MIRA Reusable Produce Bags. Set of 5.

One thing I use a lot of is reusable bags. I have produce bags, but I needed more of them. We go through produce like crazy around here! I'm so happy that I got a set of 5 MIRA Reusable Produce Bags.

I like this set. All the bags are the same size. Each bag measures 12 X 14 and is large enough to hold a good amount of produce. It's not the best for garlic, or small things that you may get. I get multiple things often like carrots, celery, sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes, kale, collard greens, green beans, mangos, bananas, and more.

I love that they are made out of a see through mesh. The people that check me out need to see what I'm getting. It helps that I know what's in each bag as well. 

I also love the draw string. That is one feature I dislike on my other bags. There's a plastic thing on my other bags, if that falls off my bag is useless it seems. With MIRA Reusable Produce Bags I don't have a plastic thing on the string. 

You can see that the clump of bananas fit in the bag well! It doesn't feel like the bag is going to rip.

Cost: $29.99, but on sale for $15. That may seem steep, but remember you're using these over and over again. That's less plastic consumption.

Code Master Game Review

Code Master is a new game by ThinkFun.

I have to admit I was a little nervous with this review. There isn't a lot of reviews out their on Code Master yet. Usually I cheat and check out YouTube to see how games are played before we dive in. 

This time I had to actually read to figure it out. ;) Isaak (age 7) actually caught on faster than Mica (almost age 10). Remember Isaak more my math wizard. We figured it out by reading our Code Master Instruction Manual.

There isn't a typical game board. The game comes with a Guide Scroll, and a Map Book. Those are the key things in playing the game.

There are pop outs to play the game.

What my kids were most excited about were the Avatar, Portal, and 6 Crystals. The Avatar is the player, the Portal is what the Avatar needs to reach to win. The crystals are what Avatar needs to collect along the way.

The goal of the game is for kids to learn how to code. At least think in that fashion. Each map tells you where to put the Avatar, Crystals, and Portal. In the guide scroll you put your colored plays to move your Avatar through the game board to collect the Crystals and get to the Portal. That's where it gets tricky. If you can't move through it in the correct path you loose that round, and have to start over. 

It's easiest to understand by watching Isaak play. 

Two things I want to correct on the video I created is: 

1. It is sold right now. I thought it wasn't out just yet because it didn't have a price, and it says, Coming Soon on ThinkFun's website. It's only sold at Target. 


2. The price is $29.99.

I don't think this is the boy's favorite ThinkFun game. It didn't keep their attention for a long time. As a parent I like it. I think it helps them with their logic skills.
