Giveaway

I got something wonderful in the mail last week. If you've never tried shea butter, give it a try.

Beauty By Shea is:
  • Organic
  • Raw
  • Imported and Unrefined Shea Butter From Ghana- Ivory
  • Imported
  • 100% Natural and Pure - Nothing Else is Added
It comes in a 16 once - 1 pound bag. It's $19.99, but on sale for $10.00! It's made with extra care to make sure that any one who buys it gets the purest Raw Shea Butter. Beauty By Shea Butter is filtered not once, but twice for perfection. It's filtered once in Ghana, and then another time at a US Lab where it's manufactured into 1 lb bricks. It's packaged into heat sealed bags, and sent over to Amazon. This preserves the natural richness, and purity for their customers.

It's bagged twice to ensure it's purity. There is a lot in the bag, to last a long time.

I opened it up, and was in love with the natural scent! To me it smelled like coco.

We had a back massage party at our house. Daddy said, "This is better then that massage oil you bought awhile back." It melts into your skin. Everyone loved the special treatment. I also used it on my hair as a conditioner. It left it feeling soft. For both your skin and hair you just need to use a tiny amount. Just like coconut oil Shea Butter hardens when it's cool, and softens when it's warm. Just put the Shea Butter in the palm of your hand, and rub it in to apply it. Start out with just a dime size amount. A little goes a long way!

Storage: Always store the shea butter in a cool, dry place in a sealed container, avoiding direct sunlight or excess heat. Best kept in 75 degrees or cooler.

It's Topical Goodness For Your Skin and Hair!

Naturally rich in essential vitamins for beautiful skin, Beauty By Shea Organic Shea Butter will nourish your skin with Vitamins A, E, F & K. Use this Beauty By Shea Organic Raw Shea Butter daily and often for beautiful, moisturized, luminous skin.

Things You Can Use Shea Butter For:
  • Homemade lotions
  • Homemade Soaps
  • Homemade Conditioners
  • Sugar Scrubs
  • And more!
Giveaway!

One of my US readers is going to win their own 16 once - 1 pound bag of Raw Shea Butter! A $19.99 value that will last you a long time!

It's your chance to fall in love with Shea Butter just like I have.

Woodstock Foods Plant the Seed Review

Awhile ago I entered a giveaway for Woodstock Foods. They were giving away seeds for a classroom. I entered hoping that they'd get here before the Garden Club ended. It did end, but Isaak has the Garden Club teacher. The school got the package today. There was a bit of confusion on the package. I had Travis bring it home, so I could look through everything, take pictures, and set everything up. Tomorrow he'll explain what the package was all about. :)

Daddy will drop off the boys, and the planting kits.

I know Isaak loves to garden, so he'll be just as excited to get these as his teacher I'm sure.

The 25 Kits Included:
  • Eco-friendly pots that are made out of rice hulls and natural binding agents which are starch-based, water-soluble, and biodegradable. The pots are made out of all recycled materials, so nothing is wasted in the making.
  • GMO FAQ packets. They answer any questions people may have about GMO. Woodstock Foods is Non GMO.
  • An instruction sheet.
  • Wooden spoons for planting.
  • Organic Corn Seeds.

This is a great thing for kids to get. Such a fun, healthy way to end the school year. I love the message!

Raw Organic Yacon Root Syrup Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I had a chance to review Raw Organic Yacon Root Syrup. The thickness and color reminds me more of molasses, than traditional maple syrup.

About:

I love that everything in it is certified naturally grown organic! The ingredients are grown in Yacon fields in the country of Peru. If you didn't know like me, Yacon is a plant. In fact it's 100% pure raw all natural Yacon Syrup. There is no added preservatives. It's bottled and tested in the FDA certified GMP facility in the USA.

Why Yacon?

It is low in calories, and low on the glycemic index scale. This is due to the fact that the sugar contains high levels of oligofructose (inulin), a form of sugar that is not metabolized readily by the human body. Yacon is a great alternative to conventional low calorie sweeteners. It's perfect for people that struggle with diabetes.

Product Details
  • 100% pure Yacon syrup has shown to assist in weight management.
  • It increase fiber intake.
  • It promotes good bowel function.
  • It lowered blood sugar.
  • It's a preventative to hyperglycemia.
  • Restores renal activity.
  • It is a powerful antioxidant.
  • It is high it probiotics and prebiotics.
  • This syrup contains up to 50% of FOS (fructooligosacharides). It has been found that consumption of FOS does not increase blood glucose, and helps boost your bodies metabolism.
  • It is $18.97.
  • It comes in an 8 ounce bottle. A little goes a long way!
  • Can be used as a sweetener in beverages such as tea, coffee. Can be added to fruit salads, yogurt, pancakes.

I made No Bake Protein Bites with the Yacon Root Syrup. They were so good! My boys ate them right up. We've been eating a ton of greens with protein for every breakfast. Inside the smoothie is 1 peach, 1 banana, loads of kale, ice, water and orange juice. It was for all of us to split. An egg was added to their plates. The No Bake Protein Bites recipe can be downloaded as a PDF. Enjoy!
