What's great is that they are nontoxic and latex free. We have some latex sensitivities in our family, so that's pretty important.

There is enough bands to make about 28 colorful and fun bracelets.

The Rainbow Loom product seem very durable. My sister bought a knock off loom, and she doesn't like hers. She also bought bands from some other place, and they are weak. Who wants their bracelet to only last a little while? Not me. Rainbow Loom bands do not have weak spots. 

Our Experience:

We plan on doing some video tutorials, but we still need practice. We're beginners at the Apel household. At this point in time Isaak's either trying his own thing, and it doesn't work out, or we're following along other people's videos on YouTube. We'll get there. In a few weeks we plan on having a Rainbow Loom party with the boy's cousins, and a few friends.

A Fishtail Bracelet and Ring

Daddy made the bracelet. He got so into the Rainbow Loom.

Isaak made the ring all by himself.  It's comfortable. I thought the sides of it would bother me, but they don't at all. I wore it all vacation. That made my littlest man happy. He's also made a few bracelets for Grandma and one of Daddy's co-workers.

EZ Grip Bike Light Review

Mica pretty much is a duplicate of his Dad. He just gets silly like me sometimes. Daddy and Mica love to ride their bikes. I think Isaak will like riding to once he figures it out.

I got the Lumenx - EZ Grip Bike Light to review. It's $19.99, but on sale for $14.99 on Amazon. Mica was so excited about it! He loves getting stuff in the mail. I feel like he's safer having a light on his bike. Sometimes Daddy looses track of time. I can just see them starting a trail when it's light outside, and then it getting dark when they finish it.

Right away Mica wanted it installed. We got it right before we went on vacation. It only took a few minutes to install it. It also has an easy integrated clip feature which allows quick mounting and fits around any handlebar, seat post and frame tube. The light can be mounted on any bike: Mountain Bike, Street Bike, or a Children's Bike. The light consists of a front bike light and a rear tail light.

You just push the top to turn the light on. There's a flashing light for an emergency situation. There's also a light that stays on when you're in the dark, or if the weather is cloudy. There are 4 modes all together: Constant, Strobe, Disco Strobe and Epileptic Fit Strobe. The lights are made out of a high quality silicone material. The back like wouldn't stay straight. That was the only problem we had with it.

Survivor Dude

If you remember before I went on vacation Mica went to Hummel Day Camp. I posted about it here and here.

BTW his rash only lasted about 4 days. That makes me wonder if it wasn't bug bites. Anyhow he's good. I gave him probiotics to help get him back to normal. When I read about chiggers AKA red bugs they kind of matched what he had as well. The only thing you can do to avoid them is to stay away from that particular spot, or wash you skin hard with soap and water.

He has the same camp coming up next week, so we'll see if he looks all rashy or bug bity then. He always takes a bath after camp, but he's at camp all day long. It's kind of hard to avoid them all together.

The Friday at the end of the camp they had a family night. They sing their songs, and do a skit. Then the kids are awarded for something.

Last year Mica was awarded the Robin Hood Award. He was pretty into archery that year.

This year Mica was awarded as the Survivor Dude Award. I guess he came to camp talking about Indiana Jones every day. They thought that award was a the most fitting. I'll be interested to see what award he gets next week.

 Directions:

WW: Brother Love {Linky}

We just got back from a week and half vacation to Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Every place was so beautiful. I'm still going through pictures, which I have a lot of.

This is one of my favorites of the boys: 

There was a mishap. Actually 3 mishaps, but this is the only one I'll post about now. Isaak left his puppy that doesn't have a name (he doesn't name any of his stuffed animals) in a hotel in Utah. We got close to Denver when we realized that his puppy was gone. He treats his stuffed dog like it's his baby. His puppy is brown, and so was the bedspread. His puppy is super loved, so we called the hotel, and they are shipping what I call "No Name" back to Nebraska.

Since Isaak didn't have "No Name" to cuddle with he decided to cuddle with Mica.
