Today I Washed the Car

We didn't get hammered with snow. It's hard to believe. We have 4 true seasons in Nebraska. We've gotten snow as early as Halloween and we never know if Easter is going to be winter like or spring like. That makes it hard to get special outfits for those holidays. Humm...short sleeves or long sleeves? That's always the question.

Today is nice. We invited my parents over for dinner. I went to the store, and was just sick of how our car looked. It was so dirty. The boys love the car wash. I have a secret though. I've only gone to the car wash once, by myself, ever. I've been with other people. That one time that I went something didn't work. I was in line with a few cars behind me. I could not get the stupid code to work. The kids were in the car with me. I didn't know what to do. It's not like I could back up; with cars behind me. I don't ever remember what I did.

I've always hand washed it. It really takes the same amount of time to hand wash it, as it does to go to the car wash.

I'm not afraid of car washes. I'm just cheap and don't want to get stuck in front of cars again.

I called Daddy to ask him if he had time to take both cars to get them washed with me. He's like, "I don't have time. Why do we have to take them both to get washed at the same time anyhow?" I didn't have an answer. Other then to say, "I'm a complete dork when it comes to car washes." I'm not even the type of girl that has to have another girl go with me to the bathroom. I never understood that. I don't know why I'm so weird with getting the car washed.

I went home and as fast as I can I washed the car.

I missed a few spots. We don't have any hoses plugged in. I kept going in to get hot water in buckets. Yep I'm super lame for not sucking it up and just taking it in to get it washed at the car wash!

Isaak thought washing the car was so cool!!! He told me this more than once. He was all giddy when I washed it. Isaak said, "Wow we're making waterfalls. I love this Mom! Look Mica the waterfalls are now rivers!" He even helped me wash it.

Mica sprayed the tires with foam. They look brand new now.

Do you go to the car wash, or do you hand wash your car?

I can't even see where you missed a few spots. I don't like to go to the car wash either.

I've never washed my car. Ever. Isn't that why it rains?

Looks great!

I never wash the minivan. We live on a gravel road and it would be pointless. What's funny is that with all the snow/rain we've gotten, the gravel road is super muddy, so my minivan has mud splattered on the sides and windows. It looks like I took the minivan offroading, LOL!

Sounds like it was more fun to do it at home anyway. :)

You did a great job. I think we all have things that we refuse to do ourselves.

I don't wash my car or pump gas. I have my husband do that for me. I actually don't remember the last time I have done either of those things!

We normally just take it to the carwash...
I will admit, I was spoiled as a kid...

Pretty car! My car looks clean now that the 3 feet of snow is off of it. But once I get on the road it will be so dirty and I will definitely need a car wash!
