Mango Salsa - Tropical Mango Salsa by SalsaCrazy Review

I had no clue what to expect when I reviewed Topical Mango Salsa By SalsaCrazy. I love mangoes, but I've never had them in salsa.

16 Fl. Oz. Cost: $12.95

Ingredients:
  • Gluten Free
  • Soy Free
  • Dairy Free
  • Pineapple
  • Mango
  • Coconut
  • Corn
  • Onion
  • Lime Juice
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Sugar
The only thing I wish it didn't have is the sugar. I think it could do without. It's a bit sweet tasting. The mango, pineapple, coconut, and lime juice add sweetness to.

This is it! SalsaCrazy's newest: Tropical Mango Salsa You've seen our Habanero Salsa, Serrano, even out Blood Mary Mix, but now they went tropical.

We had it with our dinner last night. We had home grown green beans, organic corn chips, salsa, and fried chicken.

I liked a bite of my salsa on a chip, then a bite of chicken. The salsa favor still in my mouth tasted wonderful with the chicken!

Travis has had mango salsa, but I have not. It was awesome! I had a kick of spice, but also a sweetness with the mango. If you like mangoes, you'll love this salsa. If you're not a fan of mangoes then this might not be for you. You could still try it though. This mango has a kick.

I thought it tasted like something that would be at a restaurant. I've never had salsa in a jar that tasted so good.

Have you ever had mango salsa?

Out of the Box Saturday

It's all about me discovering something that is different. I don't want to post things that you and I have more than likely heard before. I want to find something different. I'll cover something sing | songy one week, and artsy | fartsy the next.

I ran across this fun jingle:

The jingle is by Grant Woolard. He meshes a wide range of styles in his work. He started out as a science geek, and later got interested in making music videos. He took piano at a young age, and incorporates that now in what he does.

I wouldn't sit down and listen to Grant's work for hours upon end. I do however think his work playful.

Ditzy Ditzy

This week I've been a ditz.

I left almond milk and eggs in the car for 2 days. It would be ok if it were a day. Eggs and almond milk can stay out for awhile, but not in the hot car for 2 days.

I thought I lost my cell phone again. I keep wearing skirts, which have no pockets. Even when I wear pants the pockets are too shallow for my cell phone. I stopped by McDonalds to see if I left it there. I met a person there to exchange money for her cat painting. I was about to tear my office apart to see if it was there, but decided to look in the trunk of my car. There it was in my car the whole time. Now I have that app that helps find your phone.

I cut up hot peppers thinking, I can handle this. I didn't know if I had gloves, and didn't want to look all over for them. My hands felt fine when I was cutting them up. As the night wore on my hands got hotter and hotter. I washed them, and washed them. I read that you can mix up baking soda and water to a thick paste, and apply it to your skin to relieve the burn. I was ready to go to bed, so I just let it be. There's been a few times were I didn't think, and rubbed my eyes. At least that woke me up.

I went to eat my lunch the other day, and this is what was in it...

It was our whole families left over broccoli. Thankfully I took 2 lunches to work, and did actually have something to eat besides broccoli.

I tried using the remote for the DVD player on the projector. I was wondering why it wouldn't work. It finally dawned on me that I was pointing it in the wrong spot. Then a few students chuckled. I laughed to.

I'm blaming my lack of clarity on the weather. Everyone else has been off this week as well.

Random Tid Bits

  1. I'm happy to get the cat painting done that I was working on. Now I can move onto another project. I asked Isaak what I should paint? He said, "Giraffes." I might do something with them. I haven't decided.

Isaak is my biggest critic. He tells me when he doesn't like something. I have to laugh when he does that.

  2. We're into week 7 in our classes. Week 9 is midterms. It's hard to believe the year is going so fast.

  3. I realized that I talked about my next assignment in my Art Media Techniques class, but didn't show what the final images will look like. Each student gets a different square, and a different technique. They won't know what the final image is. They double the image size. It will fill up a wall pretty well. I'll show their results in a few weeks. I showed you the gnome image partly a few weeks ago. I did add a few things - fairies and more mushrooms. Then the flamingo image will be the other one they work on. I left the guides on, so you can see how they are broken up. I took photos of the flamingos at the zoo (the real ones). The background of the gnomes is my photo as well.

  4. If medical things gross you out, skip this. My grandpa, mom, cousin, sister, and myself get random cysts on our heads. They are not cancerous. Mine haven't been big like they get. I treated 2 of them a few years ago with apple cider vinegar. It burned a lot, but they popped out after a few months of treatment. Recently I got a new one. I treated it again with apple cider vinegar, and POP it came out last week. I'm so glad I don't have to pay a doctor to cut into my head. I've read that sometimes they come back because they don't get all of it.

  5. My husband wanted to go over to watch the football game with my brother-in-law. My sister said, "You can come to." to me. Do you mind going to a birthday party?" I didn't want to. I was already going to another birthday party on the following day. With her I wouldn't even know the person, and with the other birthday party it is Isaak's friend. The mom said, "You can all come." I didn't really want to, but felt obligated to go because they all came to one of Isaak's parties. My sister ended up not going to her party. I hope it wasn't because of me.

The men watched football, the kids played Minecraft, and I hung out with my sister and this little guy all afternoon:
I'm pretty sure he was wondering why I did this to his shirt. Sexy belly Edison. I'm a goof.

Rainy!

I really don't mind the rain. Well I do mind that my office ceiling leaks, and it's been "fixed" about 15 times. We've had rain the last 6 days, and it's still raining.

Our airport received 5.25 inches by 5 pm yesterday, breaking the previous record for this date of 1.97 inches set in 1977. It was also the sixth highest daily rainfall of all time in Omaha. The most ever recorded was the 6.46 inches that fell on August 7, 1999.

We're not having flooding problems, but others are. Not too far from us in Council Bluffs, some Iowa schools had to close because it's a flood plain.

Car after car is getting stuck in the muck.

Approximately seven inches of rain fell in Council Bluffs overnight. Streets were filled with water Wednesday, parking lots along were swamped. Some tree limbs were down and they took power lines with them.

Where I live in Omaha it's just been raining and raining. On Tuesday hail came with the rain.

Yesterday I had a major assignment due. The students were on panic mode because it was raining. How could they possibly get it done on time when they have to spray their projects outside? We opened up a door in the school garage for them to use. I still had a low number of students that turned the project in. I think everyone is just off from the weather.

It feels like it's spring, but it's fall.

What has the weather been like where you live?

Unisex Sunglasses - Catania Occhiali Review

I needed new sunglasses. My other ones got scratched up because they were just getting old. I think the other sunglasses I had were about as old as Mica 10+ years.

I got Catania Occhiali ® Sunglasses with black frames. They come in brown and black. I always pick out brown, and decided to go with something different. Really I could have gone with either pair of sunglasses.

Their brown frames.

Their black frames.

I do like them. I'm not sure that I've been able to test them out thoroughly because it has been raining for days. The glasses still felt nice on my face, and they made everything darker.

Features:
  • They have a plastic frame. I like that they are less likely to break. They are light weight, so the sunglasses do not feel heavy on my face. Being plastic, some people might feel like they are cheaper quality.
  • They have plastic lenses.
  • They are non-polarized. I do know polarized lens help protect your eyes more from UV rays.
  • The lens width is 4 inches. They cover my eyes really well.
  • The lens are shatter proof optical quality polycarbonate lenses.
  • They are a brand new product. Factory Sealed from Catania Occhiali ®.
  • They are unisex. If you'd like to gift glasses they'll work for men or women. If my husband can't find his sunglasses, he can use mine.
I like their retro style. They kind of have a Beatles look to them with their round lenses.
I don't like that they logo is on the lens. I'm just not one to flash the logo on anything (including t-shirts). I could see how glancing up, and seeing the logo may get annoying.
They did feel nice on my face. You know how sometimes the nose pieces seem crooked? The nose pieces felt perfect on me. I even have a crooked nose.
Cost wise they are on a great sale: $59.95 marked down to $14.95!

What style of sunglasses do you like?

Banana or Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Waffles

I love waffles! The boys could eat them like crazy to. It's important to try and make a healthier waffle. We don't eat them all the time, but on the weekends I try and make a yummy breakfast.

Through the years I've tried different recipes. I finally found one that I love. They are so good that none of us put syrup on them.

We have a family of 4, and still had left overs. Make sure you let them cool before bagging them to put in the fridge. They pop in the toaster great!

Our breakfast on the weekend is more like a brunch. We had Banana Chocolate Chip Waffles, Southern Hash (collard greens, potato, onion, and bacon), a 1/4 of a peach, Cottage Cheese, a small smoothie (spinach leaves, peach, hemp protein, ice and water), and Coffee.

What do you like to eat for breakfast?

WW: Back in Time {Linky}

I made a quick decision to head to Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is on a mission to save 35MM film. They want the younger generation to love classic films. I do to. :)

What did they show? Back to the Future. Did you realize that, that movie is 30 years old? It makes me feel ancient.

The film was show in the parking lot. I rained that morning, and they wanted to show it in the ball fields, but were afraid it would be too muddy. It was cold! It was the first fall like evening I was outside.

They had people dressed up like movie characters running around with Save the Clock Tower fliers. The main guy introducing everything had a Marty vest or life jacket on.

In the back there was a full sized DeLorean.

They served cake. I've seen the movie so many times, and that part never clicked. Joey is Marty's Uncle. He's supposed to get out of jail, so they have a cake for him. He never gets out. When Marty goes back in time he sees his Uncle Joey for the first time as a baby in a play pin. Marty leans into him and says, "So you're my uncle Joey. Better get used to these bars kid."

They also gave out glow sticks, plastic guitars, threw t-shirts out into the audience (my husband and nephew both caught one).

The projector worked for the pre-show stuff. They had a contest between 4 people to see who could play the air guitar the best during Johnny B. Goode.

Then when they were about to put the movie on, there was a few technical difficulties. They actually had to switch out projectors. I felt for them. All this was free. Tons of people were waiting to see the movie. I've had my fair share of technical difficulties in the past. They were dealing with it in the dark. They did get it up and working. YAY!

They had key lyrics pop up during the movie, so the audience could read them, and sing to them. I heard a lot of shhhing when it came to the word sh*t being on the screen. LOL I kept looking over and Mica was cracking up when he was saying the lyrics. He played his air guitar every time Marty played.

Michael J. Fox rocking out!

My boys didn't know that this is what they were watching. They figured it out with all the pre-show stuff. They were super excited. Mica in particular is a huge fan of the series.

If you could choose would you go back in time, or forward into the future?
