I'll Be Back Later This Week

Usually I do a Wordless Wednesday.

I just know realistically that it's not going to happen this week. We had an ice storm last week. Classes were cancelled for 2 days. Now my classes are behind. I had to give 4 lectures today instead of 2. It's snowing right now.

My nephew Emerson has to go back into the hospital. He has a huge infection where his new feeding tube was put in. He started getting red, a fever, his skin was hot. Long story short they found out that his part of it came off inside him. His white blood cell count is 18.3 when the normal is 5-10. He has to go back in tomorrow to have surgery.

I'm taking in Emerson's 3 other brothers tonight. Mica has a middle school open house, so we're all going to that.

I'll be back on Thursday I hope.

Until then..

Tiger Tie Down Straps Review

My husband has been busy making a second batch of sculpture. Most of his original portfolio from before sold. That's a good thing, but sculpture takes time. He has lots of pieces he's working on right now.

I know that if he makes bigger pieces it's hard to transport them. I think Tiger Tie Down Straps should help!

They are usually meant to tie down bikes, but why not sculpture?

Extra Strength!

Tiger straps extra strength ratchet tie down 4 pk will provide extra security and will prevent damage to a vehicle, U-Haul, or trailer. They are 20 feet long. The length is nice for bigger things.

I'm glad that Travis is going to be using these. I worried that if someone were to crash into his backend that he'd be toast because a sculpture may go flying into the front seat. The worry is no longer present.

Their extra strength webbing is manufactured from 100% polyester, which guarantees not to hold moisture or stretch. The tie down straps are webbed and UV treated so the sunlight won't wear them down, and they won't loose durability.

Tiger #1 in their market for being the bestselling smart straps! Why? Because they secure larger loads.

STAR Ultrasonic Pest Repeller, Pest Control Repellent Review

I just got STAR Ultrasonic Pest Repeller, Pest Control Repellent to review.

We don't really have a pest problem in our house, but my husband's work does. They keep getting mice. They've been trying to do whatever they can to eliminate the problem. It just seems to linger. Cobalt Blue Glass Bottles With Trigger Sprayer Review

I heart my new Cobalt Blue Glass Bottles with Trigger Sprayer.

I've always had plastic, which feels cheap! Essential Oils can degrade plastic over time. I never knew that essential oils broke down plastic. Such a great thing to know! I suppose that with kids they could get thrown around and broken. I to can get the case of the dropsies at times. If that happens, well it happens. I still like the idea of chemicals or essential oils being in glass way more than plastic.

They were super easy to fill up. Isaak couldn't wait to put water in one of them to test it out. He loves spray bottles.

They work great for Essential Oil Blends:

One thing we do a lot is clean around and in the toilet. The boys usually hit the toilet, but there are times where they don't. Up to this point I just used store bought cleaners. I decided to try and make my own.

Germs Be Gone Toilet Cleaner
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile soap
  • 1 Tablespoon tea tree essential oil
  • 10 drops eucalyptus or peppermint essential oil (I use peppermint because I have it and I love the smell!)
Combine all the ingredients in a bigger bottle, shake well, and put in the smaller sprays. We have specific rags that are used for cleaning. I tend to clean when I know I'm going to do laundry, so the rags aren't sitting around (gross). If I clean when it's not laundry day I go throw the rag in the washer.

It did the job!

All Purpose Cleaner
  • 2 cups of white vinegar
  • Lemon peel steeped in the vinegar for a few weeks
  • Take out the lemon peel
  • Pour into spray bottles
  • Add 10 drops of lemon essential oils
This one takes a little more preparation, but I like the results. I use this on my kitchen counters. Lemon in the kitchen is such a great scent.

Dusting Spray
  • 1 cup fractionated coconut oil
  • Add 10 drops of lemon or peppermint oil
I shine my wood floors with this mixture as well.

My work uses 409, and my allergies go crazy on cleaning day! That's why I make my own!

Cost: The 2 Cobalt Blue Glass Bottles With Trigger Sprayer are $12.95. It may be more expensive than plastic, but so worth it!

Because they are cobalt blue bottles they don't even look tacky sitting around. They maintain liquids sensitive to degradation from light and cobalt blue glass protects against harmful UV rays.

They are excellent for around the house cleaning projects, chemicals, cooking and beauty applications Perfect For Essential Oils, Perfume Oils, Colognes, weed killer, and other liquids.

What would you make, and put in these bottles?

Allurials Jasmine Hair Conditioner Review

Recently I got Allurials Jasmine Hair Conditioner to review.

Cost:

This product isn't that expensive. It seems like whenever I get products that have healthier ingredients with both food, skin and hair products they are more expensive. This is $11.99. You aren't going to break your budget by using this healthier product.

It's a Natural hair treatment for dry damaged hair. My hair isn't damaged, but it does feel dry from the winter.

This Conditioner Can Be Used For:

  • All hair types
  • It is safe for color treated hair
  • It is Sulfate free
  • It is Pea Peptides free
No matter if your hair is curly, straight, or frizzy this conditioner will work on it.

If you have any allergies like me (allergic to Sulphates) this product should be great for you!

Wonderful Additives:

  • Argan oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Avocado oil
  • Coconut oil

I love all the added oils, they help not only my hair to be soft, but also my scalp. All the ingredients are natural and organic. The natural proteins included help my hair to stay glassy, shiny, thick and healthy.

You can see it's a milky white color from the different oils, but certainly washes out with no white residue.

I love this added conditioner. It's nourishing, moisturizing, and soothes my scalp and hair.

Do you use conditioner in your hair?
