Magnifeko Herb Scissors Review

In the summer time we eat a lot of green onions. I chop them up, and put them in eggs. They are really good in eggs.

I was happy to review Magnifeko Herb Scissors. It's a scissors with different blades. They make cutting herbs easier. You can get them on Amazon for $30.00 - on sale for $12.50.

About:
  • They are 5 times as fast as other kitchen sheers.
  • They come with 5 blades to tear and shred herbs.
  • There handle has a soft comfortable grip. The handle is made of silicone. If you are cutting up a lot of herbs, there is no discomfort holding these scissors.
  • These scissors are durable. They are made with a stainless steel. They won't rust, bend, or corrode.
  • They have ultra sharp that blades hold their edge well.

  • They come in green and red.
I did like that they cut herbs up in a snap. I didn't like that the green onions I was cutting would get stuck in the blades. I got a knife out to pop the onion pieces through, but that was one more thing to clean. I see myself using these more when I'm cutting up a ton of green onions, but not for day to day use.

Incredibly Versatile:
  • Great in the kitchen to cut up herbs.
  • Great in the garden.
  • Shred up paper for crafts.
  • Have them around to shred up documents that need to be shredded. I find that credit cards get stuck in the machine, so you can use these scissors to get the job done.
Simple Clean Up:

There's enough space between the blades that makes cleaning the scissors easy. They are dishwasher safe, but I cleaned them in the sink with hot soapy water.

Safe:

They scissors come with a blade protector. I like that a lot. My kids reach in the drawer where is scissors will be kept.

Out of the Box Saturday

Sing, Sing a Song Saturday is now Out of the Box Saturday. It's all about me discovering something that is different. I don't want to post things that you and I have more than likely heard before. I want to find something different. I'll cover something sing | songy one week, and artsy | fartsy the next.

This week I'm covering an artist from Tokyo, Japan. Her name is Aya Kakeda. Aya now lives in New York.

She also elaborates lots of theories about lot of things. When she doesn't indulge in her obsessions she paints and draws, creating her own whimsical narratives.

All artwork is property of Aya Kakeda!

This is such a cute children's book!

These cute shoes!

What I love about her work the most is the patterns!

Random Tid Bits

  1. It's finals time next week + Isaak's birthday, so if I'm pretty absent that is why. I picked a great time to have kids (sarcasm) - Mica's is near the first day of school, and Isaak's is near the last.

  2. I'm always ready for the school year to be over! The slackers save everything to the last minute, and rush it to boot. The upper class get senioritis.

  3. My parents decided to leave town right after Mother's Day. One of my sister's messaged me saying, "Will the 21st work to go out for Mother's Day?" I replies, "Travis will be going to New England area, so nope it won't work for us. I'll have no one to watch the kids." He's staying with people we know along the way to reduce the cost. She said back, "Well then all of June and July won't work for me." I could almost hear the snippy in her writing. Ok then - one date won't work for me, and 2 months won't work for you. Who's problem is that? I replied with, "Well we could just celebrate it with the May birthdays. Get a gift card, or something like that."

  4. Natures helicopters are crazy this year in Nebraska. Are they all over where you live? We have so many, and it keeps raining on and off. They are stuck to the ground. I was going to suck them up, but with them stuck to the ground I figured a push broom would have to do. Someone told me they used a shovel. I wish I would have done that. If they don't get cleaned up we'll have Maple trees everywhere.

  5. I was sweep, sweep, sweeping, and my broom hit something clunky. It was a bird's head. Just a head. Pretty gross if I was picking up things with my hands. Thankfully I was using a dust pan.

  6. Travis got up on the roof, and cleaned the helicopters up there. We filled up 2 lawn bags just with these things. The bottom fell out of one. I had to repack another.

  7. The next day Travis said, "Shoot I think I left the broom up on the roof!" There that sat.

Billie Jean

Mica said, "Someone from my class is singing Erma Jean for the talent show at school."

In some weird way I knew what he was talking about, but we all asked, "What?" anyway.

Mica said, "You know Michael Jackson's song Erma Jean."

Dad and I exchanged glances and both said, "You mean Billie Jean!"

Isaak said, "I thought it was Nipple Bean."

We all could not stop laughing. We have a strange family!

The first moonwalk ever performed on stage.

I told my co-workers that story. One of them said, "That's the strangest song. I never thought anyone could make a song about a paternity test."

I never knew the song was about a paternity test. I always assumed it was just about a girl that liked him. I never read more into it then that.

Of course I had to look up what the song was about after that.

Michael Jackson: "Billie Jean is kind of anonymous. It represents a lot of girls. They used to call them groupies in the '60s."

He added: "They would hang around backstage doors, and any band that would come to town they would have a relationship with, and I think I wrote this out of experience with my brothers when I was little. There were a lot of Billie Jeans out there. Every girl claimed that their son was related to one of my brothers."

The Tooth Fairy Forgot

Isaak lost a tooth this week. It's been awhile since that's happened. With this one he was bleeding quite a bit.

Isaak said, Mom blood actually tastes good.

I said, Isaak it's ok to think that, but don't tell kids at school that. It makes you sound like a Vampire. It's probably best not to try and taste your blood. Just spit it out.

Then of course he asked, Why?

I gave a half assed answer, Because I just heard it's not good for you. It probably would give him extra iron, but he doesn't need to know that.

Dad and I both knew about the missing tooth, and we both forgot about it.

Isaak said in the morning, Mom the Tooth Fairy didn't come!

I said, Oh that sucks! She probably got busy. She'll come the next night.

Isaak said almost crying, You mean I have to wait a whole other night! That's way too long!

I said, You never know. She may have just gotten busy, and will come, while you are in school.

Isaak asked, Do you think so?

I said, I don't know for sure. We'll just have to wait, and see. By the way is the Tooth Fairy a girl, or a boy? I always thought it was a girl, but I suppose it could be a boy. What do you think?

Isaak said, I think it's a girl.

I asked Travis, Do you have any change?

Dad said, Yes.

I asked, Can you please put it in his box this morning? Tell them to go to the car. Forget something, and go put the money in his box.

That's what Dad did. Along with an itty bitty note.

WW: OPPD Arboretum {Linky}

I'm going back to take more photos, but I got some good ones.

A) The boys were crazy acting together. I think I'm going to take them 1 at a time to take their photos. It was a day after I let them stay up late.

B) I was silly, and didn't check my camera's batteries.

Isaak will turn 7 on the 19th, so I try and get pictures taken for each boy's birthday. This time I wanted to take photos of both kids. May is a better month to take photos - over August, when Mica's birthday is.

I changed his shirt a few times.

Together they are crazy with opposite personalities. They bicker all the time, but love each other to. Mica's a book reader, movie lover, and likes his alone time. Isaak loves card games, crafts, picking up things off the sidewalk, and time with people.

I only got a few of Mica. He was running all around.

SkinnyStix Review

I've never heard of SkinnyStix before. They taste wonderful, boost your energy level, improve your focus, and help satisfy your appetite!

I got a box of their different flavors, and a covered cup.

Flavors: Berry Fusion, Electric Lime, and Tangy Tangerine

I happen to like the Electric Lime and Tangy Tangerine best.

About:

The highly specialized, proprietary SkinnyStix formula offers powerful appetite control, mood elevation, increased energy, fat burning, stamina, and improved focus... plus SkinnyStix taste fantastic!

Zantrex-3 has managed to transform an intense, super- powerful weight-loss formula into a take-anywhere powder available in Electric Lime, Tangy Tangerine or Berry Fusion, so now it’s easier than ever to lose weight whether you’re at home, at the office, or on the go.

Little Stix:

I love that they come in little stix that contain the powder. This does make it easy to take it on the go. I've taken mine to work. That's the place where I feel a bit drained around 3:30.

Directions:

Adults mix the entire contents of 1 SkinnyStix packet in 16 fl. oz. of water, and drink. I found that the powder dissolved easily.

It helps to SkinnyStix 15 minutes before you eat. Your tummy tends to feel full faster at meal time.

You can drink up to 3 a day.

It contains all natural powders, and is sweetened with Stevia. It's a little too sweet for me. I'm used to less sweetness. The only real negative I found is that it has extra dyes. I don't need my SkinnyStix to look orange to taste Tangerine.

Energy Boost:

The SkinnyStix formula was originally designed for weight loss, it’s become a phenomenon because people everywhere love the way it makes them feel. Many drink it before a workout for an energy boost, before heading to the office to help them focus, or in the afternoon to lift themselves out of that post-lunch slump.

Where to Get SkinnyStix: Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, and GNC

Cost: You can get a drink container and 21 Stixs for $29.99
