Do Lights Have Batteries?

Mica: Isaak! You forgot to turn off the light in the kitchen! You are wasting batteries!
Isaak: Ok Mica!

Zio's Pizzeria

We went out to eat two nights ago to Zio's Pizzeria. We've been there before, but never did they give our kid's a fist sized clump of pizza dough to play with.

Isaak thought it was Play-Doh. Both boy's played with it, then wanted to take it home. They were ok with us saying, "No."

I thought it was a great idea; to hand out pizza dough to keep kids entertained! I got a lot more pictures of Isaak playing with it because he was closer to me, and Mica was entertained with crayons and paper just as equally as the dough.

Wordless Wednesday - A Trip to the Easter Bunny

The boy's went to go see the Easter Bunny on Sunday. They were super excited!

Isaak thought he could tell the Easter Bunny what he wanted like he did with Santa Claus. His only want is, "Play-Doh."

Mica was surprised that he didn't talk. We mutually decided that the Easter Bunny is a boy because he wears a bow tie. We also decided that he both hops and walks.

The boy's got an Easter Bunny mask to wear. I think they look creepy, but a funny way.

Meet Super Lightning!

  • Mica was playing outside this weekend.
  • He was talking with the neighbor's next door.
  • All the sudden he took off inside; he came back out wearing his super hero cape.
  • One of the boy's he was talking to said, "Hi Mica."
  • Mica said, "My name isn't Mica now. It's Super Hero Lightning!" He was running around like crazy. It really looked like he could take off flying!
  • He'll be so stoked when he finds out the Easter Bunny is bringing him and Isaak a mask and wrist guards.
  • But...he's already told me that he want's boots to go with his super hero cape. The Easter Bunny isn't that rich or knowledgeable to know where to get orange boots to go with a super hero cape. ;) He'll have to do without those.

BuildaSign

  • I won an opportunity to make a custom sign from BuildASign. At first I had NO CLUE how I would use it.
  • I thought about making one for a garage sale that we plan on having late June or early July. But you can get garage sale signs for cheep and I don't know if I need or want a fancy metal sign for that. Not too exciting!
  • Then I thought about Mica's room. He has streets that run through his room, painted on the walls. I've already made many signs for his room that have the same look to them. They all have family names on the street signs. Then I found metal signs at Hobby Lobby some time ago that I added to his decor. The signs I made look like this {that is our last name}:

  • Mica's super into robots, so I'm going to make a few robots to stomp in his streets. I'll collage them out of different colored papers.
  • I shot my reference this weekend:

  • Back to the sign I won from BuildASign
  • I decided to make one for my nephew's Evan and Elijah that share a room. They have a transportation room. I made this sign for them:
  • Hopefully they like it.
  • Kids seem to like things with their names on it. I liked that I could put both of their names on it.

SmartLab Toys

  • I've mentioned a few times that Mica and Isaak are super into robots.
  • Kostiuk Crew is hosting a giveaway to win a ReCon 6.0 Prommable Rover from SmartLab Toys

Stubby Pencil Studios

  • Kostiuk Crew is hosting a great giveaway for one winner to win a $75 gift certificate to Stubby Pencil Studios!
  • I could practically buy out the store for Mica! They have countless art supplies, crafts and building things.
  • One of my favorites was this: Totem City, which is half puzzle and half model kit.

A Trip to the Playground

Mica's been asking to go the park. Today we did, but it almost rained on us. We felt drops, and we were a long way from home. We got lucky! The raindrops didn't amount to much.

I told Isaak that he had to hold Mica's hand since I was pushing the stroller. Usually he says, "No," but today he agreed. I had the stroller for when Isaak gave out with walking.

They went down the slides together.

Isaak's totally self sufficient with the playground equipment this year!

Mica kept saying, "Yee Haw" when he was on this bouncing dino.

Topical Traditions Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens Review and Giveaway!

Tropical Traditions was kind enough to send me Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens to review and giveaway!
This giveaway is open to US and Canada.

I was super excited to try something new! Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens comes in two flavors berry and mint. The berry kind is what I chose. I thought it would be good to add when we make fresh juice; it also sounded like something to add to fruit smoothies. On the canister it says that you can mix one scoop in with a glass of water. I tried it, and that tastes good as well.
I did add it to our juice this weekend.

Juice Recipe {Enough for a family of four}:

1 small watermelon
1/2 a catelope
1/2 a large cucumber, or one small cucumber
1 Scoop of  Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens in berry per glass of juice

Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens

I thought it was really good! You do need to stir it after drinking 1/2 a glass because the powder does settle.
