Party Foul's

  • Isaak decided to play in the toilet tonight. He was splashing and having a great time.
  • We try to not leave the seat up around here. Well with guests and commotion, the seat got left up, and we didn't hear him right away. It was a mess, but the positive side was that he had fun!
  • The 2nd foul was when Evan spilled his water all over the floor.
  • He literally was not paying any attention to what he was doing. He was absorbed into someone talking to him, and he spilled, and kept spilling. I'm so glad we have wood floors. It was just water too, so that is a plus.

Gathering

  • The Chili was good. I made 3 different kinds. One was a vegetarian kind. Guess what? The vegetarian didn't even touch it. But I loved it! It was a white Chili with Great Northern Beans, Pepper Jack Cheese, Sour Cream, Chopped Green Chili's and more. So yummy!
  • The company was great too! I enjoyed seeing my friend Sarah's twins again. They talk a lot more now. Isaak wasn't too clingy, which was a plus. In fact he let other people hold him.
  • I do wish that my friends Jenni and Debbie could of been here, but I understand that people are busy! We all are!

Letter to Isaak

  • I wrote this letter to Isaak on Facebook when I was frustrated because he wouldn't take a nap.
  • It felt sort of good to write it! It said:
Dear Isaak, Could you please take an afternoon nap, so that Mommy can finish getting the house clean for tonight's gathering. Your brother sleeps so well, please follow in his footsteps. Trust me you'll be in better spirits tonight if you sleep now. Love, Mom

Clean

  • I cleaned all day for a get together we had tonight. I originally invited all high school friends, but many of them backed out because they were busy, so I decided to invite more family members.
  • I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.
  • It feels nice to get some work done!

Isaak Tries to Say "Mica"

  • I've been waiting for the day that Isaak tries to say his brother's name. It finally happened.
  • He's been saying it for a few weeks now, but I didn't quite get it until lately.
  • Isaak says, "Myna" for Mica. Mica himself said "Myno" for his own name for awhile when he first started talking. I thought "Myna" was just another version of "Ma Ma". LOL
  • Isaak sometimes yells, "Myna" when Mica is in another room, or when I'm yelling for Mica.
  • I still haven't heard Isaak say his own name yet. Of course the "Ca" and "K" sound are the last and hardest sounds for a kid to say. The "Ca" and "K" sounds are in Isaak and Mica.

Growing Up Too Fast!

  • I think it's sad that my baby looks like a little boy after he got a hair cut and I put on a bigger size of PJ's.
  • I know he's a toddler. But he looks so grown up to me!
  • Heck Mica's a giant compared to Isaak. They grow up too fast!
  • I didn't cry when Mica went to preschool for the first time, but some transitional time in one of their lives I'm sure I'll be a mess. I feel sad just putting baby clothing away that is too small.

Show and Tell

  • I felt bad for Mica and Daddy. Mica told Daddy that he wanted to bring a toy to preschool yesterday. Daddy told him, "No you're going to school, you don't need toys at school."
  • We try our best not to bring toys places when the kids really don't need them. Toys just get lost, and the kids don't need to be dependent on taking them places.
  • Mica got to school and the teacher asked, "So Mica, did you bring a toy to show today?" Mica looked sad. Daddy felt awful!
  • They told me in the initial preschool meeting that the kids could bring toys, just not on Mondays because they are so busy on that day.
  • Last year Show and Tell wasn't really a big part of the program. In fact only one kid really brought toys to show. It was never told to us that Wednesday was a Show and Tell day.
  • My sister Terra said that Evan hasn't brought anything. It's too bad Mica was sad, and Daddy felt bad!
  • Maybe tomorrow I'll send a toy with Mica. Next week on Wednesday they have a field trip. I asked him what he wants to bring? He wants to bring Happy Meal Toys like his Incredible Hulk and his Magic School Bus finger puppet. Go figure.

Little TV For Isaak

  • There are many differences in my two children, but one that really stands out is that Isaak could care less about TV. Mica loved TV too much at Isaak's age.
  • Isaak may watch a clip of a sing/dance scene in a kids show, but will soon loose interest, and go play with a ball.
  • All the flicks Mica watched, Little People, Elmo, Mickey Mouse Club House, Isaak doesn't really care too much about any of them.
  • This is a good thing, except for when I want time to get something done. Isaak's always at my feet. It's a love, hate relationship with him at my feet. I love to be loved, and I hate that I can't get too much done.

Shake Baby Shake

  • Isaak started shaking his head "Yes" to things that you ask him.
  • Probably the one question he'll shake his head to a lot is, "Isaak do you want a snack?"
  • Daddy asked him yesterday, "Isaak do you have to go potty?"
  • He shook his head "Yes", went into the bathroom, and proceeded to get the potty seat out to put on the toilet. Then he didn't go. He really likes the duty of getting his potty seat out. LOL

Off With His Hair

  • Daddy cut Isaak's hair last night. Just in the back and on the sides.
  • He was starting to look like he had a mullet.
  • I know I'm going to miss his sweet, soft curls in the back of his hair.

Boy Friend

  • Mica told me a few days ago that Isaak is my boyfriend and Daddy is his boyfriend.
  • The things they come up with. LOL

Livie & Luca

  • Some kid shoes are just soooooooo cute. Livie & Luca is one store that has really cute shoes.
  • My Organized Chaos is giving away 1 pair of shoes from their site. Go there to win!
  • It was hard picking a few shoes to put on here. I wanted to put them all on.

Off to Bed!

  • The kids went to bed at 7:45 pm tonight.
  • Isaak didn't take an afternoon nap, so he was naturally whinny! He's in the transition stage of going to 1 nap a day. Sometimes he still needs 2.
  • Mica told me that he was ready to go to bed. That boy naps and sleeps pretty good! Some kids his age do not nap at all. Mica gets wound, and mouthy when he doesn't nap. Otherwise he's a pretty good kid.

SinuCleanse®

  • Mica gets nose bleeds from (A) picking his nose and (B) dry weather.
  • The SinuCleanse® is a product that helps clear out the sinuses.
  • This product is fairly easy to use, and it doesn't hurt.
  • 1 lucky person who signs up at Feisty Frugal and Fabulous with this giveaway will win a SinuCleanse® Kids Mist™ (includes 3 Week Saline Solution Supply).
  • I'm the Queen of allergies, so naturally I want to win this product, but I want to give you the chance to win as well.

Stung

  • I got stung on the leg by a yellow jacket tonight as I was putting on my PJs of all things.
  • We just got done from being outside working for an hour. Out there I was by bees, and nothing happened.
  • I'm just glad that one of the kids didn't get stung.
  • I didn't know what was going on when it happened. There was just a sharp pain, something stuck in my skin. Then I saw the bee fly out of my PJ bottoms. Daddy, my hero stepped on it. Now I have a bump on my leg.
  • I haven't been stung by a bee since I was 10 years old or so.
  • I was stung by something small when I was pregnant with Isaak while I was driving back from the doctor office. It's a mystery as to what stung me then. I couldn't exactly look since I was driving.

Number 2

  • Isaak went poop for the second time on the potty today. He's gone pee, I'd say every other day it seems.
  • I saw him start to go in his diaper. I asked him if he had to go potty, and he ran to the bathroom. Soon after he went!
  • What's great is that he can say, "Poop" and "Bathroom" now.
  • He also goes upside down when I tell him to. That makes wiping him easy.
  • The hard thing is that he wants to play with himself. That makes peeing difficult! LOL It must be a boy thing because Mica did this too. One time Mica actually peed in his own face! Yucky, but funny. Isaak also wants to play with the toilet paper, which is a typical every kid thing.
  • Sometimes I'm not sure when he's officially done. I've taken him off thinking he's done, and then 10 min. later he'll poop or pee again. I don't like leaving him on too long. We'll get it soon enough. I'm not in a hurry. I just like exposing him to the idea, so that he's not afraid of the potty down the road.

Dishes in the Sink

  • If I ask Isaak to put his dishes in the sink, he does it.
  • It has to be plastic though!
