I voted a few weeks ago. We got mail in ballots, then dropped them off at the local library when we were done.
I know many were not happy with mail in ballots. I tell ya...I love voting that way. We did tons of research to determine who we would vote for. Judges are the hardest. They have no online presence, for obvious reasons. We'd look on the political pages that went over them, then we'd look at reviews online, and cases they were involved in. I just don't think I would have done all that research, had I not had the ballot with me at home.
I do sometimes have a hard time absorbing the really wordy things on the ballot, such as this...
Companies do at times have prisoners work for free to assist in their company.
Do you have problems with questions like the one above? Is it just that it's too wordy? Apparently I wasn't alone. Many others from Nebraska felt the same way.
Regardless of who wins the presidency, I hope all votes are counted. All votes matter! Shall the rightful president stay or take office.
I know it's wishful thinking, but I hope there's not bloodshed over who gets into office.
I have my opinions, but really want what's been voted for. That's only fair. I have friends and family members that are on both sides of the fence, so to speak. It's important that we respect one another; even through our strong differences! One should stand up, for their beliefs. One should also shake the opponent's hand, if they've lost or won.

I did early ballot voting in-person a few days ago. Like you, I hope people can come together and not cause this to be an outlet for bloodshed.
I voted in person because I wanted to make sure my vote was counted. Mail takes so long these days, for even the simplest of things. I guess I have no faith in mailmen. ;) Ha, I couldn't help myself. :) Voting in person wasn't great though because they didn't wipe down the area between people and there were SO many people. We've been conditioned to think of germs now and they definitely weren't doing anything about potentially passing them there...except for the pens. They told us to keep the pen, lol. :)
I voted by mail in September. With Covid, I wasn't putting myself at risk to stand with all of the people for a 2 minute vote session. I agree, I had a hard time picking judges and school board members here. At the booth I would have just guessed, but I was able to do some research on the candidates to try and make an informed vote since I had my ballot at home.
Honestly, I don't think it matters who won. Both were horrible choices. It makes me sick to see all of the bickering now because at the end of the day, us little people really don't have any control over politics. I'm sure Republicans will now have a resist attitude like the Democrats had for the past 4 years because what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? Jason and I have been seriously considering relocating to Ireland once we retire, but if this ugliness in the US continues, we're going to make the leap sooner rather than later.
