Lego Time with Daddy

Daddy takes his play pretty seriously. LOL
It's like being buried sand, only it's with Lego's.

Dentist and Eye Doctor

Dentist
  • I realized last week that Isaak hasn't been to the dentist. He's going to be three the middle part of May.
  • Our dentist says to wait until they are about three because they do better with instructions at that age.
  • I know some dentist's want to see the kids as early as a year old. That way they feel comfortable with the dentist.
  • Mica did just fine the second time he went. The first time didn't go as well, but we found out later that he was sick. No one wants someone digging in their mouth when they don't feel good.
  • I just called to make that appointment.
Eye Doctor
  • Mica's been complaining of his eye's being blurry. He also said something like, "Don't we all need glasses to help us see better?"
  • He blinks a lot when he's tired too.
  • He may just be interested in glasses. I'm not sure with a five year old.
  • I just can't picture him with glasses. I bet that goes with every kid before they get glasses.
  • He may not even need glasses. To be on the safe side, I'm taking him in somewhere soon to get his eye's checked in the next week or so.
  • I Photoshoped glasses on Mica just to see what he'd look like:

Wordless Wednesday - Hats

Mica's sneaky like a racoon. He loves to sneak up on us after his nap.

Isaak loves puppy dog's! It's too bad for him that we can't have one. I have horrible allergies. Even the hairless dog's make me sneeze.

Drummer Boy's

My boy's love to play the drums! We were actually thinking of getting one of those kid drum sets for them next Christmas. Where we'd put it I have no idea, but they'd have a blast with it!

Go Graham Go is hosting a $50 giveaway to Novica. I love Novica because the products are all artist made.

The boy's would freak if I won, and got them this drum!

Around The Table Family Talk Game

  • I just won and got a game called Around the Table Family Talk
  • It's great because we've been trying to sit around in a circle and just talk about our day, and ask each other questions.
  •  Usually Isaak answers every question with, "I not know."
  • We tried the game out tonight. We clearly need to play it more!
  • Mica was asked the question, "What would you do if someone offered you cigarettes?" He said, "I'd smile and say 'thank you." I don't even think he knows what cigarettes are. It was pretty funny.  We of course corrected him after I got done laughing.

Aunt Terra's Sick

  • I feel really bad that Aunt Terra got sick!
  • I did my best to keep our family away from her family.
  • I got the stomach flu twice when I was pregnant {once with each pregnancy}. It is not fun!
  • Get better Terra!

Tropical Traditions Whole Golden Flax Seed Giveaway!

After doing a review of Tropical Traditions Whole Golden Flax Seed, they want me to host a giveaway! This is open to US and Canada.

Just a couple facts about Flax Seed:
  • Flax is a pretty blue flowered plant that grows on the plains of North Central United States and Central Canada.
  • Oil and fiber components of flaxseed have major health benefits. It has both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Most American's lack these healthy fats in their daily diet.
  • It reduces coronary heart disease.
  • It is a great source of fiber.
  • Other nutrients include: proteins, carbohydrates, minerals, folate, vitamin B-6, pantothenic acid, magnesium, potassium, iron, thiamine, copper, zinc, calcium and phosphorus.
  • Your body gets more nutrients if you grind the flaxseed before use. A coffee grinder works great!
Tropical Traditions is giving away to one lucky reader the same Whole Golden Flax Seed I received!

Mica Has a Backbone

  • Mica has a class that is after preschool called Stretch-n-Grow.
  • He likes it.
  • A few weeks ago he learned about his backbone.
  • They made their backbone:
  • At first we didn't know what it was that he made.
  • Once we knew, we thought his backbone was pretty cool!

The Fight for ZZZZZZZZ's

I'm not sure why Isaak fights sleep for me on the weekends!
  • All the sudden Mommy has him, and no nap occurs.
  • I'm pretty firm about it being nap time, consistent about what time he goes down and sing or read a book before I put him down.
  • He just doesn't want to sleep.
  • I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that the boy's sleep in until 8 AM? Yes 8 AM is their sleep in time. Sad, but true.
  • On weekdays they wake up at 6:30 AM.
  • But they also stay up a little later on the weekends then they do on the weekdays.
  • Maybe he just really misses me, and can't stand the idea of not seeing my face. ;) I don't think that's the case. He has people that care strongly for him watch him all through the week.
Then there is the potty issue!
  • I have Isaak go number 2 right after lunch.
  • Even when he's gone potty, he lays in bed and goes number 2 once again.
  • I know he's fully aware of what he's done because he's wide awake, singing his little heart out.
  • The first time putting him down I put on training pants. I might as well be using them instead of diapers. That's when he goes number 2. It's frustrating! I calmly tell him, "Isaak you can tell Mommy when you have to go potty. Mommy wants to know!" Really I'm thinking, "Quit crapping your pants kid!" I would never say that! But I can think that!
  • One great thing, EcoFresh Baby sent me this sample that in a natural odor neutralizer. The best thing is that it works! The odor leaves his room right away, and I really smell nothing. No toxins!
Then there's Mica.
  • He's 5 1/2 years old. He doesn't really need a nap.
  • But why does he always sleep for Aunt Terra? Maybe she slips something into his drink a lunch time. I'm totally being sarcastic. He's the nicest kid when he comes home from being with her all day!
