Isaak has only asked for a puzzle for Christmas. I went ahead and got him The Robotz Puzzle at Frecklebox. I hope he likes it!
Mica's always been gifted with puzzles since shortly after he started preschool. It's hard to find ones that are challenging enough, yet not too hard. I saw on New Age Mama a product called Stenzzles™ - Dogs Collection . I thought at first, "Oh Isaak would LOVE that." Then I saw the age and read more about it and it's for ages 8 years and up.
This challenging puzzle's goal is to have the creator
replicate a colorful image by layering the 8 Stenzzles cards together in
the correct order and orientation. To play, the player has to select one of 8 challenges
and flip, rotate and layer the cards until your stack exactly matches
the challenge image. It's both stylish and clever.

I love Frecklebox, they make nice items!
Oh, he's gonna LOVE that puzzle. Now you have me thinking that maybe I should hop over there and get one for my 5 year old. He loves puzzles.
